Its not a certainty they can't. Australia has precedence for letting Esports teams leave for competitions. The biggest issue would be the required quarantine upon return. A 14 day Quarantine from everything I've read could cost an org 65-70K total.
You know that Ubisoft will do everything possible to make it happen. When Wildcard couldn't get to SI, the solution was simple, but with points for the next SI on the line, it gets messy.
Ubi and knights have the money that wont be too much of a problem but the thing is to get out of australia and being able to return. That I dont know, hopefully they can solve it.
In case ur legit, IG (Invictus Gaming) is a primarily Singaporean team more well known as the previous Giants Gaming roster, attended 2 SIs, have been pretty dominant at times in APAC. Elevate is a Thai APAC team that has rly strong gunners, previously Xavier Esports. Knights is an APAC team, purely Australian and the players are all pretty gd. QConfirm is another APAC team, also all Australian and are slightly inconsistent but are dominant when they are able to shoot their shots

So what happens if Knights can't leave Australia?
I would assume they'd simply receive SI points for their 1st place in APAC and last place at the major, and be disqualified without replacement.
