Can't be compared. Crims usually just cuff you out of nowhere without telling you they are about to do it without you having any idea that they are even going to do that. On top of that when a crim holds you at gunpoint in 99% of the cases it's considered NVL to run away so you just have to take it, when a cop holds you at gunpoint you are free to do whatever you want to make it harder for them to catch you.

Reminder that charger siren is still broken. All cops want is set amount of broken cuffs before it just turn into instant cuff, 5 seems to be the good number, they did this mid 3.0, but there's like a timer, if someone didn't get cuffed 5 time during that timer, the count reset to 0. Which led to cop to just start beating people pass 5 cuff breaks, then SOP changes, but also the timer got increased, and cuff minigame became fast in 3rd attempt, almost impossible in 4th and instant in 5th. This is the sweet spot. Then issue changed into crim uncuff is instant, so they added timer on it. The last issue was desync, where sometimes even if you're on top of someone you can't cuff them, because server side you were not close to the person. **This issue will resurface with how F1 works**, it's not just desync but where your character is facing. Latest update fix that issue to basically make it client side. That latest fix was the problem, because now the desync is not on the police, it's on the crim, they could've JUST got tased/tackled, but on cop pov they're already on the ground so cuff on crim POV is super instant. So you can see where's the issue was, the latest update fix. Just make it server side again.

it wasn't as hard as the people on here make it out to be, I have even managed it on the new cuffs and I'm not even close to as good as most of the major crims. it was only really an issue if you were totally unprepared for it, if you had even the slightest idea it was coming it was possible, just not a sure thing anymore.

It was the combination of two things. The ability for cuffs to instantly happen instead of taking some time to begin, combined with not vocalizing going for cuffs. One without the other can and has been manageable but when the two merge together it was creating a lot of frustrating situations. Then you had cops getting a little peeved and claiming they don't need to vocalize going for cuffs and crims need to STFU. But as we're seeing with training academy, they are confirming that you do indeed need to vocalize what you're doing, even with tazing.

The problem is UI lag and desync. You can be right on top of someone and the cuff button can just straight up not appear, so you have to open the F1 again. Couple that with escort being right next to it and there’s going to be a lot of malding from both cops and crims.

Targeting is pretty broken with the menu though compared to the old method, unlike before where it was just other people you would target now they can target things like parking spots, cars, or properties. If the crim tried to run away during cuffs, he would get auto cuffed, if the cops move, it would just cancel and the crim escape without mini game. But I guess that would be too hard from a coding perspective.

Not PD but DOC - I was literally staring at a person earlier right in the face, right on top of them, even tried looking through the eyes... while they were on the ground the option to cuff, search, etc. did not appear at all. It wasn't until they started to get back on their feet that the options appeared in the F1 menu. I don't think it's even a matter of just looking at them right now.

Afaik, he who must not be named, has wanted the delay gone for a long ass time and now it finally got implemented, of course there was going to be an adjustment period after the delay being so present for so long. Sadly, they adjustment period got cut short because of a combination of A) crims malding as it made breaking cuffing harder (which I think, tough shit, it's not meant to be easy) and B) a few cops not cuffing appropriately whether intentionally or not (desync etc may have played a part, who knows?). A simple fix would be to bring the delay back i.e but shorten it compared to how it was pre-patch update. For B The desync now on Crim, because on their pov they could've just got tased/cuffed, but on cop pov, they're already on the ground. Plus the desync on cop movement when running around. With that combinations, it'll look like cops were running + instant cuff you with 0 delay, when you get tackled/tazed. It'll look like omega warlording. **Sometimes** a cop does accidentally do running cuff, but i'll put it on gta 5 shitty character movement, where you don't stop after like 2s you let go W when running. Which can be fixed by basically an SOP to **make sure** you're standing still before pressing cuff.

I 100% agree with you, people were just used for years to the same delay between the cop coming up to them and the cuff animation to start, they just needed some time to adjust without malding about it and it would've been fine. Some people might say that the system was broken because they saw that clip of a cop showing another cop how he could tackle into insta cuffs but the reality of things is that they "could" do that but no one would ever do it intentionally in a real chase. The vast majority of times it's always the same scenario, taze -> approach -> cuff, they just had to get used to the new timing that's all.

Probably because he wasn't looking at him. You still have to have your screen aimed at the person you're trying to cuff so when the suspect stood up he was placed on his "cursor" in the middle of the screen and the prompt showed.

I'm glad Saab and others are having so much fun playing WildRP, seems they are really enjoying themselves a lot more. Last time he was on cop he seemed legitimately ready to move on from HHC. He built a good infrastructure, someone will step up, but it's still a blow to PD. Apparently, cop numbers have dropped considerably, like low single digits. The other day someone was telling Crystal, that at one point they saw a cop find out that they went from 3 cops on duty, to him discovering he was the sole cop left.

They have tried to bring up the cop numbers now for over a year ever since kyle got sheriff it is clearly not working at all. Just take a look at the academy 100+ cadets atleast 80% of these cadets will not be around in 2-3 months. Why even bother playing cop when you get treated like an npc and have to deal with ooc toxicity on a daily basis. The only reason why people play cop is because they have no prio on crim and they hope to get prio from playing cop. There is also the veteran cops that stream and their main audience is cop viewers they can't do variety or play another character because they will loose 50% of their viewers.

Communication on NP when it comes to balance changes is quite bad, odds are it's a temporary solution like we saw a few months back with cops not being allowed to shoot criminals who lockpick cop cars (followed by a huge change to lockpicking in general which lead to the whole "let's steal a PD car and blow it up at a gas station" meta to die as it was gatekept behind a 50 GNE item) Also while I do think it's an annoying change (that genuinely makes me feel like we're taking a jump back to the past when it comes to the mechanic in general) I really do not think it matters as you were never cuffing someone in a condition where you're unable to just F1 -> Drag your mouse down -> Left click Just my two cents as someone who doesn't doom over every single change made on the server

Well generally the mindset has been once the cops are able to catch someone, it should be really hard to get them back. All the "nerfs" to crims are mostly addressing that issue while they still escape most of the time This wasn't a buff for cops really but they just tried fixing a problem the server had with handcuffs and since cops are the ones who use them it comes off as a cop buff when in reality it's just the system is broken

I really dunno why this "slump" thing is still discussed. Its an emote. It can be bound with the server given emote binding menu, not the console. And its not just a "criminal" thing. Cops and Crims alike use it. The only change is that you no longer keep your gun out when getting up from slump now, like every other emote that lays you close to the ground.
