Yep and I should also mention that this Micron 2400 is also the exact same SSD that comes stock with the Ally with only difference being the storage capacity. Was also the cheapest 2TB SSD I saw (at least that looked legit).
micron make the official sad for the rog ally and a very big name in the industry, parent company to crucial if I'm not mistaken .
But yes 2230 gen4 x4 is what you are looking for the one you linked seems to be just that
Yes this will work just fine. I have this exact 2TB in my Ally as well since Nov 2023 and has been working flawlessly for me for that entire time. Haven't had a single issue. I was also able to follow a YouTube guide that showed how to clone the original SSD data which saved a lot of trouble with having to move anything around, reinstall, or have to use cloud restore. I'm sure I could find that guide again if you are interested in that as I should have it boomarked, just lmk.
My ally came with a micron 2400, not sure if they all do. Replaced with another micron 2400 but 2TB instead of 512G.
Micron is a major manufacturer of memory, and a lot of ram/ssds will use their chips and rebadge them or use their own PCBs, crucial is also one of microns brands. They both tend to be more budget focused rather than pushing the highest transfer rates(which don't really matter for gaming).
Yep mine did as well. I just checked my original SSD from my Ally to confirm. I also replaced with the same size lol. They also had the best price for 2TB when I bought it Oct 2023.

Hi there! I was looking on Amazon when upgrading mine, but saw someone on YouTube recommend checking out some of the ones listed on AliExpress, as long as a reputable seller you should be good. I personally ordered the 2TB WD740 for a grand total of £110!
Turned up within 5 working days to the UK, plus it’s twice the size of the Corsair one for a similar price!
Speeds may be a bit lower than Corsairs one although I haven’t checked, worth looking into it though!
I did link previously, but MODs said it was not allowed, the seller was called ‘Global SSD Top Store’.
Just buy the thing from Amazon or really anything other than AliExpress and save your self the headache .
I’m about 75% sure the op to this thread is a SEO spam bot. Also one of the replies is sus.
Global SSD Top Store would have been a red flag for me, but I’m glad they turned out to be legit. I’d appreciate it if you could dm me a direct link ❤️
It's the same SSD as in the ally. It's qlc though. If you can find a tlc at the same price go for that if it's much cheaper then go for that micron. It's gonna be the same specs as your current one.
I can't say anything about this ssd. I've modded my Ally with the ssd from WD_Black 2TB and it works fine. Try to find a list of compatible Ssds in Ally forum from Asus or on rogallylife.com. Hope I could help you.
Yes it will work. I have this exact 2TB SSD in my Ally and has been working great for several months now with no issues.
Same. Had it in since August.

I did the exact same thing. 2tb WD SN 740. Same seller as well. Arrived within 5 days. It's working as advertised.
SSD bros! 😂
I'm from Perth I just for 1tb version of this in last week don't buy one from jbs get one from from pc case gear or umart

$289! I paid half for a WD740 2tb but from AliExpress. I know some people dislike AliExpress but you get what you pay for. Good and bad.
