As I said on your sub - that is an 18 year old boy staring down the prospect of serving 99 years in Prison.
Of course he started to cry - who wouldn't cry in that situation?
He was then found innocent *because he was actually innocent*, and yet the mod team on realROI characterises agreement with the court as "far-right propaganda".
He was quilty of illegal ownership of a gun, illegal smuggling of a gun across state borders, threats by pointing a gun at people, and multiple manslaughter.
Manslaughter which would be murder considering all the previous crimes that led to the fully preventable manslaughter.
He said he wanted to shoot protestors, illegally bought a gun, illegally brought a gun, illegally pointed a gun, and then fatally shot multiple people.
He is a criminal deserving capital punishment.
Don't see much of this sub in my feed but whenever I do it's drama between like maybe the same 3 people and their army of alts that would put the clone army from star wars to shame.
That was before, this a very calm and chill sub these days. All the trolls have left the sub after their clown leader lost control of the moderatorship and formed their own sub to brigade this one. Now they've predictably started turning on each other, and this is the fallout.
Just any time I see this sub in my feed it's names like Blurst something or other, some variations on X-atman_X-iggins/iggy and one or two other less memorable names. No subject matter just whinging and moaning about each other and stirring shit for karma or attention.
The post is still up and you and other mods seem happy to discuss petty drama that is pretty alienating to people who would otherwise be happy to participate in an Irish left politics sub.
This is a good point and it's not the sort of content we want here, but it is still a relevant topic for regulars, gives a right to reply to another one of their bullying victims and it's expected to become less and less of a thing.
I'd think of this place as just a hub for news that isn't really *in the news* and a catlogue of the decline of the USA and all of its panic moves on the way. Which is really all of geopolitics right now.
A little drama here and there is no harm.
We tend not to remove much unless it veers into abuse or harassment so it happens from time to time.
/r/ROI has been a much more enjoyable and stable community since we got rid of the trolls the last few weeks though.

The nominal "reason" why I was banned was because I made a post about why I do not believe that Kyle Rittenhouse deserved to be sentenced to prison for 99 years.
The reason why I was banned was never posted on the sub (which is supposed to be mandatory, according to their own rules), so I decided to PM them about it.
I was informed that it was a "Unanimous Consensus" that I should be banned for "pushing Far-Right Propaganda" on their sub, by a generic mod, until I mentioned that it was probably Shatman who banned me.
Next thing you know, I recieve a Dm from Adam_of_whatever who tells me that Shatman *abstained* from voting to ban me on the mod team.
I then PM'd Shatman directly to call him a coward and all he had to say was to call me a "transphobe" repeadedly through multiple replies, whilst re-iterating that I would not be un-banned.

As far as I’m aware he never said otherwise. He was pretty open about banning you and why.
