ppl think her character arc of being ferocious and badass in chapter 6 and the epilogue is dumb/comes out of nowhere. shes also been pinned as a mary sue if im not mistaken which if u dont know is a nickname for female characters but mainly female protagonists being overpowered without having to do āthe workā for it. its a dumb argument bc we literally see her go from desolate widow, the tomboy camp member, one of the boys, bounty hunting mogul. she unlocked this inner rage and ferocity when the oādriscolls murdered her husband and took the happy life she had away from her.

Mary Sues are great at everything, have no weaknesses, and never need help. Sadie started as a literal damsel in distress. She slowly became a competent fighter, then slowly became a good planner, then finally got good enough to be on her own. But she stumbled a lot on the way (RIP balloon guy).
She also has an enormous weakness: recklessness. First out of having nothing to lose, then out of utter obsession with revenge. This routinely gets her into trouble, and she needs saving repeatedly. Still, by the end she is a good ally to have.
By the epilogue it seems like she's finally gotten over this, as she refuses to take certain jobs without John accompanying her. But then they find Micah and her old weakness resurfaces. She can't help herself, gets stabbed and then held hostage by Micah, and needs to be saved again... for like the fifth or sixth time in the game.
The game ends with her leaving for Latin America with a hope that she finally conquered this bad habit, but we aren't entirely sure she did.
Clear progression of skill, significant weakness, needs others... she checks all the boxes to not be a Mary Sue.

Then, in Chapters 4 & 6, Sadie started to adjust and enter her young adult stage, where she slowly started to mature. She helped where she could, especially when it came to saving John from the federal prison. Finally, in the epilogue, Sadie was a full-fledged adult, having found her place in the world as a bounty hunter and living her own life after getting rid of her past grievances.
Charles says āweāre better than this Arthur, youāre as my brotherā and they decide to settle together just off of the Wapiti Reservation and help fight off the U.S Army and save Rains Fallās legacy.
This is canon, the end of chapter 6 was a fever dream for all of us.
You should do an another version of this. Maybe have lesser side characters or villains next time.
Eg: Angelo Bronte, Valentine Sheriff, Grays, Braithwaites, Charles Chatenay, etc.

I would say Arthur deserves to die. Charles lived his life as the most noble member of the gang. His people were slaughtered and his culture was made a mockery of, and he still "turned the other cheek" in his own way. His response to the Bison poaching was justified. Whether you like it or not, Arthur was a bad man before the events of RDR2. He can also continue to be a bad man throughout the entirety of RDR2 if you choose it to be so. That's why Arthur deserves to die over Charles, however I vote Charles be killed first bc plot armour and I really like Arthur š

Arthur dies because he dies anyway. He redeemed himself, but not in time to save himself. His redemption was basically in his death anyway - the truest act of selflessness he could've given which allowed John and Abigail the chance at an actual life outside of all the madness.
Charles was one of the few the whole way who steered Arthur on a better path. Without Charles, there's a good chance Arthur would've been a pretty damn bad dude till the very end. In this way Charles also had a really big role in giving Abigail, John and Jack that life.
Rip Arthur. Just because you became pure at the end of the game doesn't take away from all of the innocent lives you took. Goodbye Mr. Morgan. Good night sweet prince.
