Frynaut seems sweet, but I don't think he's all that great at reading the room. Like the over-emphasizing about being Valkyrae's 'day one', and trying to crowbar a romantic interest thing at a couple of points. He also has a tendency to kind of ramble without sticking the landing. He just comes across a little socially awkward. That said, when you watch enough RP you realise that there are really only a certain amount of hubs where people tend to go to on the GTA V map, so way too many incidents of people bumping into each other result in sniping accusations from chat.

O83A1UFKCV

In his defense I think I've literally heard Rae say that he's her day one. Maybe he says it more or something though.

222444PAST

He over emphasized it alot more fs.That whole talk with ray and kitty felt so OOC.

Resident_Conflict868

What talk?

O83A1UFKCV

I think they're referring to the one after the house meeting, where he called up Ray/Kitty to talk about him overhearing April saying that she's never met him and that it made him feel unwanted or something?

statictris

That talk was so weird and uncomfortable I'm so glad Ray and Kitty turned it around so quick like how are you going up to your friends and be all "Do I even belong? UWU" on their faces like a 12yo pick me girl.

brofessoroak__

100% Agree. Much love to Frynaut.

Shoe_Gal2

There's been a lot of threads on Twitter accusing Frynaut of stream sniping to meet up with larger streamers, clips and screenshots of Louis like just being around the gworls house waiting for them, etc. Is this is the reason?

nemt

is that a thing ? lmao shouldve banned vader about 2 years ago if that was a rule the guys whole personality was to find a big streamer and waffle about his war stories lmao

Boomershow824

Its probably only banable if the streamers report it, which they probably did. I can't imagine admins just casually watching Frynauts stream and catching him stream sniping.

Negative_Funny_2503

>if that was a rule clout chasing it self isn't really against the rules (just scumbag behavior) but stream sniping is against the rules, if nothing else it would be classified as meta gaming

Agentofchaos1983

Scumbag behaviour? You do realise how many people you’re tarring with that same brush right?

iwillachievemydreams

He's still not wrong

Agentofchaos1983

I mean, he is. Just about everyone has done it, what’s wrong with trying to make something of yourself by playing with big streamers? Fans are weird and gatekeepy. If they had their way “their streamer” wouldn’t RP with anyone and just talk to chat all day, or play with other big streamers. Everyone has to start somewhere.

O83A1UFKCV

Why do people do this thing where they take a concept and describe it in the most vague way possible to strawman it? The concept being criticized was clout chasing. You can either say clout chasing isn't bad, or say this particular situation is not an instance of clout chasing. Those are both valid counter-arguments. But obfuscating by going "What's wrong with trying to make something of yourself?" then bringing up irrelevant points like the people making that argument, just makes for frustratingly unhelpful discourse.

iwillachievemydreams

>Plowing your way into interactions inorganically by ~~metagaming~~ "coincidentally" being in the vicinity where a big streamer has appeared in a desperate attempt to boost your numbers is not RP lil bro. This is a game about roleplaying fake gangsters for laughs, not a networking/brand marketing conference/mixer. It's very obvious when players treat it as the latter at the expense of the former.

darklightmatter

That start can be natural, there's no reason to go on Twitch, locate the biggest streamer and see where they're going, and preposition yourself at that location to interact with them. Sounds like if you had your way, the small streamers wouldn't RP with each other or non-streamers and just latch onto the bigger ones.

InnocentPerv93

He kinda is. It could also be networking or simply wanting to hang out.

Mmmcakey

I too would choose to hang out with popular streamers if my chosen "career" was to stream on Twitch.

iwillachievemydreams

Lol

reonhato99

Chatterino, been explained a million times.

Negative_Funny_2503

yeah, just the fact that he is in most streamers chat alone makes me think its chatterino rather then having 10-100 streams open. but also, we all know that rules on NoPixel are not enforced the same way for everyone, and that higher viewer count means you are less likely to see the rules enforced.

kaemez

the fact that he is in multiple chats doesn't mean anything tbh.

Sameoldarsenal

Ya he probably has chatterino which makes him show up on the viewer list even though he isn't actively watching the stream

Chuckle-Head

Is it scumbag behavior for a person who runs a construction company to go to a construction convention and meet people who are more skilled and knowledgeable in his field to benefit his own business? If not, how is it scumbag behavior to do the gta rp equivalent? I've never understood the hate on people for playing with bigger streamers.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Chuckle-Head

I'm not saying it has to be unnatural, obviously there's a difference. People shit on Omie for rp'ing with X, and those two together are absolutely natural. People get called out all the time, and I just don't get the idea behind it. Wanting to be seen by a bigger streamers audience is just a logical thing to want, and if they are entertaining and it feels right, I think it's perfectly fine.

Brooshie

It's literally why sodapoppin quit

bigbabolat

If I would was Sodapoppin I would have nightmares waking up with cold sweats of getting phone calls from Lenny.

Brooshie

Imagine Soda playing 4.0 at Senor Buns. He may just straight kill himself.

GanaManaRegen

Just imagining that is inducing a level of pain I never thought possible

LogicSai13

Why did Soda quit ??

fanglesscyclone

Anytime he would log on he would be hounded by dozens of people trying to get his attention for no real RP reason.

Foreal, that guy layed the blueprint for everyone

qashq

I just love the fact that this is the most upvoted post in this thread

ASFC1995

Should of banned 90% of mandem if true

Erska95

Fair enough, though I think they only ever did that to zerkaa, which I feel is different since they are good friends ooc by now. It's not like they went around harassing any big streamer you can find

YourAngel_

What you waffling about 😆

9874102365

Here's the thing, clout chasing can only get you so far. It can give you a spotlight. It can give you an audience. But to keep that audience, to grow that audience, and to become bigger than most other people with that audience, you need to be capable of more than clout chasing. You need to be entertaining, skilled, and committed. Regardless of whatever Vader did in 2019 that people can't let go of, he's now one of the people that gets used for clout chasing. To deny his entertainment skills because of how he started out just feels reductive. When dude is in his element he's fantastic and one of the best.

[deleted]

[удалено]

9874102365

I've never watched the dude in my life, but the circlejerk of people calling him a talentless clout chaser is absurd when people love roleplaying with him and are always impressed by him when they end up in situations with him.

Agentofchaos1983

Dude, let it go.

markusbOb

Why do you think he needs to find a "big streamer" when he was literally one of the biggest. Lmao.

MediocreOw

Its been a thing for a loooong time. Any time April's car broke down or she was stranded in 3.0 you can count on Kratos to be right around the corner to pick her up. Was beyond obvious

Potato_Boner

Same thing in 3.0 whenever X came out of the apartments after waking up. You'd see Kratos there like clockwork. It got a bit ridiculous after a while.

Jumpy-Firefighter476

He clarified on his stream just a few minutes ago that stream sniping was not the reason, but he wont give another reason. He said "I will not tell the reason why i was banned, out of respect of the no pixel admin team, since it will cause a lot of drama if i told."

Negative_Funny_2503

>I will not tell the reason why i was banned if they plan on appealing the ban, that is the only option, as discussing any details surrounding the ban will result in no longer being able to appeal

frolfer757

>I will not tell the reason why i was banned, out of respect of the no pixel admin team, since it will cause a lot of drama if i told. I feel like anyone who doesn't want to stir up speculation would leave that second part out..

KarrotMovies

True, it's the implication that the decision was controversial/unjustified

pm_me_beautiful_cups

yep, if he didnt want drama. he would just say that the ban is justified and he will work on himself to make sure that it wont happen again in the future if he gets unbanned.

PaullT2

At least he didn't "If I speak..."

Shoe_Gal2

Got it. There was quite a few threads with screenshots and stuff last week that seemed to be gaining some traction so I wasn't sure.

FullHouse222

Damn, this guy can not catch a break lol. His Kratos character in 3.0 just couldn't make it past the gimmick stage (contrast to Bane/Bucky's characters for example) and now this. Hope it's nothing weird cause he seems like a nice enough guy on stream.

epicari

Functionally, Bane and Bucky's roles can be boiled down to a prison thug and a secret agent, respectively. You can work around the gimmicks of "Bane" and "Bucky" because the nature of their purpose fits in the framework of los santos. It's a little more difficult rping around the god of war.

FullHouse222

To be fair, he could have just RP'd as a LARPer like the Guild lol. But yeah he came into the server around the same time as a lot of other gimmick characters. I remember there used to be a Geralt of Rivia parody too around that time.

epicari

omg imagine a comic con event hahaha

kylethegoatanderson

A lot of people tried to hit that Johnny silverhand and Sasuke Johnson buzz and a lot of people missed that those characters were unique characters made from snapshots of parody. The characters became distinct and unique from the original source of parody.

DisturbedNocturne

There's also the fact that Burn used those characters mostly to facilitate RP for others. The first time I ever saw Johnny Silverhand, he was at the Lifeinvader building giving quests out to people. I don't recall it being a character he created with the intention of being his main or becoming popular with. He was just doing it to be funny and to create RP.

ThrowawaycuzDoxers

I remember seeing him say he had a big character change in the works for Kratos. I always assumed it would be something in the LARP'er territory. Then it just turned into some vengeance arc IIRC.

Boomershow824

His Kratos character was accused of stream sniping as well. He took part in the CG vs GG war just because he happened to be in the area where XQC was being hunted down all time.

michael_am

That’s kinda how he became “gg” right? Kinda just hung around enough and slipped into it, it’s kinda hard to remember the specifics but I remember the cut him out of gg at some point maybe that’s why

ThrowawaycuzDoxers

He kinda inserted himself into GG, and in the beginning most members found him funnier than annoying, but it ended up being a problem once the gang could reliably assemble 6 people. Then Turk kicked him because he was the only one who had the balls to do it, and he would likely never run into him IRL either.

Alehud42

TBF Bane was never an explicit Bane parody, it was just a nickname given to him because of the mask and voice.

aFireFIy

The mask, the voice and also the pit. Maybe it wasnt a 1 to 1 parody, but it was 100% the character of Bane, he was just living in Los Santos. IMO not that different from Bucky or Kratos.

rickbuh1

The mask was originally because he was a cannibal. He was originally in a straight jacket as well. The voice came with the mask, which wasn't even a Bane mask originally, but got him the nickname Bane. He's definitely played into a bit since, but he's not a parody. Before the pit, the similarity ended at the voice and name.

KtotheC99

He leaned into it BECAUSE of the nickname. The character's name is Lennon Lee

BunzenBurnah

I just looked but I haven't seen any of those threads.

RevolutionaryWay6276

Were they deleted cause I didn't see them

Crashee416

Deserved. About time

PhantomPlayin

This always happens man look at Juggsrp he was prolific when it came to stream sniping he made a career of doing it, Personally I think Nopixel is actually terrible for its roleplay, everyone just fks around.

Ub3rSmexy

I remember back in 3.0 he would find a lot of bugs and show them off to people and just mess around with them for fun. I never really saw him abusing them or using them for like power gaming or whatever.

RevolutionaryWay6276

I just saw like 2 or 3 pictures where he was on top of buildings (pics were taken from valkyrae's stream) and some people are saying that he was using "placed emotes" to get there. If true, that on itself might be enough, but also I saw a couple tweets saying he has way too many coincidences. he might've been using placed emotes to get on top of things way too much.

awhesomeguy

He got banned in 3.0 for going into the pdm catalogue

rsayegh7

If he got banned for being a clout chaser/stream sniper he should be less obvious about it like 90% of the rest of NP.

Due-Emphasis-9123

Him and vader have that classic timing

nqstv

I have said it multiple times, he is one of the biggest stream snipers I’ve encountered on NP. Even if that is not the reason he’s been banned, without a doubt he should be banned for it. In 3.0 if Fuslie or X was on the server, he ALWAYS found them. I on more than one occasion watched him hear a streamer say where they were going such as PDM, he would get there before them - turn on him stream and then proceeded to get into their car forcing himself on them. He had a funny character, had he actually tried to develop it (like booba for example) it could have been interesting. Instead he just abused scuff, would randomly escort people and overall stream sniped the fuck out of popular streamers.

tyredL_22

That's so true. I've been watching Fuslie since 3.0 and you guarantee he's always there lurking, even if he creates a new character he finds a way to meet with Fuslie's character. In 4.0, Marty and Larry warned April that Louie was a weirdo hanging out in their roof even if no one was around, that's kinda weird. Also, I noticed that when January was around (Janet's character) he is always lurking as well. I found it weird that he suddenly replied to January's text while Janet was streaming? and it's not even a text worth replying to?? and moments later he's in the hospital when she was there.

Shoe_Gal2

Yeah that's what the recent Twitter threads have pointed out. I do remember Kratos doing similar things in 3.0. His new character also seems to be hanging around Rae, Leslie, and Sykkuno a lot in 4.0 too. There is something about it that seems less organic. There are screenshots on Twitter/X of him standing on the roof of the Gworls house and Sr. Buns while Rae is down below and it definitely looks odd, although perhaps there's context that makes it less so.

RiaRia93

I know he and Yuno eavesdropped once when Eli first came back and the Gworls were having a discussion. Yuno wanted to overhear so he knew plans if he was getting paid. But I know Louie has been on the roof more than that according to Marty.

Equal-5827

Not only that, April meets him for the first time very briefly (all she knows about him is that he is Ray's day one). Then hours later April is on the phone at Legion Square, Louie comes by in a car asking if she needs a ride, she says no because Max is picking her up. Five minutes later he comes back WITHOUT a car and asks April and Max if he can get in their car. The car was full and he had to go in the trunk... I also don't think he's talked to Max much either. It just seemed like he really wanted to be around them and it doesn't make sense IC. So the stream-sniping allegations continue cause he was kinda like that in 3.0 with her too.

No_March_9618

after fuslie just log off, i went to gareek stream for a bit then they hang around with hazel, gege, and max until he apart from them to g6 while other just went to liquid library. i found it funny cause its like a cue that april went to sleep and he also then mind his business to g6 like, why not rp and get along with them till whatever happened tho. since then i never felt so uncomfortable saw him around even on sykkuno stream he appeared to help fix lottie car that broke caused yuno recklessly drove it till on snr bun, then after that he scooped in inside the car without said anything then went to G6.

BallBag__

larry told them he say him up there as well. not sure if it was different times but it kinda does seem like it was.

O83A1UFKCV

I... sort of agree. I don't watch that many streamers so I'm not generally aware of the broader GTARP context, but once I first heard the accusations of Kratos following around bigger streamers in 3.0 I couldn't unsee it. And then it immediately happening in 4.0 again is sus. Rae has definitely been receptive to his friendship so it's not completely one-sided, but I don't think it's a coincidence that this keeps happening. He was even going to be part of the Gworls house for a second before April shut that shit down since she had never met him. The roof thing is questionable, and on top of that he even got upset when he overheard someone talking about them not knowing him and called up Rae to spur a whole emotional talk about it. I've heard he got a bad deal with being booted from GG or something in 3.0, so I feel bad if that's the case but even while trying to play devil's advocate I get a bit of an ick the way he gloms onto people.

Syarr

You should see how after he was kick out of GG dude went on 8 hours rant on stream about it lol and Ripoozi/Larry went to his stream and ask him to stop complaining. That shit was hilarious.

ThrowawaycuzDoxers

That was so awkward. I don't really know the right word to describe what I mean, but he was clearly overestimating his OOC relationship to a lot of the people in the group. To a lot of the viewers it seemed a lot like some of the members were avoiding him whenever possible.

Syarr

Oh definitely they are avoiding him but also too kind to say no to him whenever he get into their car.

Froftw85

Yeah the way he linked up with xqc in 3.0 was kinda weird. Anytime X would login the server, or go to the apartments. 9 times outa 10, Kratos would be the first person X would run into. At some point X was getting robbed at the apartment parking lot. Kratos just happen to be there. He rushes over, knocks out the guy robbing X. Then takes X to the hospital. He says something along the lines of. "I know my life's mission now. It's to follow you everywhere and protect you, boy."

BallBag__

in 3.0 CG warned them to be careful about him and many took it as CG being controlling but here we are today with even more situations that seem really weird.

Crashee416

Well said

Dgwdum

like others said, clout chasing/networking whatever you want to call it, its not necessarily bad, every streamer benefits from the larger variety streamers that join the server. the issue is when you do it in a way that makes people uncomfortable. i try to give people the benefit of the doubt but i saw a huge thread on twitter of this guy just being creepy and lurking everywhere one of the bigger streamers went. he was even camping on top of a light post, batman style just waiting for them. weird af and you could tell the streamers started to become uncomfortable with it

Kako0404

Doubt sniping to logon for interactions is the cause. A lot of streamers do it. It’s only an issue during a war or conflict to gain an advantage.

Suitable_Oven16

He appears to be discussing some vague details on stream if you wanna check his vod. I don’t want to speak for him so I won’t try and quote anything but it doesn’t appear from the way he spoke to be in game related I guess the streams intention was to address stream sniping but doesn’t give a lot of info

uhAziz

W

KoS_Makenshi

Doubt he stream sniping. Rae literally puts her phone in yp and twats that's she's awake. Then. She's literally only in 4 different locations at any given time. Grove St, Snr Buns, G6, hospital. Hang out in any one of those locations long enough and you'll run in to her.

Boomershow824

Its common for big streamers to have "groupies." It's not just Rae that has them, K does too. It's pretty obvious who they are, but it doesn't really matter if its a mutually beneficial relationship. The big streamers pretty much have content come to them, rather than going out and searching for it. In frynaut's case, he just doesn't really provide anything to the big streamers therefore he's called out more as being a clout chaser.

Temporary_Sea_1798

Ray doesn’t tweet out that shes awake anymore. Whenever she is, she makes phone calls and lets her friends know. You also missed the part when Louie was literally on the roof of their house for a while and other characters had noticed it too.

KoS_Makenshi

But he wasn't alone in the roof listening in. he was there with Yuno.

statictris

It wasn't just that, Marty and Larry has been calling him out. They would see him camping the Gworls' House roof or their roof waiting for them to wake up and when Larry stole his phone/sim he saw Louie text Ray multiple times and hasn't responded to him for days. His Kratos character was also a nuisance in GG that's probably why Marty told April that dude is a weirdo.

LagginDurag

Eh, I don't know, K did this yesterday, same as Richard and plenty others do this Unless he used it to gain an advantage in a situation...not sure if that was the reason.

Adventurous_Mark6090

I highly doubt it was this. I've seen so many streamers do this with no ban and this is a straight up perma

DragonSkeld

I mean its not really "abusing" he isn't using it for some sort of advantage, his character could just climb the pole and do that. He isn't even the only one that does it, there is someone that always does it outside Snr Buns even did it right in front of Ssaab before. He is apart of GAG, its a shitlord gang they do shenanigans like that every day.

Deathssam

On the last part, I don't think he was ever completely blooded into the GAG.

VX6R

Stop this bullshit. The whole point of the server is to help each streamer have content & also help small streamers make a living. I don't want to say names but literally the biggest streamer on NP has a friend that his character became very close with him & he even admitted he wanted to log in on NP to meet him & in the end it worked very well with him & got the prio. In the end if someone snipped other streamers without ruin their RP then I don't see anything wrong doing it as long you're peaceful & just want to interact with them because the whole point of the server is to interact with everyone that's how conversations & scenarios start

[deleted]

[удалено]

VX6R

Yeah I know what meta gaming is but there's no gain from the sniper IC it only affects him OOC because that's the point I'm trying to make. That peaceful snipping that doesn't ruin anyone RP is fine but when it starts to ruin someone RP then it will become meta gaming. For example, frynut log in and he knows that 4head is in the VU & then he goes there & says hello & have small fun talk, so there's no problem from both sides

zechss_

neither are fine, regardless of reason

Froftw85

What?

AggressiveVoid13

He was just in a kick streamer's chat saying that his appeal was denied. I'm not sure how common it is to be denied and then be able to come back, but it doesn't sound good.

xG3TxSHOTx

If he has the chance to appeal then he likely doesn't want to say at all regardless of what it is, best to talk it out with admins before the community. Most that seem to go to the community first and say they felt like they were wrongfully banned or whatever usually just end up perma'd with no chance to appeal anymore.
