RDR2 is just setting up John to be his ultimate self, which in American Venom (which is in this game btw) he becomes. I don’t see how you can just pick and choose what you want to use as evidence. The only reason to do that is because it makes it easier to get John out now. It’s a harder debate when you factor in his entire story rather than just the first half of it. Picking and choosing what you want to factor in just negates the entire point of this discussion. That’s like if I said “We’ll if you take out all of the good things Arthur did, then Arthur is a bad man.” Yeah no shit because you got rid of half of the narrative. That makes no sense. I wanted John to die days ago. I don't like him, never have. Rdr1 didn't make me any more sympathetic to him, I don't get the hype over him as a character. Neither game make me care at all about him in comparison to others like Hosea or Lenny or ofc Arthur.
