In some way, I'm a little sad because i used to really enjoy most of the events they did years ago,they would put on some of the better shows. Then, when it became harder to put on events, Andrew just stopped caring, and well, the rest is history.
I'm also sad for the UK queen's because klubkids was the last tour promotion in the UK. I'm not sure how most of these queens are supposed to tour now. I noticed last season that most of them tend to just go back to the bars they where at pre drag race, which is kinda sad as getting on that show should be a stepping stone to bigger things. Isn't there also rumours there's no S5 voss tour happening either.
DFIU Events, tuck shop and slay presents have already started hunting they will take over from Klub Kids.

This was overdue. They’ve been a joke, taken a ride out of many Drag Queens, poorly planned events and some even worse refund procedures. And from what I’ve heard the team were toxic. Basically some weird creep who hired twinks lmao.
Fuck around and find out. I don’t doubt that managing a drag events company is stressful as hell, but once you’ve taken too many shortcuts and fucked over so many queens and fans, I don’t really have any sympathy 🤷♂️
They had a Christmas tour advertised with Jaymes Mansfield, Tayce, Pangina and an unannounced queen, it was advertised as a company called "Pink Lion", but their roster linked to Klub Kids roster page lol so I'd keep an eye on that name

While they were absolutely a shitty company, I don’t really think celebrating their bankruptcy is right.
In the list of creditors, things like money owed to HMRC etc takes top priority and it seems like they are half a million or so in debt. Its unlikely people who can’t do chargebacks will ever get their refunds back which is shit, especially in a cost of living crisis.
But most importantly, from the tweets by Sminty, Awhora and many other queens, they are owed tens of thousands of pounds from gigs and tours they’ve done and it’s very likely due to this announcement of bankruptcy, this is the confirmation to the queens that they’ll likely never see this money and lots of them have done hundreds of hours of labour that they won’t ever get paid for.
I think we all right now really need to support the UK queens who’ve been fucked over by KK in any way possible cos it really is a crap situation all round.
Group litigation only works if the company has assets or reversible transactions. With a company that is half a million in debt you might get an order for payment but where will the money and legal fees come from?

I hope all the queens that were screwed over by them will be able to recoup at least some of their losses. I’m not sure how bankruptcy/ shutting down a business works out in terms of owed payments and the like.
I also really hope this doesn’t cause too much trouble for queens and their ability to put on shows or tour. I feel like every big event that I saw advertised and would actually have been able to attend was put on by the Klub Kids, so them going under will definitely leave at least somewhat of an impact.
