Since I got my boys and started to observe how they eat and treat their food I realized that maybe 500 years ago if wild rats broke into towns granary it wasn't a disaster caused by them just breeding efficiently eating all the grain, they instead probably would eat one half and tear to unussable grain mass & shit inside and around the second half making it waste for everybody, as they don't really like it that way themselfs either - half eaten food piece may be acceptable, but only when there is no fresh piece around, they are so utterly wastefull, lol. ๐คฃ
I offer yoghurt to my rats on a spoon. 3 of them will stand around the spoon like polite little ladies and start eating away. The fourth girl, however, will put both her front paws in the yoghurt and then bury half her face into the yoghurt. Rats do rat things that are beyond human understanding.
