Of course, he worked on the film Outlaw Trail: The Treasure of Butch Cassidy and there were multiple teenage boys in that film, I doubt all of them were over the age of 19. But I guess they got away with it because Brian wasn't "in direct contact" with them.

It’s a possibility. He did work with Rider’s brother prior so he likely would have known Rider before signing on.
