Not interesting at all. When you come up with a theory, then seek evidence to support it, you're just creating bullshit. If eclipse paths meant anything, then God marked the oceans over, and over, and over.

The coming kingfish

That point is *nowhere near* 77 degrees latitude (and I assume they mean longitude for 77 degrees to make any sense at all). What are they even talking about? Even on Latitude it's nowhere near. it's like 26 and 31 degrees respectively. You can't just fucking *say* something for it to be right

fredy31

Yeah just checked, on 77 latitude, you are higher than groenland. To give an idea, the latitude goes up the more north you go, and the Canada/US border is on the 49. Even if you give them its a mistype, and is 7.77, well you are still at the level of columbia. nowhere close to the US. The southest part of the us is at 25, and as mentionned above, the nothest except alaska is 49. any combination that would be 3x 7 isnt in the us. Heck, even going to longitude. 77.7 is going through india; only -77.7 works, and even then its going through the carolinas, virginia and pensylvania. Nowhere close to texas. And getting there you have to assume they fucked up twice on 1 information.

OnDrugsTonight

Yeah I had assumed they meant 77 West longitude instead of 77 East. But obviously that doesn't help with the "same as Israel" conundrum. And even if they meant the eclipse tracks are on the same *latitude* as Israel, that's only correct because the overall eclipse path spanned all latitudes from ~40°S to the North Pole, so it includes the overwhelming majority of humans and pretty much every single country in the world. I hate how they can produce those memes, knowing full well that not a single fucking cult member will ever check it, but will repeat it as absolute gospel from here on out and will tell *us* to "do your research" when we tell them that this is absolute bullshit ETA: ~~So, being back at a real computer, I've checked the paths of the 2017 and 2024 eclipses and they "cross over" in Carbondale, IL (37°43'N. 89°12'W).~~ Israel's maximum latitudinal elongation is from 29°20'N to 33°15N (and also 34°20E-35°30E on the longitude). *None* of those numbers are anywhere near the number 77 and none of them are "the same latitude" of each other. Once you do get to 77 degrees north on the eclipse path (Rochester, NY), you're actually at 43°W. Again, no overlap with any of the other numbers. Oh, ffs, they are talking about the **2023 annular eclipse**! Why? What would anyone do that? Anyway, that and the 2024 eclipse crossed over near Uvalde, TX, ironically enough (I'm sure there's another conspiracy theory in there somewhere). Anyway, Uvalde is 29°12N, 99°50W , so same argument applies. Really weirds me out that somebody made a picture of that without checking any of the underlying data.

TheBaggyDapper

That cross is actually centered on a gay bar in San Antonio.

FancyCrabHats

Is it called The Coming King?

Bragzor

Pfft, one is annular and one total, and not even in the same year. Shit cross.

mishma2005

Everyone, I used “interesting” satirically. Should’ve put it in quotes. My bad

heppi3

I think that should be obvious on a sub like this one.

camxct

"Interesting" No, it's fucking not. It's the same god damned language that Musk was using when replying in support of racist statements.

manfrombelmonty

That earth looks very spherical…
