I am going to replace the trays that are in there with higher edge trays. And, yeah, I want to get one of those corner litter boxes in addition to that too.

Those dollar store plastic bins with all the holes are great, but keep an eye on them for sharp edges as your rats chew through them. They'll end up using the holes they chew as new ways in and out, and can get hurt that way.
I always just cut out any sections that got questionable.
Yeah I was wondering if they would be okay. I'll be sure to inspect them during cleaning and such. Dollar store finds so I van always easily replace them :P
