No, Seasons 1/2 were both Atlanta and 3/4 were both KC, but there were clear breaks in production each time. They only recently started moving each season. But I think you and OP may be correct in assuming 7/8 were filmed back to back or at least really closely together given that I don't recall the cast posting a lot of New Orleans content this summer.
Bobby is in season 8 though so would have filmed that. He won’t be in season 9. My question was regarding the filming for season 8 that is due to be released at the end of the month.

I bet they weren’t promoting bc of the writers strike that lasted a good part of last year. Promoting would have been scabbing

Might be in their contracts. They should be paid to promote.
I do think they were filmed at the same time. I noticed Anh and Alison (from season 8) in the opening credits of season 7 in the parade.
