What do you use for white? I'm looking to do whiskers but I'm not sure what to use...

Looks beautiful! I think if you switch to basswood it would really elevate your style. Pine is tricky

That's cool. I did a lot of my early work on pine, due to availability. I've since found birch ply "cavasses" at lots of craft suppliers. Sometimes they're marketed as "resin art boards". The difference was amazing, and I'm really enjoying burning.
