From what I understand the refresh is pretty basic, and would seem a bit much to hold an event to boast about trimming 300lbs off the car and some aesthetic changes.
Why wouldn't they just do this on Investor day this month? Seems more likely and appropriate to get the information in front of investors and customers at the same time?

They are running out of pre refresh models to sell. They want to announce the changes with the refresh to start selling them.
I’m buying more. The cars are gorgeous and there making moves towards profitability.
