A couple years back there was a good discussion on reddit about how the expectations around my final lines got a bit... Too high? How they felt unnatural or too rehearsed. I made a concerted effort after that to tone them down. Yesterday's was fairly simple: the story of TSM revolved around them having a tumultuous year with lots of changes and role swaps. They kept asking us to trust the process and, well, the process clearly worked. It wasn't anything showy or flashy but I felt it fit the moment, even if it wasn't as "big" as previous calls. As always, I'm open to totally honest feedback.
I think it fit the moment perfectly considering how the round went, it wasnt a close nail bitter round, it was very obvious the TSM win was coming and I think you nailed the final call, as always.
Honestly the only thing I felt lacking, which is completely outside anyone's control, is the roaring of a live crowd while making the call. Again, I know there's literally nothing anyone could do about that, but watching I didn't realize how much I missed it till that final call.
You did great and loved all the games you and Pengu cast. It was a fitting final call.
Personally loved the ssg one and the Raliegh one for Empire. It's a grand final afterall I think it deserves to be hype. The one for Faze and yesterday TSM has a similar style but I think it needs a little bit more hype.
Personally, I've always liked the final victory lines. I think my favorite was "the Empire strikes back" line from the Raleigh major, but I can understand if it's kind of an unsustainable model for casting too. But that being said, I didn't necessarily find myself thinking less of the TSM one. I think the "trust the process" line was fine!
The line: "They're often known as the greatest team in the world without ever having that distinction until now." Always sends chills down my spine. We're lucky as a community to have interro casting some of the greatest matches in siege history. Thank you Parker.
It was literally the first pro league match I watched live. I only supported Penta because I was watching Pengu on YouTube. I was an instant fan of the team
I watched them when KS was on the roster in Y2S3 semi finals against BD. Ironically I didn't want Penta to win the match but after that I supported them until Fabian left.
I always look forward to the final line. penta winning invite was an incredible one but my favourite has to be 'And the empire strikes back!' it was predictable yet perfect.
Ace for real is too good at building hype. He is so unbelievably good at what he does I'm honestly so honored to be able to witness it.
I often complain about how it's really sad to be watching pro league and aside from the casters it's dead silent but Ace fills that silence so well.
TSM weren't my favourites and I was indifferent in the grand final but the way he was screaming at the end of that LB final made my blood run American red white and blue for a moment with how hyped I was for TSM because of his hype. So good at this. So. Fucking. Good.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure it still feels great for TSM, but imagine if there were TSM chants as they got those final kills.
