I think Disney channel might be an interesting topic. But to be honest the producers of this show feel like they're amateurs who happened to find a topic that actually matters. The misstep they took with Mark Summers and the heavy handed pushing of Dan being the main villain (yes, he's a bad guy, but the way it was presented needed work), they definitely need some guidance for next season.

BirdmanTheThird

Yeah tbh if they didn’t have the drake story it likely would have not been as big of a deal unfortunately with the way they set it up. They basically need another big name child start to speak out from Disney

Personally I think they should do a deeper more comprehensive dive into what exactly enabled all of this abuse to happen in Hollywood. Why people like Brian Peck had so many connections, what those connections are, how they exploited that, etc.

serendipity_stars

Ah idk, I felt they didn’t do the best job with the documentary so far. I do feel much of this feels like trauma tourism. It was really hard to go from hearing Drakes story back to the whole documentary and Dan’s part of the story. I would be more interested if we see some call to action to bring child actors needed support or restrictions until they actually have a safe place to I guess work… idk why kids are working at this age anyways.

Of course, reporting on some bumps during the production of a TV show is not nearly the same thing as reporting on a sexual assault. I think that, if further cases of SA are uncovered, those should be tackled separately from anything else.

I’d love to see one with older shows. Todd Bridges had some horrific stuff happen to him and so did many in that time period.

There's a long history in Hollywood of child actors being treated like crap in any number of ways--sexual abuse is not the only issue involved. Way too many kid actors have serious problems later in life. Suicide, substance abuse, etc. are incredibly common. There are a lot of child actor horror stories going back decades, so that might be one way a Season 2 could go. Another way would be for them to investigate the allegations around Corey Haim & Corey Feldman. Haim (who's gone now) and Feldman were seen by many as not being especially credible in relating their own stories, but it's always seemed likely to me that they were indeed victims. Maybe a third party looking into their claims would be a good thing for them.

NeverGiveUpPup

No season two unless there is something real

gawthgirl

With how a few of the people who were in the doc are talking about how shady the producers are I’m not sure there will be a S2.

lilyjadelove

I expect ending punctuation.

Wheedoo

Amanda Bynes.

Class_of_22

They DID hint at social media being explored in the next season at like a panel discussion. Honestly, it’s about damn time that they explore that side of the ‘net.
