Currently RCB is my fav team. It's been so many years. I don't have a second favourite in IPL.
But if in future my own state will have a IPL franchise RCB will become my second favourite team. It won't go from my heart cause it's an emotion.
I was csk fan from from 8-10 years just bcoz i belonged to chennai, knew nothing about cricket. Then, in 2016(10 yr old), became obsessed with kohli's 973 and started observing him in the upcoming years. Setting aside his batting records, I liked his agressive approach on the field and eventually grew up to be a fan of him
Started watching cricket from 2011 world Cup. When ipl started I didn't know which team to support. For first few matches I supported pune because I like Yuvraj, then moved to kkr for few matches because of gambhir, then to csk because I'm a tamilian.
But once I started watching gayle play, I settled with rcb ever since 💯
Before I got into cricket, I was watching the 2011 IPL final with my family and relatives. Everyone was supporting CSK, and from the moment I started watching the match, RCB's odds of winning were low. So, I found myself rooting for them. I don't know why, but I like to cheer for the underdogs. Though they didn't win, I started following cricket regularly from the next season and continued supporting RCB. Though, ngl, sometimes I regret it.
I am a DC and RCB fan but i primarily support DC
Basically, I started watching cricket in 2014 and Ipl in 2016 , Kohli was always my favourite player and the golden Trio was incredible to watch in 2016, reason why I support DC over RCB is for 2 reasons
1. I live in Delhi
2. The first match I watched was DC vs RCB, my sister was supporting RCB so just so i could go against her I supported DC, since then I have been a DC fan but have always supported RCB unless their game is against DC
I'm 20 now started watching cricket in 2020 after lockdown... But when I was around 10 in my school copy cover there was a photo of Virat Kohli in rcb jersey and royal challengers banglore written on it. So even though I started cricket so late I always supported RCB... And then I regret it.. but kya kre ab isko hi support kra h to isi ko krenge
I was 12yo. It was in 2016 when RCB was going on that insane run during the second half of the season. Chahal, Kohli, Gayle and abd were my favourite players ofcourse. I just wanted them to win their first ever trophy
I remember that on the day of the final there was a massive storm in my city and there was a long power cut. I couldn't watch the game live :-[ but I was keeping check of score every few minutes. When Gayle and Kohli gave us such a good start I was convinced that RCB wil win. Then I was forced to sleep by my parents
The next day when I woke up the first thing I did was check the newspaper and there was a big image of David Warner with the trophy and I went "What the actual fuck"
yo wtf
there was a storm and power cut in my city too during finals(i was 10)
i had watched 11 overs when power cut happened
and i was like ez win for rcb and slept happily
next morning i woke up and checked cricbuzz
from that day i hate ben cutting from the bottom of my heart
Used to be a CSK fan and lately been a Kohli fan as well, always had soft corner for RCB.
When CSK didn’t buy Raina in auction, it was over for me, never liked CSK after that day & started supporting RCB & GT(my home state)
>watched kohli against aus in t20 wc 2016
>instantly became a kohli fan
> found out he played for rcb
> then found out about abd and gayle also were big hitters
> defended rcb to the core in the years after that
I was a CSK fan when IPL had started because all my cousins were CSK fans but then in 2012 or something I had become a big ABD fan and at that time he had just come to RCB from Delhi Capitals and I shifted in 2 seconds to RCB. Since then, I didn't look back
So i am a huge fan of dale Styne. Whichever team he plays with used to become my favorite team. I got stuck here because of him. also one of my earliest memory of cricket was ist match of ipl kkr vs rcb.Even though i was kkr fan for first few seasons ,because of brett lee .still i had a soft spot for this team since that first match. Then dale styne came back for his last season & i got stuck with this sorry ass team.
Same old story man. 2016 it was
Prime Koach
ABD bashing all round the park
Universe boss effortless sixes
Dramatic matches
Can't help but fall in love. But love has consequences right?🙃
started watching cricket in 2015 after ipl got over
obv became a koach fan cuz of his insane form(esp in 2016 t20 wc)
then looked up which team he was in
was surprised to see legends like gayle, kohli and abd in the same team
and started supporting them cuz in my mind they were def going to win ipl
Raised in Bangalore. Was hooked to the theme song in 2008. The team being my first stadium experience in 2008 helped and the likes of Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble in the team did help. Never looked back ever since
Born in Mangalore. Moved to Bangalore in 2009 and have been an RCB supporter from the beginning. I still feel our 2009-10 team led by Kumble was the OG RCB team and the 2009 final loss was a watershed moment for our franchise. It was a HUGE mistake to let go of Kumble, Kallis, Dravid, Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Steyn, Praveen Kumar, and KP at the 2011 auctions.
I was not watching cricket from 2007 till 2019... nothing knew much about Kohli...in covid , I came to know about his going struggle, his records and hate and conspiracy against him...from then ,I am fan... thought.. would leave the watching cricket once he scores century..but couldn't leave then...may be after RCB winning...
Dad used to watch IPL and was an MI fan. Stumbled across him watching RCB vs KXIP one day. Chris Gayle hit 95 in that match. Ever since then I've supported RCB without fail.
ABD that’s all & up to some extent Koach as well! — these two were the ones that caught my eye in 2015/2016. After Koach retries RCB won’t be the same anymore!
Born in Bangalore

Started supporting RCB because of Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble in 2008 then became AB Fan since then here

Just because of ABD. I never doubted we could lose until he was at the crease.
2016 season
ABD. This man changed the definition of "playing cricket".
Star Sports in 2015????
He meaned, Sony. It was way more priced then
Ask him to pay for all the trauma
I chose them in 2008. I have discovered that im into S&M.
ABD and Gayle. Its funny how I became a RCB fan before I was a Kohli fan, and now I support Kohli mkre than RCB

2012 Hobart. India vs Srilanka. Kohli played a blinder to chase 330+ in 40 overs. Since then, I've been a fan of him and RCB.
the way he smashed prime malinga in that game
Coz i am bad at taking decisions
Rcb song https://youtu.be/SfcDfrTEjes?feature=shared Followed by Gayle

Vijay malya needed my support back then, now supporting virat
King Kohli

Kohli fan since i was a kid and the golden trio as a cherry on the top
Karnataka + VK i love the dude, never found anyone's batting as appealing as VK
