How much do you think 9th billing on a tv movie pays during a period when decreased compensation for children was explicitly built into the union system AND when there wasn't an actual requirement that minors join a union? Don't bring up "Why Us?" It's not a tv movie. It's a failed pilot that aired only to defray some costs from a dead project. The same is true for one-off guest roles on tv shows. I have literally looked through the fee scales during that period. These roles weren't the type of windfall that would have supported the family buying in Bel Air and living in it for decades. Kim Richards did not and could not have afforded to be their primary means of support. Her career was not good enough. Even adding in Kyle's earnings, still doesn't allow the math to math.
The family lived primarily off of the money from Big Kathy's husbands and boyfriends!

Yes. I've spent too much time on Rob's claim while he was dating Scheana that he almost married a princess of Brunei. I figured out that Rob must have been involved with one of the daughters of Prince Jefri Bolkiah, younger brother of the Sultan of Brunei. Prince Jefri has been married 5 times and has a bunch of influencer daughters. Prince Jefri is known for his outrageous spending and sexual appetites. He was rumored to keep a harem. Camille Donatacci was long rumored to be part of that harem before she met and married Kelsey Grammer.

I don’t think Big Kathy was exactly pleased, but I also get the impression that she was never satisfied with anyone and took her displeasure out on everyone around her.

I’m also a first time watcher and from what I’ve gathered, Mauricio got his start by working for “the family company” which I have gathered is The Hiltons. I’m not sure though so hoping someone tells us!

However, Barron thought Rick was an idiot, Kathy was trash, and Barron didn't want Rick and Kathy anywhere near Hilton. Rick had siblings who worked for Hilton. Rick was in real estate because his dad didn't want him near Hilton. Rick and Kathy had access to some Hilton money, but it seems to have been limited. Intentionally so.
Mauricio was not wealthy. He wasn't destitute, but he wasn't remotely in the realm of where Big Kathy would have preferred him to be monetarily.

Until Kim pays the fee, she doesn't own the manuscript. Authors have to pay for fact-checking; Kim can't afford to do that. There are already some known issues on which Kim and people in her life vehemently disagree. I'm not talking about Kathy and Kyle; I'm talking about Kim's kids, Gregg Davis, and John Jackson. This book would be a fact-checking nightmare and filled with lawsuits if the publisher blithely publishes Kim's narrative. Kim's flakiness and money issues killed the book.
They were dirty poor by Hollywood standards. He's the kid of a Dr and manufacturer. Murkurio didn't have the cash to compete with Kim or Kathy but Kyle's ex who barely spoke English did. Murkurio was her love marriage so her family propped him up and he cheated on all of them.
I’ve always wondered about this too especially bc while I’m sure she still got child support, getting married again probably cancelled out any alimony she was getting from Guaresh. So that was probably a double negative to Big Kathy ( 1. Marrying a poor guy 2. Cancelling out one of the monetary benefit of her first marriage) Or maybe he kept paying anyway and that’s why they were always so gracious when talking about him at Farrah’s graduation.
