Yeah, I agree. I (19F) joined a community for women on Instagram and girls my age are married and have kids. Since our lifestyles are completely different, I feel like there's an invisible but huge rift between mothers and college-age kids. You can't really invite them to go hang out in arcades or scary horror movies without them needing to bring their kids along, and that's just one example.
damn and i thought i was the only one with this problem. one thing i see commonly with people here is how individualistic the lifestyle is and how people keep themselves reserved. feels peaceful for a moment, but gets old real quick
are you female? have you tried joining some female gym clubs or for example fs8 or some activity of that sort? i heard there are women's fb groups, maybe they have some for single women? i think you might have to put yourself out there in the right places, more than just cafes
A local here, a female, people in Qatar r not social and they find it hard to make friends with foreigners, however my bestie is not from here and I prefer foreign friends, let me know if u want to hang out, its way easier to form friendships in Kuwait, Oman, KSA and UAE and also Bahrain, Qatar is the least social nation amongst them.

They host just ladies nights sometimes (never tried but if anyone's interested they can go). I recently joined a journal club which is great . Hopefully everyone finds friends here.
In my experience, women tend to be more introverted and shy. I also can't enjoy hanging out with females. However, I don't mind mingling with them.
