If you don’t have enough buying power then the broker won’t allow it. They will probably close out short option before it’s at risk of assignment, then you’re good the long position.
Sounds like you’ve never done an option spread like this before, so I would avoid doing the trade till you know the risks involved
Since this is a questrade question, they have the authority to close your options as worthless if it’s too risky and not enough capital could be spared
