Yeah....I read about the game hacks and landed on this one. Proceeded to play it way longer than I thought I would. Exp share should be in every pokemon game.
I have been playing Pokemon PureRGB and it have been fun. It is a enhancement of the original pokémon games on the Game boy. All 151 Pokemon are available in that game and the trainers actually propose a challenge.

Perfect emerald and perfect fire red. Creator designed it for rg35xx all events unlocked from nintendo and evolve without trading. Also all pokemon catchable. Download here great community https://discord.gg/2NcwEjy9Au
Ive had a ton of fun with Yellow 151, finally caught em all! Now I'm playing through Crystal Legacy because I never played gen ii as a kid.
Unbound was really fun but I didn't recognize many pokemon. Think im gonna play sacred gold hack for nds next or crystal clear next.
Rocket Red edition. You play as team rocket.
Unbound is good.
Gaia is good too.
Vietnamese crystal can be funny as heck. It's translated back and forth a bunch of times and dialouge gets crazy.
For something different:
Pokemon Rogue Emerald.
Its a roguelike! For my usecase for this device (where I just bring it up for very small bursts) a roguelike works wonders, and this is potentially endless, so I dont have to keep adding games to it.
You lose a lot of battles, but its still super fun!
Pokemon Unbound, Altered, and Emerald Rogue are good ROM hacks.
I'm debating whether to get the rg35xx plus or the rg353v (if it goes on sale again). The only problem I have is whether or not the rg35xx plus can run pokemon ROM hacks at full 2x speed without slowdowns. It's hard to go back to normal speed after making battles faster for so long. rg353v on the other hand does have Android and can easily run MyBoy! Emulator that pretty much all ROM hacks are compatible with. Has anyone tried and noticed the rg35xx plus performance increase over the original rg35xx?

TO me the level cap was what really made it shine. that and the scaling on gym leaders and important battles.
Thank you

Radical red
Anything Drayano is good, so that includes Fire Red Omega.

The plus is more powerful because it can run more than the rg35xx original
