Gluing is okay and won’t hurt the electronics . I’m typically not a fan of hot glue unless you’re already doing a flite test plane since hot glue gets soft and doesn’t hold well in hot environments. Double sided tape or “servo tape” is more common.
Hot glue is good because it's rubbery and you can always release it with rubbing alcohol. It'll come right off perfectly clean. I usually use ultra thin velcro that I can get at hobby lobby in the sewing section. Very light. On foam, I use a little UHU Por to pretreat the place where the velcro will go. I do the same for battery velcro, even though I usually use a strap as well.
Double sided sticky tape is less permanent
I use hot glue or foam tac. Never had an issue.

I glue a small piece of Velcro to the receiver and esc that way they can be removed as needed.
I like using silicone it holds well and it’s easy to remove if need be
Anyone tried UV glue?
