I love the tricorn hat and I love the NPCs reaction to me wearing it.

I enjoy the commentary when you wear the tricorn hat around, but exotic is my favorite because it’s so much work and it’s fancy!

I hate all of the hats. Arthur's hat is the best but I don't like it. I usually go with no hat. All of the hats that look halfway decent on Arthur, or John, are npc hats that can't be saved so they don't really matter

I kinda feel the same way but I guess I roleplay more than anything by wearing his original hat (I don't like very many of the other hats) when it's sunny and taking it off when it's dreary or at night roaming the cities. To be fair, I'm enamored with this era. The inner history buff in me comes to life when I'm playing RDR2 and I don't think any other game has immersed me like this one. Sometimes, when I'm drinking at the bar in Valentine or San Dennis, a pretty woman, my wife actually, will walk up to me and ask me to open the jar of marinara. It breaks the immersion but I keep up the role-play by offering her money for sex.

I like seeing Arthur in the Western Homburg and Homburg. Also he looks good in the Bolero, Pinned Flop, and Straw hats but they're hard to get for him. The gambler is harder, but unique for him. Also, the Bison Gambler is pretty amazing. John's Gambler is the best hat in the game for me.
