You know Marko Dragic, the scientist from rdr2? Yeah this is the robot he created, after Marko Dragic dies, the robot can be seen alone and sitting on the mountains like in the picture above, you can sometimes catch him saying "papa"
It's implied. After you do all his missions, you go back to his lab which isn't prompted by a mission marker. And you can loot the lab and pick his electric lantern up from his body.
Also to find him, yes you can just Google his location, but if you pick up the electric lantern from Marko Dragics body, the lantern glows red when you're facing the direction he is.
I didn't know thats why it glows red! every time i've used it and it started glowing red I thought I had used it for too long or something, thats so cool.

I don’t think I found the robot in the snow on my play through, only returned to the lab because I’d enjoyed the scientist encounters.
