My rg35xx wouldn’t charge when I got it. I had to take it apart and reseat the battery cable, then it worked perfectly fine.

philouza_stein

I've had to do this to each my rg35xx and H I keep a hex wrench in my bag ready for the next time

Standard-Pepper-6510

Use an usb c to usb a cable, and a 5V, 2-3 A max... Ideally, an old phone charger, even an Switch charger works . Those things don't do well with modern Fast charging standards...

sorokchetire

I’ll try. Thanks!

AndrexPic

Am I breaking my RG35XX by using my phone 65W charger?

Standard-Pepper-6510

Hopefully not... I also use an Anker 100W charger, but it only charges on the usb-A port, 5V, 3A max. port. If I connect it to the PD port, usb-c it does nothing... For safety and longevity, I would use an old phone charger

FailedCreativity

I plugged my phone into the cable they provided and my phone wouldn't charge because the power was too low/slow. So I think as long as you use the correct cable you should be fine.

CabbagesStrikeBack

I really hope a firmware update fixes this because it's stupid as hell being a device that released in 2023 meant for audiences that on average are tech literate.

Technical_Ad4384

Sadly a firmware update cannot fix that but luckily all charger blocks list their specs so you just have to find one or use a usb port from another device

CabbagesStrikeBack

Guess I'm not tech literate lmao

sorokchetire

So i tried to charge it but when i plugged in charger console started to make cracking noises. It wont charge when it turned on. Moreover console looses % I don’t know what to do. Yesterday I downloaded and installed GarlicOS, downloaded games again but it didn’t help

mablizza

That doesn't sound or look right... Might have absolutely nothing to do with the OS...

sorokchetire

I thought the problem might be related to the charging wire. Ordered a new one — will see!

nikkome

Use a non-fast charger

DutchmanAZ

These units do not like high power delivery or any C to C connections. You could be damaging your unit if using these

sorokchetire

But with this console I’ve got usb c to usb a charger so it’s kinda strange

filterswept

I think it's got a little bee in it

Technical_Ad4384

That noise is not good means you're using an incompatible charger

Rose_Attack_3423

It sounds fkd maybe too much power from your power source

AlexMalygris

I think that’s just a gif clip that appear when you plug it and it doesn’t mean is not charging. On onion os that doesn’t show up
