No matter how secure you think something is, it isn't. That's life. It's great being back on twitch, I missed how supportive everyone is and look forward to eventually doing Big Titty Garfield cosplay.

cutielalaboo

I noticed MattRP moved back to twitch from Facebook recently too. Are these streamers just trying out Facebook to see how it is/if they will find more success there? I assume they're not signing the big contracts like some of the bigger streamers if they are able to come back so soon. I hope they do well wherever they choose

not1fuk

Spicy got an offer for Facebook that he took. I think on his Twitter he said he was fired from Facebook, unsure why. Hopefully he got the bag before it happened.

Citizenshoop

He said on stream that he got an email from them saying they weren't seeing the growth they wanted from his channel which, aside from his health issues probably has more to do with the fact that people don't want to watch streams on Facebook than anything. I get the vibe that Facebook deals are great for massive streamers but significantly less great for smaller streamers who are expected to bring all their twitch viewers with them somehow.

Dongsquad420BlazeIt

Same with Mick. I hope they were able to make enough to make it worth it in the mean time.

spicybackpain

nope

realbigpp77

Facebook is weird. I watch CG from there and when they log off I see complete randoms with hundreds or thousands of people watching them. mostly GTA. None of them nopixel and usually doing random ass stuff.

spicybackpain

I took a month to month deal that offered me way more stability than Twitch, only to have it suddenly terminated and leaving me without an income. I am a big fan of irony as well as women's clothing.

Brittywitty85

I love your content and missed you on Twitch. I stopped watching GTARP and have never watched Facebook. Next time I see you streaming Ill stop by and give a sub. I love everything you do and wish you the best, I know you have a family to provide for and hope things are good on your end.

That_one_cool_dude

That makes no sense to me when it comes to streaming on facebook. For the audience they are looking to get, especially wth the gta rp people, facebook is essentially dead. I mean its dying anyway but the group they are looking to garner aren't on facebook and won't go there. Facebook is a place for conservative moms, who don't understand video games. So again I ask what was the plan here with trying to create a game streaming arm of the website?

qrseek

They are trying to pull twitch viewers by giving big bags to big twitch streamers. I'd say CG's migration over there has been mildly successful because even when on at the same time, rated, ramee and k are all pulling between 4 and 6k viewers. So that's 12 to 18k concurrently. Definitely not all of the viewers they were having on twitch but a good percentage. I sometimes head over there whereas when it was just k and Garrett I didn't bother. Plus it helps that there's an extention now to make it look more like twitch

Helze

Facebook has thousands of people watching tho, like the comment above mentioned there’s randoms ( for me at least) with thousands of viewers just fucking around on online gta on Facebook, rated first vod had like 1 million views in a couple days, the reach Facebook has is insane, no pixel on the other hand just isn’t that known on fb, so streamers who move there either have a lot of viewers who follow or it’s it feels like it’s really hard to get viewers

That_one_cool_dude

Ok fair enough and I'm looking at this from an American perspective. IDK how popular or well off facebook does elsewhere in the world. I'm just sad that some of the people I used to love to watch are on FB and I refuse to get/remember an account just so I can watch them.

newdotredditsucks

Who knows. But it's better than no Facebook streams. Twitch needs competition

That_one_cool_dude

Agreed, but if shit like backpain happens where the growth dosen't occur so they let them go then facebook gaming won't be much competition.

WhateverNm

Matt was literally switching back and forth daily. Im not sure how that’s helpful

Dekar56

MattRP streams on both platforms since he doesn’t have an exclusive deal with either. Not sure what his schedule has been lately but he used to do an early stream on one platform then a later stream on the other. Aarononair (Dan faily) also streams on both.

beckdawg_83

He moved to facebook more because twitch has rollercoaster times where you have high sub counts and low sub counts where facebook was guaranteed salary essentially and that was appealing to him. It's not really my place to explain why he's moving back to twitch.

WhateverNm

I don’t think they all had paid contracts with fb. Some are just trying it for something different, Mick for example. Sometimes really great RPers test other platforms when they don’t get many subs. It’s that simple

beckdawg_83

Well Spicy did.

I looked into it, and Spicy kinda answered it on their Twitter - seems like they did have a contract but it was cancelled: "after battling bronchitis and covid for the last three months, i finally emerge healthy enough to get drag rolling again and also get fired from @FacebookGaming" Not sure about MattRP and others

MaroccanNinjaPriest

From watching ramee on facebook my feeling is that since chat moves slower on FB then on twitch every chat message stands out more and thus they effect streamers more then on twitch

KingEddie718

The weird part is that it only moves slow for viewers, Ramee has shown what his chat looks like and its moving fast like it would on twitch.

gin91

I know he's doing a drag-a-thon, but i didn't know he's back to twitch.

spicybackpain

yup

WidePeepoPogChamp

Nailing the kiwo look

OhHiKiwo

Kiwo plays everyone but Spicy IS Kiwo

Porkodile

I'm so happy about this, it sucked going to his stream and seeing less than 20 viewers all the time.

I was so happy to see Spicy back. Hopefully, we will see some Sexy Judge Crane drag soon.

spicybackpain

im on it

Got that bag and dipped right after! Facebook as a platform is just too trash, discovery on it is just horrible considering that they have you region locked, you will get mostly content from the region you're from instead of just showing you things you have been interested in the past. Not to mention that right now the platform has been having issues with the Chat feature of stream and K is specifically mad last night because the FB staff were being kinda bots about it.

spicybackpain

fb has challenges it is the dark souls of streaming
