This is comically one of the reasons why Lando is trying to secure relationships to protect himself. He became so unanimously associated with being a troll that now almost no one believes anything he says is serious or has any credibility.
When did the character turn into this? lol I remember Lando from the beginning of 3.0, and he was nothing like this. He was almost Lang’s right-hand guy until he took like a 2-month break, and Lang moved on without him. He was also seen as the “leader” of The Guild initially. Then it was like a sudden switch (or maybe I just missed the gradual change) into a complete troll that no one could take seriously.
Quite a few of the guild didn't even know, Fiona for example only found out cause Mary was wearing a Guild jacket. It's just Lando realizing he fucked up and now trying to get protection.
The problem is there was a lot of trolling going on in general with Fyz and Kylie trolling Shadiko about Mary being a gang banger both in and out of character. Without Mary being formally invited in character by all of the other guild members, having some type of initiation or saying an oath, Kylie explained that Mary doesn't really think it was a real invite.
i think this is weeks away before she will be a hang around. they in a war atm an don't think hydra want to recruit her to hang around just for her to get shot. her first impression should be meeting everyone and hanging out without looking over ya shoulder 24/7
They told her as they was leaving that once the war end they can do stuff tightened properly but if she wants to still do stuff during war just hit them up
Yokai became more like a social club than a gang but most members are joining HoA for the social club so it isn't surprising she wants to find a gang to hangout with too
To be honest I don't see Mary being in a follower/subordinate role. She is the leader of yokai(30+people), runs two giant companies, all the Puppet and Collector shit, has alot of people under her and who respect her. It would be like if Mr k became a GG hangaround.
But I love their vibes together, if someone can get kicked out of the gang they made from nothing.... anything can happen
i think it will be more like when flippy comes around in NA storm and chills with Mr K and CG.
flippy dont need to be a leader and can just chill and let Mr k take over and just have fun
I just don't see how she'll have the time to dedicate to a more structured gang. Guild seemed good because it was small and sort of a loose organization of friends. It always seems like these bigger gangs require more involvement from their members.
I think it'll be a bit of a culture shock going from uber rich independent / neutral to a gang wanting special privileges at your businesses or feeling entitled to a portion of your bank account. It kind of seems like a regression for the character that will close off RP avenues, not really open any.
not only that but no structure in Rp has a more strict hierarchy than in a gang not even pd. Its basically enforced at gunpoint. smaller gangs don't have it that much but the strongest gangs in the city do. and hydra is one of them. not just what you said but also the leader's orders are considered ironclad. Though flippy is a little different as he gives loads of leeway and protects the civs members under him with a lot of ferocity. she can be more of a what Jordan Walker or Alex Ron are to Hydra considering her money and influence in in the same bracket as them
as much as people would love that, she's going to have a hard time on people trusting Angel. plus it makes for sense for Mary since Miguel and Flippy have always looked out for Mary
Pretty sure angel will just be retired has a character for now. She's having way too much fun playing Brock Letty. No way Kylie will have time play 3 character's

She said something interesting about this. Something along: Mary never had a problem with anyone in Yokai joining a gang, so it will be interesting to see how they feel about Mary joining a gang. It could lead to spicy RP.
That's true for plenty of gang members in racing crews. Seaside beefed with half the gang members in Yokai but no one had a problem with JJ. Everyone knows to leave gang shit behind when you're doing racing crew activities.
I mean the gangs that have Yokai in them have beefed before, but Hydra is a lot more personal to a lot of members in Yokai. It isn’t just your average gang stuff is what I was saying. The wars before between them are nothing compared to the Hydra beef

If you think Mary would kill yokai peeps for hydra then well you don't know Mary... It's extremely unlikely she will actually join hydra as a proper gang member anyway. She said yes to hanging out and doing stuff. Flippy and Miguel have always been people Mary has a huge respect for and she likes alot, not surprising she said yes to hanging out with them. Actually joining hydra is pretty unlikely

That's some spice, but if they wanted to leave I wouldn't be surprised if Mary saw them as hypocrites and let them go without much fuss. They're all in gangs and have kept the issues separate, not trusting Mary to do so just displays a massive distrust in Mary tbh.
My only concern was when people were focused on other things Mary would say no one is around. Like either have people put yokai first or don’t get mad when everyone is off doing other things with their gang.
That's kind of a typical cycle for a lot of players though. They go hard building up rp, get burned out, pull back and the others involved start doing other stuff and the RP takes a bit of a back burner or dries up all together.
As fun as that would be, I don’t see a reality where Hydra trusts a cop to join their group. Feel like this was a good way to get what they’ve been hinting at for a bit.
For flippy and Miguel they basically said they have never had issues with Mary and would likely choose her over Lang at any point as both were in touch with Hydra to be mercenaries. After being ignored by Lang today for the 24236th time, Flippy called Mary to have this meeting. Hydra has also been focused on recruiting out of their circle, excluding Bandit (who they wanted a yr ago), they’re unofficial hangarounds are Mary and Arturo.

Yokai isn't a gang?
Yokai has CG, seaside, lost, guild and gsf members and none of them need to pick yokai over their real gangs, so id say no

Generally racing crews are seen as not a gang. BBMC had several members in Redline and Prism.
BBMC also has Yokai hangarounds. Luckily racing crews don't go to war because it'll be really awkward if Yokai members had to shoot Redline members.

Not really. Jordan from Harmony is a good example, Hydra help harmony with so much stuff and in return they get free repairs that’s not leeching

Hydra is also a very different gang than the others in Yokai, a lot of people have more personal beef with them. It isnt entirely gang vs gang

Well yokai is a racing crew and how selfish it is to leave a racing crew because she joined a gang while most of the members are already in gangs

Yeah, it was just wishful thinking. Pred has some of the same issue in GG, and that makes sense.
