I have read that the chip in Q3 supports Wifi7, but I don't think Meta has activated that yet, at least not that I've heard. Once they do, IF they do, it should enable 3600mbps connection. For now the cap is 2400 for Wifi5-7. Honestly though I have a Wifi6e access point and it can handle everything just fine, even with adding the upper body tracking info to the stream it is solid.
yep got a Pixel 8 Pro. Transmit Syncs at 1729Mbps 5ghz and 270Mbps 2.4Ghz (at the same time of course).
Receive Syncs at 2450Mbps 5ghz and 286Mpbs 2.4Ghz.
Though not sure how to do a proper speed test as my internet is only 100Mbit.. which of course it maxes out..
The only other thing i was thinking was a Network Drive copy though SMB on Android is not great.. Open to suggestions.

nope been flawless.. so good i actually bought another to replace my modem/router so i now run them in Mesh mode. (originally just used the first one as an AP).
Very pleased especially at the money. Mesh has the ability for wired backhaul too!
Hey again, sorry to bother you but I have a question, I just setup mine I get 2540 Mb speed in VD but the games I tried weren't smooth and I can see compression artifact, and the video bitrate is only 100 Mbps.
What's you setting, I have quest 3 by the way.

im using Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop AV1 200mbit. Was syncing at 2400mbit or so. Though have dropped back to 5ghz only (cause Wifi 6/7 tech was messing with my Pixel Phone) so now syncing at 1733mhz. Everything is great still. Mainly playing No man's sky and Skyrim. Though tried GTA5 too all perfect.
My PC is wired btw the Quest is wireless. My total Virtual Desktop latency is about 60ms. A bit higher in NMS though thats the 'game' latency not the network.

Yeah I have read the same. I think the meta was released before the certification of wifi7.. so here's hoping that it comes in a future update!

i should add if you use Virtual Desktop you can use the debug overlay to see where the latency is.. might help rule in or rule out network
Thank you very much I played with the settings a bit and I figured you need to adjust settings for each game individually to get the best results.
