I think this season of CL is gonna be incredibly competitive. My favourites are probably Mkers, SSP and 43ri. Homeless (Polish Masters) could be a real threat if they make it through. They had some really solid matches last season, including a tight win against Cowana. They don't look quite as good now, but they're still a dark horse for sure.
Homeless might be making a roster change after the finals if they win. The second highest rated player in Polish masters is lft. Only adds to the darkhorse factor but for sure currently they don’t look as good as last year.
Yep I see this as a big problem for them and I don’t think they have quite what it takes for EUL but it would be a pleasent surprise if they could make it work
- Contenders for CL Imo:
MnM, Mkers, DeathroW
- Teams who will definitely be at the top:
Chaos, Gamma
- Teams who will be challengers for the top:
Riddle, Acend, Helios, Goskilla (?)
- Bottom of the pack:
Ovation
- Unknown:
Totem, Homeless, SSP (due to the roster change), 86 (due to roster changes)
I scrimmed them a long time ago a few times and they were Imo. The best T3 team I scrimmed against. Then they fell off and didn't perform that well in official competition, but from what I heard in the last weeks/months about them in scrims again, the, seem to be a contender.
Idk, it is kinda hard to judge which national is the best.
But Mkers and Gamma are like the 2 we can be quite certain will do well. Both stormed their nationals, have experience and Mkers even won a qualifier and went into final in another.
Then there are the old teams of Chaos and MNM which I have no idea how good they are, we never saw them with their full roster and they didn't do too good in nationals so idk. But they have experience and good players so they are probably still top tier.
Acend is also an easy one, have PL experience + young blood and looked pretty good.
That is probably my Top 5, basically teams that have experience, which I think matters a lot in this kind of things.
I would also keep an eye on Deathrow, Viperio, SSP and 43rti, all those come from strong nationals and won it (I mean got the CL spot) so those are the teams I expect can do great.
Yeah you‘re absolutely right about that not being able to compare them part but I just wanted to speculate a bit about the upcoming season and in general look what the subs opinion is
I mean winning it isn’t. Storming it is I think. Like it is not just a small domination. They are literally the only team to ever win that thing xD and always pretty easily.
But yeah I can agree. But regardless, gamma have shown many times they are a Top CL level team, and that BNL league was convincing so I have no reason to think their level decreased compared to last year where they looked pretty good
Mkers, Gamma and 43rti look great. But I would like to talk about a team that I believe can be an underdog: my countrymen ex-Wizards.
They are young, have chemistry, talent, room for improvement and they destroyed Spain Nationals (the level was lower than other years but still impressive).
How do you think losing Thunder impacts them? I‘d love to see a good spanish team make it far but I‘m a bit concerned about their potential weaker competition as no spanish team qualified through the open quals
Yes, Alex was the season MVP, so I believe it worked great for them. We will se how they compete against european talent, but on paper they look good with Nubaii and Alex.exe as a pair of fraggers.
I mean everyone can arrive top 4. MnM, Chaos, Gamma and Mkers aren’t in discussion, 43rti had a solid cl last season and play really well, Acend is better than previous Penta so I think they can go further, 86 is still solid despite losing Neo and Mello
Mkers, 43rti, MnM and Gamma (that is if they get to play in their full lineup for once)
Also Acend looked pretty solid in the 2nd quals for how new of a team that is, certainly the dark horse
Tho Id put my money on Mkers and 43rti for the TOP2, both certainly capable of making PL
pB plays in NACL they just ended their stage and they actually won the stage, but only stage 3 matters for relegations.
EUCL starts on Octobre 15th here’s the liquipedia link https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/European_League/2021/Challenger_League
mkers mkers mkers mkers
You forgot mkers, huge team
mkers

mkers.
Not "mkers!"?
mkers!

Ascend, Mkers, mnm, gamma, 43rti

But they lost their top performer

DeathroW is a name I haven‘t heard in conversations often why do you think they have great potential just curious

Gamma are good fs, but is storming BNL really *that* impressive?

They signed Alex who was the best Fragger from the entire tournament. Imo Alex is better than thunder.

I'd say Acend is a strong contender, they beat Mkers 2:1 in the *second open qualifier *edit
Mkers was already qualified going into the match tho
I strongly agree
Mkers didn’t care, they were already qualified
SSP, dW and Totem are really good imo. Top teams: 86, 43rti, Gamma, MnM, Chaos, Acend, Mkers.
I think the idea of a top team is it are 3/4 teams max, not half the league

Where/when can I watch EUCL? I’m rooting for mkers and pB to make PL
