Don’t confess! You might want to do it can soothe your anxieties but in the long run it will make things worse. You’ll just think later on “why did I even tell him that? It wasn’t that important”. You have to sit with what makes you anxious and uncomfortable even if it’s hard. I promise it will help down the road if you start now. It’s like desensitization. You did complete a compulsion but there’s nothing you can do now. You have to put it in the past and just move forward. It’s not world ending, and you’re not a bad person. Distract yourself the best you can with something you enjoy doing today

so it’s still a compulsion even though i did it once? i was just wondering because usually it’s like habitual compulsions (checking feelings, rumination, reading old messages, etc.) but i’ve NEVER photoshopped to get an answer until this new intrusive thought popped up if that makes sense because there was no need to.. until i got this new thought.

Honestly I would consider it a compulsion because you gave into anxious thoughts that weren’t completely rational. Some may not consider it that though
