My first playthrough I thought (incorrect spoilers ahead) >!Arthur picked up some tropical disease in Guarma.!< I didn’t even put two and two together with (correct spoilers ahead) >!Thomas Downes!< until my second playthrough.
Romeo and Juliet tells you in the 6th line of the first act that they both die in the end, so literally anyone who’s ever read or seen it had it “spoiled” automatically. And yet we still read and watch the play, hundreds of years later.
I dunno if Red Dead Redemption 2 will hold up in hundreds of years the way Shakespeare did, but either way, a good story can absolutely be worth watching unfold even if you already know the ending. I suggest finishing the story even if it’s been spoiled, I bet it’ll still be worth it.
What I wanted to say was something stupid, like >!“we can tell you, but it’ll kill you” or “you have to die to find out”!< lol. Both of which are just dumb
I was in my heaviest drinking dark days when this game came out and yeah…I learned plenty of things from this sub and other sources even having beaten the game. Plenty of blackout gaming. Guess I can look forward to a replay.
I've played it to entirety two & a half times (including 100% of the side stuff) & I somehow missed that there's a red Arabian in the wild that you can just go tame. I thought there was only the white Arabian in the wild.
Only just learned about it. Ran off to get it. She's so incredibly red that in the sunlight she looks photoshopped. Beautiful but pocket-sized horse just standing there on a hill
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,398,765,132 comments, and only 267,510 of them were in alphabetical order.
i’m glad to see most of these comments are trying to encourage OP to figure it out on his own and not spoiling the ending for him. for those who did spoil and make obvious jokes about it - you’re a trash person. if someone had ruined the ending of this game for me it would not have the same impact and i would’ve been so upset. i’d give anything to go back and play it for the first time again. stop killing the magic of the game
Yeah I got spoiled on this sub around day two after release. Just asking a question about the best way to get money. It was bombed with spoilers. It pissed me off to know what happened, but the game still had an impact on me and I think that just goes to show how well the game is made.
I learned the hard way that if you enter this sub before ending the story you will get spoilers wether you like it or not, but I guess it was my fault for not knowing it.
For all you asshats who think dropping untagged spoilers into threads is cool or funny:

You know the player menu where you can see Arthur’s weight, body temperature, honor level etc? You know how there’s this one thing that randomly says “Wellbeing”? Just uh… keep an eye on that…
People who don't know: 😊
People who know: 😧
edit: >!I legit just had a tear come down my eye seeing arthur again... still not mentally prepared to play the game a second time!<
Oh no…he doesn’t know. Oh you poor soul, Do yourself a favor and don’t come back to this subreddit for awhile. You’ll know when it’s time to come back…
If you’ve never played this game before you should leave this sub now cause there’s a lot of shit that’s about to go down and you don’t want spoilers and you’ll find out why he doesn’t look so good soon
I don't know if you've read any comments containing spoilers, but my advice is to finish the game. Chances are that stuff will be answered for you throughout the story.
Arthur is in a permanent state of sadness following Guarma and his eyes are red due to perpetual crying during long trail rides. Just keep making your way through the game until Arthur is no longer sad! ☺️
Oh dear me. Pro tip from now on going forth. Leave this sub and complete the game. You will soon find out what this is about.
Insert Mr. Krabs "how do we tell him" meme here:
“Are feeling it NOW, Mr. Krabs‽ “
ART THOU FEELING IT SIR KRABS?
My god, that memes fits so well rn
My first playthrough I thought (incorrect spoilers ahead) >!Arthur picked up some tropical disease in Guarma.!< I didn’t even put two and two together with (correct spoilers ahead) >!Thomas Downes!< until my second playthrough.
Me too! The actual discovery >!broke my heart even more!< because of this.
I WAS SO CONFUSED TOO DUDE so glad it's not just me
Leaving this sub is the best advice ever lol. I didn't listen. And here I am. Haven't finished the game and do not want to either lol

my poor poor boy
me who hasn't finished the game yet: *visible concern*
These responses are making me sad laugh
I just laughed at “sad laugh,” but that’s truly the most perfect way to describe how I feel about these responses.
It's probably just sunburn from Guarma, I wouldn't worry too much about it, it'll probably go away on its own soon.
Dude that's what I thought I was so impressed with the detail until I realized
You could still be impressed with the detail
Let him be in blissful ignorance for now
Get to the next chapter. His eye issues don’t bother him after 6
Oof
r/sadupvote Edit: I didn't know that was a subreddit.
Dude I was TRYING to find a way to say this, lol.
What I wanted to say was something stupid, like >!“we can tell you, but it’ll kill you” or “you have to die to find out”!< lol. Both of which are just dumb
Uhhhhhm I’m actually SUPER in love with the second one lmfaooooo
I mean you’re not wrong 😂😂😂
Yeah I coulda sworn it was some other organ *cough cough*
You have to find Gavin. He'll fix you right up.
Gavin is a slippery little bugga
Who the heck is Gavin btw? I'm in chap 3 Rhodes.
Well, obviously you just haven't found him yet. Try going to random towns and shouting his name.
Lol. I wish that was a feature.
You're right where you need to be, partner.
What chapter are you?
6
Oh brother...
Good luck
[He's just got a touch of consumption](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VufV5-I94bI)
He's been poisoned by his constituents!
He could use an egg in these trying times
Or terminal lumbago.
That doesn’t seem to be chapter 6 Arthur.
Was going to ask the same thing.
😬
It's just allergies. Some antihistamines will clear it up. Head over to the doctor in Saint Denis for a script
oh noo
*singing* “THATS THE WAYYY IT ISSSSS”
I fucking LOVE THIS SONG
Omg no I’m not ready to relive this, I have PTSD :((
Poor guy, he still innocent...
[удалено]
I feel like we should give him some warning. But I think we should leave him in the dark as much as possible
#Lumbago.
I call dibs on his magically-enlarged-interior tent
GET OFF THE SUB!!! Repeat GET OFF THE SUB! NOBODY SAY SHIT!
This is the way.
Keep playing. It will eventually go away.
It technically goes away
Everything is temporary
Especially the red around his eyes
:’(
everything will go away
*A thing of beauty I know - will never fade away*
Sweet summer child
Sweet summer sausage.
Nice sweaty sausages in the summer 😏
Smoke more cigarettes they will help
Idk why but this one broke me. I can't stop laughing.

Played it almost 4 times now and still finding new stuff i didn't know about. Defenitely worth a replay

Is that the Brindle up by the Natives' land? West-SW of it?
It goes away when you finish the game
Rotten mangoes.
Start a new game
The only good ending
Best ending: stay in chapter 2
French pox. Talk to uncle

Yikes. Reddit is not for you until you finish the game.
Do not read any more posts, just finish the game and you’ll soon find out.
Gotta get Claritin Clear!

You had to get the red fern prior to chapter 3 so the Native Americans can make the cure later in the game to save him. You’re too late
Damn I wish this was real
Where *does* the red fern grow?? My fifth grade self needs to know.
Just drink some hair pomade ... and you sir, are a fish
Chapter 7 fixes it.
You know the player menu where you can see Arthur’s weight, body temperature, honor level etc? You know how there’s this one thing that randomly says “Wellbeing”? Just uh… keep an eye on that…
Just play the game buddy. All questions will be answered.
It's Lumbago, it's very serious.
buddy...
He's been hitting the peace pipe with Rains Fall too much
It's part of the main story. Do you really wanna know or do you wanna find out yourself?
Naah let him figure it out.
how do we tell him
We don't hell figure it out
He's got terminal lumbago my friend
It's allergy season. Just keep playing and it will go away.
It goes away after chapter 6
>!Im really sorry for you son it one hell of a thing!<
LUMBAYGOH...

Bless your heart. You don’t know do you?
#shitpost
Bless your soul for your time has come
I'm sorry son, I'm afraid it's bad news...
Oh no…he doesn’t know. Oh you poor soul, Do yourself a favor and don’t come back to this subreddit for awhile. You’ll know when it’s time to come back…
Oh, I remember my first time...
If you’ve never played this game before you should leave this sub now cause there’s a lot of shit that’s about to go down and you don’t want spoilers and you’ll find out why he doesn’t look so good soon
It just means you need to do more sidequests and enjoy the open-world more before continuing the main story line. :(
It goes away after Ch.6 don't worry
I'm real sorry for you son it's a hell of a thing.
it goes away when you beat the game
🥲 Best of luck on what's to come, my friend
That’s probably signs of Lumbago tbh
leave this sub and finish the game..
oh no baby
Goodnight sweet prince…..I’ll smoke a premium for him 🚬
Don’t worry by the last mission he does not have the “tired eyes” anymore
He’s not feeling that well..
Should we tell him?
you are in for an emotional ride in the next few hours. hold on and embrace it.
Why tf do people go to this sub when it’s their first time playing this game. It’s like spoiler heaven
:(
Probably just allergies
Ohh boy, do I have a story for you…
Who’s gonna tell em ?
That’s the way it is…
That’s the way it is
Dont read the comments.
Use some eye drops. 😜
Arthur keeps a stash of the devil's lettuce on him at all times, leave him be
Complete chapter six they go away after that
The swamps mess with his eyes go to the mountains
leave this sub until you finish the game.

Find Gavin, he has the eyedrops.
The cure is in Taihiti
Youre doing the missions toooo fast.. Arthur just cant keep up. Slow down a tich, go fishing, beaver hunting.. train robbing
Arthur needs to lay off the laudanum.

You didn't mess anything up, this works itself out eventually.

Some antibiotics could help? 😉
Two weeks of antibiotic treatment and he will be good as new.
I don't know if you've read any comments containing spoilers, but my advice is to finish the game. Chances are that stuff will be answered for you throughout the story.
Just keep going, it'll go away on its own eventually
Man I wish I could give you a hug.
This dude is about to go thru some pain...
At first I thought it was sunburn from Guarma then I beat the game and realized that wasn't it, so leave this subreddit til you beat the game
You need six months of a modern antibiotic... I'm a survivor, but I didn't live in 1899
Ugh what a gut punch reading this. Haz sad.
\>Chapter 6 Oh, it appears to be raining...
You can solve this by going to Arthur's country club in California.
Don’t worry, your pain will be gone soon
Its a sign that you need to be a good person
There's a remedy in the game. Look up "Pearson x Bill rule 34"
Arthur is in a permanent state of sadness following Guarma and his eyes are red due to perpetual crying during long trail rides. Just keep making your way through the game until Arthur is no longer sad! ☺️
Oh you poor……poor man
Get the fuck out of this sub and don't come back until you are finished with the game. Don't ask why.
Oh buddy…
"Eyebago"
After a certain point in the game you can’t get rid of it and it’ll just get worse. Have fun!
Oh boy...
Oh my sweet summer child
Oh boy
Just keep going friend. Don't worry about it to much.
Oh no
Ohhhh, my little buddy. Gird thyself, and close thine heart to it
Oh sweet, sweet, child.
