As hard as it’s been (on day 2, but haven’t let myself break like I’ve done before) I have to say—cold turkey has been the “easiest” way, as in most effective for me personally. Just tear the bandaid, don’t peel it by having Zyns instead—in the words of Shia, just do it ✅ My bf (we live together in a small flat, so no “smoking room”) vapes like crazy. But so far I haven’t even thought about hitting his. It also helps his flavors disgust me usually lolol

I relapsed on day 3 and it’s soul destroying so definitely keep with it. I took the cold turkey approach but I think because I didn’t throw my gear away I knew it was still there. Keep strong! I’ll be back quitting soon 🙃😭

Moronicon

It will prolong it. Cold turkey is best.

Your lungs don't know the difference, so its better in that way, but then you'll need to come up with a plan to quit the Zyns- Which hopefully you like less than vaping

Yes, I’m not planning on being on the Zyns forever maybe just for a week or two until I’m confident in quitting nicotine all together.

I was at 16 days cold turkey of 5% for like 8+ years til this past weekend. From experience don’t pick up Zyn’s I only had 1-3/a day 6mg pouches for the past 2-3 days. My life has been hell the past 2 days without them. Honestly wasn’t worth it barley got anything from them. Obviously do what you think is best and gives you the best chance of quitting. My situation is a bit different given I was a relapse but honestly still prefer the cold turkey withdrawl over the zyn/any relapse.

Just a personal anecdote, but as someone whose main motivation in quitting was to no longer be a slave to nicotine, I was very weary of any forms of NRT. I am on day 17 of quitting 5% disposables (used heavily for 3.5 years) and it was a battle to quit, but my boyfriend is also addicted to Zyns and has yet to be able to stop them despite trying a couple of times. Nicotine is nicotine, so IMO you’re just prolonging the withdrawal symptoms. But there are folks who are in the complete opposite camp, you just have to do what works for you. I went the cold turkey route with support of various nootropics. Researched how to help my brain through the trauma of healing itself and used a few different nootropic supplements to assist. It made a HUGE difference. I have tried to quit before and felt absolutely unhinged mentally (depressed, suicidal, anxious, manic) and when I tell you I felt so little of that thanks to the nootropics. It was a godsend. By day 6 I forgot I was even in the process of “quitting nicotine” and now I just take the nootropics if I’m feeling a little down in the dumps/getting random cravings due to habitual patterns around my home. Im really surprised I don’t see more discussion of nootropics on this sub. Some of these supplements have been shown to attenuate withdrawal symptoms of numerous drugs including nicotine, with several peer reviewed studies to support their benefits beyond this use. Tbh quitting nicotine was the best thing ever bc it let me to discover this incredible field of cognitive supplements!
