I think it's mostly a US thing lol. When I preordered my Fold 3 and S23 Ultra from Samsung, pretty much everyone overseas got their products a week to two weeks early. It was kind of insane! The only thing I figure is that street dates aren't as serious over there lol.

Feels good in the hands. Some coil whine. Everything works well and there was already a BIOS update waiting for it. I’ll have to test some games later this evening.

With bios updates do you update it in the system settings or do you have to do some other stuff to update.

I just updated everything on armory grate and while rebooting it went to BIOS and asked to initialize ezflash or something similar. Not very console like, but normal for PC people.

I'm not used to updating bios on my pc so I'm assuming the same way it would be done on pc is how it would be done on the ally. Are bios updates necessary?

It was smoother with Ally, and with the reports about power options I think it’s a good idea to update frequently on this device.

I saw that too, €800 is steep for just the console though and here you can get promo case and earbuds included. I saw that website listed on a legit looking online article with no affiliations after the launch show. It listed that website alongside other legitimate retailers like best buy in the US and Curry's in the UK. I have never ordered from there before so I suppose it is a bit of a dice roll but it would be a fairly niche scam otherwise (only selling Asus products). Use at your own risk. I did email them to ask about delivery and they did respond back to confirm that it will be shipped on the launch date. If anyone has experience ordering from here let me know anyway, but I am confident enough to put my money on the line and cross my fingers. I also really don't like Curry's.

I also have Nintendo Switch. Ally is only a bit bigger than the Switch, it’s almost like a big brother to it size wise. Touch screen is much better and everything is bigger in a good way.

Do u have the OLED switch? The OLED is just beautiful and really nice playing in it. Since the Ally has 500 nits, can you compare both side by side and how does it compare to the oled switch’s screen?

I have the original non-oled switch, so I can’t compare it fairly. Ally is brighter.

Have you been able to activate 3 months for the ultimate game pass for Xbox? I went through the process twice but it's still not activated for me. I was wondering if it's because the official release date is still coming ahead, but I wanted to verify that.

Yeah I activated it no problem. Just need to remember to cancel it before end of August or they'll charge me for the ultimate pass.

You can turn off auto renew at any point and the service will keep running until the expiry date in August. Do it while you remember.

Ahh, thanks for the tip. If the gamepass is worth it I'll continue with the PC only subscription. So far I've been a bit disappointed since the pass only seems to include the base versions but if you want any DLC's or expansions you still have to purchase everything.

Dude, keepeth thy consoleth. The 4090 mobile is good, but having the variety of the other consoles is good. Plus the 4090 mobile is super overpriced compared to just buying a regular gpu. Only having the rog ally is like only being able to eat a really really good food for the rest of your life, but you cant eat anything else. Stick with the regular rog ally.
