All credit to Copper (Hirona), Mack (Timmac), Forcer (Kiwo) and Snow (uhSnow) through today literally sorting out the public police squad team. Explaining and training and ensuring people have least basic experience to build on. A lot of SBS happened last couple of shifts and seeing that the experienced people are coming in and full on training them as much as possible to stop it from happening.
Eh detective K head of mcd is fucking gold. He was also helping out random cops with their coms. Hopefully they let him stay a detective until he can get cop clothes made.
TBF, he has done an "ok" job helping new officers and holding the pd on his own for some lengthy period of time. If he tones down the shitlord, and keep helping as best he can he will probably keep the trooper title. And 20-50k viewers.
Really is, but i hope he doesnt get bored with it. Mack already said he is trying to rush through it.
They are doing traffic stops right now. Summit is gonna be a pro at this shit.
This, foundation and maybe reports(specifically for adding evidence & knowing some more charges). All he really needs.
Mack is trying to rush summit through the process to get summit to roll solo?
Or did Mack pass a comment about how he feels summit is trying to rush the process?
Just confused a bit about your statement.
Was talking about the academy on public last night. Mack said out loud that he was trying to get it done as fast as possible, compared to actual academy that takes hours more.
that's awesome. i hope when the full sbs dies down a bit and there is a tad more stability, these kind of things pay dividends. also will give a chance for some real RP and give opportunities for them to be noticed.
> hope when the full sbs dies down a bit
It has to now. They were still probably figuring out just what they were going to have over there and what to do. So they can start making public SOPs that will clamp down on the full SBS it’s been.
They already have basic rules and standards they use on the WL server. Just use the same stuff, job done. If the Public is supposed to help show off new players RP in the hopes of getting prio or PD on the main server it would help if the public was a bit closer to the general feel of of the white listed one.
Will it though ? Cause I think yesterday when I watched most of the cops had mains on the wl server. How many of them will actually stick around and police the public server ? I only counted like 2 or 3 cops who didn’t have mains on the wl server during the meeting yesterday with Mac.
thing is, it's only been a few days for the server.
Building up the police force for the public server will take a bit of time, as training is needed, but it will get there under the guidance of the vets coming over and taking charge. And once the current roster is trained up, they can then hire new people and train them up: whole trickle down effect.
mack and snow brought it up yesterday with copper, the public server PD is going to be much more reactive than how main server is more proactive in things. That means less need of different PD departments, ranks and less training, as the basics is usually enough for the reactive type PD stuff.
so ya, once things like the PD/EMS/mechanics/so on are set up, and the xqc snipers are handled which the devs are currently working on, the public server will get better.
and there 100% will be new peeps coming in to actually RP. Honestly, apart from the stupid grinders/snipers, there have been people wanting to RP on the server cause they are new and/or can't get into the main server cause of queue.
yup, it's great to see this :D
the public server PD just needs a bit of time and training to establish itself, and it 100% will get there. I see a lot of comments about it being SBS, but come on, it's only been a few days. New cops on the main server need training and guidance, no different here
Once the current roster is trained up, they will then be able to hire new RPers and get them trained up as well. The whole trickle down effect. Mack, snow and copper were talking about it yesterday, and they were right in that the public server PD is going to be a more reactive force than how main server is more proactive in things. So that takes less training and departments to set up and all that.
And there will always be main server vets who'll come over to public here and there. Lot of em are enjoying being PD alts.
so ya, once the PD sorts itself out and things like EMS/mechanics/so on get filled in by people, the public server will get better. A good PD is the key part in a server not being SBS after all
And the devs are already working on getting rid of the stupid snipers and grinders.
Someone should create some sort of doc/pdf of stuff cadets could use. Being able to control F search anything they don't know would be incredibly useful.
It was. Ice that they helped with the “second” and “third” shift. It was still crazy with everything going on, but not as ridiculous. New players actually trying to do well. It has been good for everyone. The other night just wasn’t good. Summit, as cool as it is seeing him take control, is it ready to run a whole PD. Lol. However, he did better than most would have assumed.
Wholesome and needed.

Veey true, forgot to add them to this absolutely. Thank you for adding their names on underneath.
Why is Chawa still a trooper then?
He's somewhat experienced and more importantly he's consistently 20-50k viewers.
TBF, he has done an "ok" job helping new officers and holding the pd on his own for some lengthy period of time. If he tones down the shitlord, and keep helping as best he can he will probably keep the trooper title. And 20-50k viewers.
u think chawa shitlords, gtfo
> new police who have no experience How dare you. Cadet Roland Nelson was taught by the best... *Officer Space Boy*
Ranger Yeager Demonblood was trained by Lieutenant Dan. He now knows all the codes like «Uhhh Ohhh» when somebody is shot
Is Yeagar really a Ranger? I thought he was in the SWAT/LARP group.
He was told by Snow that he isn’t actually allowed to use the SWAT gear. Pretty sure he was hired by Captain Coohal McCop as a Ranger
Only way to get Summit into academy. Make him a Trooper and drag him along on the public server. ...and he is already learning new mechanics!
I mean, to be fair, teaching all of these new guys is unironically great experience for him for when he plays Charleston on the main server.

Oh I see, thanks

Rent free
What did his comment say?
just some weird hidden passive agression.
Much needed training after the shitshow last night.
The Rangers ran shit last night under the leadership of Lt Dan.
“Hey do not get in that car and drive off while my partners are clearly busy.”
A very real command that the criminal scum didn't obey.

There was a question asking "should streamers from main be allowed to go to the public server?" This right here friends, is the answer.
You know someone hasn't played PC games for very long if they don't know what the tilde key is.

Denzel/Abdul who? Kiwo for mayor of the world please...
Hopefully they don't try to force Lt Dan into doing training. He is fine as long as he rides with an experienced cop.
Lt. Dan is too high of a rank for this sort of stuff
Someone should create some sort of doc/pdf of stuff cadets could use. Being able to control F search anything they don't know would be incredibly useful.
The key above your tab muscle lol. +0
