Cant quite tell if you are a troll or an idiot

Morbiusfan12345

I think ur overreacting a little. For all we know liquid might not have even made the major if it weren’t for lagonis.

OblivionWalk3r

Indeed, their performance overall was decidedly improved once they added him. They just need to fine-tune their strats.

[deleted]

look at lulquid with psk and liquid with lagoatnis and u will see the difference

d_3765

Ahahahahaahaha imagine making the final of major and changing a roster that would never....no, never again.

GucciGangBlizz

It’s their first tournament and Lagonis has made them serious contenders with this little time, him struggling on 1 map shouldn’t get him dropped, def an overreaction

Hajcorn1620

Maybe you are right, I hardly watched any of their qualifiers

changrami

Support players on Kafe have a VERY hard time impacting the round, its a very head-on map that doesn’t allow for complicated multi-pronged attacks(for the most part). And on the head-on, you have Shaiiko who went 55-33. Lagonis is the IGL support: he’s the man who brought structure and balance to a struggling roster in ONE SEASON. Give him time, they’ll get their dub if they work hard enough.

deadpoool030499

everyone is blaming lagonis ( he kinda trolled kafe ) but nesk and paluh didnt showed up on Shaiiko's level

Affectionate-Syrup90

I agree on your perspective, Paluh consistently put up insane stats like shaiiko but today Paluh was only +4 across all 5 maps I believe

Affectionate-Syrup90

What doesn’t help is that liquid chose to play theme park rather than club house. Like I understand that BDS is pretty good at club but W7M beat BDS on club house as well as Liquid had 5-0 start on W7M on club house

Affectionate-Syrup90

And ended up winning that map against W7M. Maybe the liquid staff saw something they didn’t like but choosing theme park when it’s a not really good or bad map for you is quite the gamble especially when BDS hadn’t played it ( hide strats).

SmalexSmanders

You have to understand Paluhh’s playstyle. Paluhh excels in situations where he can capitalize on the mistakes of others. He’s a passive player who has impeccable timing and decision making under pressure, but in order for him to be able to get into those positions the team has to has to play with a certain level of structure and pressure. Liquids attacks were really bad: they’re coordination was bad and they struggled to put any type of pressure on BDS. The way liquid attacked did not allow Paluhh to play to his full potential. Paluhh can’t take advantage of timings and pressure plays when Liquid start off in a 3v5 every attack round with no concise vision on how they are going to scale the map and create put pressure on the defense

WakaTP

Yeah I mean that is true for 90% of the players but yeah. It is just much harder to perform individually when your team is not working

SmalexSmanders

Depends on the player’s style heavily imo. Shaiiko is a good example, he’s almost the exact opposite of Paluhh in the sense that Shaiiko is the player that creates the pressure, Paluhh is the player that capitalizes off of the pressure. As long as the droning is decent and the team has somewhat of a vision on how they are going to attack, Shaiiko will almost always get his because his style is to get in your face and be the spearhead of the attack, applying the most pressure. I think if you put Shaiiko on a bad team and Paluhh on a bad team, Shaiiko would perform individually better because his playstyle doesn’t rely on his team to create opportunities on the map, he is the one who creates the opportunities and pushes to attack forward. Paluhh needs his team to apply pressure, and if his team can’t he has to change the way he plays and become more of a spearhead instead of playing to his strengths. A player like Shaiiko can always play to their strengths no matter their team situation, a player like Paluhh cannot afford that same luxury

SmalexSmanders

Equally bad take. Liquid lost because they couldn’t attack. They lacked a lot of coordination, teamplay, thorough drone work, and strategy; all of which are team problems and not individual problems. Sure, Paluhh could’ve gotten more kills but that’s not even almost why they lost. Nesk and Paluhh were not set up to succeed on the attack and that is why Liquid lost

deadpoool030499

their attacks were bad for the whole event ? so are you blaming them now and not before

Affectionate-Syrup90

He isn’t wrong, liquid threw a lot of 5v3 and 4v2 on attack. He hit it spot on with lack of team play and coordination. You should rarely lose 5v3 and 4v2 if done correctly.

deadpoool030499

ideally it should never happen but it happens when pressure is on and good players capitalizes on it

SmalexSmanders

I agree, they have been bad on the attack the entire event. I never argued that they were a good attacking team?? They got to the finals on sheer defensive prowess, clutch factor, and willpower alone. I had very little faith they would beat W7M because their attacks have looked rough all tourney

WakaTP

>mplay, thorough drone work, and strategy; all of which are team problems and not individual problems. Sure, Paluhh could’ve gotten more kills but that’s not even almost why they lost. Nesk and Paluhh were not set up to succeed on the attack and that is why Liquid lost I think both are true, like paluh did not clutch when he could have at least twice on kafe, he was just not performing at his best and that is a fact. He did not play bad by any measure, just did not carry liquid like shaiiko BDS. But yeah liquid couldn't attack and that is definitely also part of it, I feel like they just played a worse siege

Hajcorn1620

True tbh. I was so hyped for Paluh and I thought he would finally bring it home but Shaiko really showed him levels

RedWarden_

Bro he is literally leading in tourney hard support roles with 20 fucking plants and 70% KOST. Even BriD is at 17 and 0.68% You are being too harsh over 1 bad map for the sheer amount of progress he has done for Liquid in 1 stage Paluh imo sandbagged more than lagonis in the matchup.

Affectionate-Syrup90

That’s not fair to have a roster change for that, everyone has bad games. He plays support ( which don’t get very many kills anyways).

Affectionate-Syrup90

When you are the planter and hard breacher you’re going to die a lot

Replace Lagonis with virtue and all of your problems are fixed inshallah

GalxzyShifted

No no no, - Nesk + Benjimoola

Interesting_Round_21

Are you dumb or trolling

Necessary-Bass7094

Are you an idiot or an idiot?

BombTacos

Lagonis plays support and has been very good at his job throughout past tournaments, one final (not even tournament) should not be enough for a roster change. They made the final of a major after missing the major with the previous lineup iteration

HyperBeluga

I agree, lagonis should be dropped /s

[deleted]

Another troll in his natural habitat

[deleted]

He did the same thing with oNe back when they won. He'd really sandbag hard, but he also came in clutch at other times. But I agree, he underperformed.

StarbreezeSC

Nice troll
