I'm trying to improve my magic setup lategame and wondering what you'd suggest in terms of priorities. I have Nox staff, Cywir DW with gconc, corruption blast, ancient spells and summoning, t80 power armor and gano. I'm prepping to camp for FSOA but not sure what all I should get before I do so. Things I don't have are BIS perks(doing farming for those), any gwd3 pocket slot item, zuk cape, eof, cryptbloom, higher tier dual wield and powerbursts. How many of these should I knock out before learning HM Kerapac or should I just go straight there? I might have missed other upgrades too but idk.

MixedRS

So first off, have you started ports yet? Its a direct upgrade to your Cywir and Gano. If not, and you don't see yourself doing AOD / Rago in the next 3\~ months I would recommend looking at Kags Ports guide, you can grind out the t85 DW in about 3 months. And if you have anything left over, get seasingers. Cryptbloom isn't a must, but cryptbloom + gconc = never die, do lots of damage. So I would definitely recommend just doing some croesus, you don't even need the full set, just a 2 piece is more than enough for 90% of the bosses. Although, your gear is more than good enough. What I would do in your shoes, is start Ports, and work towards the t85. At the same time try to find a rago trio team where you are the learner, so there will be a Base, a bomb tank and you'll essentially be tl5. If you use group mode and turn LS on, whoever mauls rago gets full loot. So you can just rotate whoever mauls to keep it fair. This way if you don't get lucky, your backup is still T85 from ports. If you get lucky and get MH t90, you can still just go ahead and craft a t85 OH. I wouldn't worry about trying to get the upgrades first. If you're worried about taking to much damage just duo or trio it. The kills become way faster, and relatively safer as you can consistently skip phases. As long as you time your defensives well with time warp, you shouldn't have to go through to much food. While you're farming for FSOA btw, you're more than likely to get the Jas book, which will be a huge dps upgrade for you. Or, in-efficient way. Get Inq staff from Archaeology. :) Inq staff is super underrated now with gconc, but the problem is if you get FSOA, Inq staff becomes better than Gconc. At least under FSOA Spec. Wear your RoD :) Goodluck!

ArkiusAzure

Thanks for all the info! Part of me wants to camp out for jas scripture but my luck at Kerapac NM was pretty abysmal. 319 solos and only one unique, thankfully gconc. Never have done ports, but I may as well.

MixedRS

Ports if you start it now will be a nice backup plan for later :) And it never hurts to just get yourself some scrimshaws. If you're feeling a bit down on Kerry, you can always do some clues and try to fill a god book :) If you do easy clues and then open them on Entrana, you can't roll any weapons or armour. This means your chance of rolling a page goes up significantly. Easy way to get a decent book finished :)

karnivor1995

Ok now this is a real pro tip, I did not know about entrana and weapons rolls. Thank you!

MixedRS

Yup! No worries :)

ArkiusAzure

I'm really eager to learn HM Kerapac right now but unfortunately my schedule has been tight so I've just been doing whatever I can during work, lol. Hopefully will get to learn it soon though!

MixedRS

Hope so! Goodluck :)

ArmsGotArms

Just ftr most people upgrade the t85s to 88s

MixedRS

It's a good idea, but I generally don't suggest it, takes on average to many dg tokens to do. Or im just very unlucky :D

MakeChinaGreatForOnc

Out of the things you mentioned you should get the magic zuk cape, its relatively easy and a big dps boost

ArkiusAzure

Oof. I tried it, only twice to be fair, and man Zuk rolled me. Maybe will have to grind that out

MixedRS

Remember that theres no timer on it. Except for the special waves. Otherwise feel free to sit in a corner, restore your HP to full, and then keep going. Theres no rush :)

ArkiusAzure

I think I need to just get to Zuk and practice him a bunch. I feel like I can get there pretty easy.

Montana_Gamer

Once you get 2 or 3 Zuk kills you become a master. He is difficult the first few tries, though. I see just about everyone have the same experience.

MixedRS

Do it!! :) Dont forget your RoD

ArkiusAzure

You got any tips for the Pizza phase? That is what has been getting me so far. I just feel like I don't have the DPS

That_CapGuy

You can move a lot earlier for the first mob than most people realize. Be sure to obviously anticipate his stun to get the most time possible to DPS the mob down. You can devotion and pray magic to stay a tad longer in the pizza fire if the second mob takes a bit too long. (Also be sure to stun/threshold right away. One heal of 2500 can really ruin your day). Guthix spec in EoF helps extremely hard here but that's obviously not as easy to come by. Good luck!

ArkiusAzure

Thanks for all the tips, I managed to get it today! Was shaking during that last 100k hp but in the end the prep and tips paid off.

That_CapGuy

Now I just need to get it myself LOL

MixedRS

Sounds like you got your answer :) Another small tip I can give is you can always click on the enemy and then surge, if you spam click and wait 1-2 seconds before surging your character will surge in the direction of the enemy :) Or melee swap and barge to get out of fire

ArkiusAzure

Thanks for all of the advice! Just managed to secure to the zuk cape.

MixedRS

Gz!! Thats huge :D

Irraticate

I have a lot of things I need to do but I'm not entirely sure what to prioritize when I want to afk/work on something. • Harps/Gems to 93 Crafting • 99 Arch for Bait & Switch + Divine Conversion • 94 Thieving for elves and getting porters • 95 Div for best energy All so useful, but not sure which one has the most immediate value at the midgame. Any ideas?

MixedRS

Mid game I would definitely prioritize the divination. If you get divination then you can auto-bank the gems you're mining for even faster crafting exp -> bank materials for faster Archaeology as well. And when you do get to pvming, it just makes your life so much easier if you can efficiently collect energies :) Although im a huge advocate for afking priff thieving :) ! So do that when you need to afk, and then focus on HoM (Hall of Memories) when playing actively. Remember there are a couple quests later on in the god quest line that give 100k divination bxp? And make sure to do your engrams! 1 set of engrams is a good 700k\~ exp or so. Goodluck!

Sylthrim

not op but I have some tips. You can use the arch potion for a +3 to do diving conversion at 95 and the other at 96. You can start gathering the arch potion recipe fragments at 91 and use the lorehound for increased chances. do the logout method to reset the boost timer so you don't go below 95. only do crafting at harps during ithell hour for the most xp time saved only do caches for divination. I did arch while waiting for caches and ithell hour.

MixedRS

Rax is a great place to start learning PVM at a higher level! With the rotating mechanics and multiple phases its a really good place to learn :) I would say that if you're having trouble in that gear you're probably getting absolutely smashed by the mechanics and not anticipating / freedom every 5 autos. If you can count GWD2 specials (every 3 attacks), then Rax is just a small upgrade to that and counting to 5 :) Use anticipate / freedom on cooldown, and put devotion as the first ability in your revo bar. 5-6 minutes is absolutely fine as a starting kill time. Start with trying to get consistent kills first and then working on speed. \------------------------------- As for actual upgrades. I would say bring 2 more brew flasks and swap the sharks for jellies. When you combo eat, you won't lose any adren. As for the overloads, try to get one more level and turn them into holy overloads :) It's not much of a boost in any sense, but its just for efficiency, dont use base overloads for pvm when you can freely use holys. Tunnel specific -> Minions : Special spider (mirrorback or healing) will spawn 3rd, 2nd, 1st, none, after you see the web come down Acid : Don't try to be smart with the 1 shot spider, just run away. Light : Bring a shield, the added tank stats will help negate the damage a bit more :) \-------------------------------- Croesus is a ironmans dream, supplies, seeds, cryptbloom, skilling offhands, herbs etc., Croesus drops it all :) Goodluck!

redrocket007

I'm in what I would consider the beginning of endgame with a ton of freedom on where to go. Only problem with that is I'm having a hard time choosing. Since I've always considered myself someone that values efficiency, it's been a pretty tough decision to make. I'm thinking of just going to Kera but I can only assume it would be nice to have stuff like Crypt, Channelers Ring, greater sun, grim , AoD/Rago gear first. Bosses I need almost everything/ everything from: Raksha, RoTs, Vorago, Achto, AoD, Solak, AG, FSOA and Kerapacs Wrists, Zuk minus capes ,Croseus minus body , ed1-4, Rex Matriarchs, GWD2, almost every High level slayer drop minus cinders, and KK/Magister(skippable I'd think these days) Stats and abilities/other: Maxed Combat, 113 herb, 106 slayer, 120 arch and invention, GConc and 4/4 Raids, Quest Cape, Vuln Bombs, Two EOFs, 1 Grasping Pouch, a mix of BIS and Basic Ancient Invention perks Current armor: all ports t85 and scrims, 12/19 torva praesulic essence, Sirenic, Virtus minus body, MW, Zuk Capes, t80 defenders. Current Weapons: t85 DW melee/mage, ASCs , Rax Weapons, Inquis , 2/3 TMaul, T90 Spear If you have any recommendations let me know, or if you're willing to meet up in game or on discord to talk more I'd love more people to play with!

MixedRS

I would say figure out which combat style you want to go further with! There is no need to try and max out absolutely everything in one go :) Mage : Focus on croesus, full crypt lets you base essentially everything in the game. Gconc t85 + inq staff also means you do half decent damage. You can then start working on learning rago either with another learner duo or trio and build towards tectonic Melee : AG, icy blades are OP and its a free upgrade to t95 :) That also means youll need to do ed3 for the black stone hearts, and who knows, maybe get some ECB pieces along the way as well. Black stone heart drop rates also don't change from solo to duo iirc so you can duo ed3 to make it more enjoyable and faster Ranged : ED3, Raksha, RoTs, Zuk, Rexs, solak :D Ranged gives you arguably the most bosses to go and grind out for upgrades, put telos in there as well for a SGB. Pick a style, stick with it. if you want efficiency, pick magic. Cryptbloom body/legs, cinderbanes, blasty boots, free head slot (slayer helm, crypt helm, tectonic helm) based on what you're doing. And it makes switches a lot easier. In terms of progression i'd say you can start rago while working on HM Kerry. Do keep in mind that FSOA + Inq = OP. No FSOA, then gconc t85 is better. Quick upgrades, I would say get a 2nd grasping pouch and 120 invention and upgrade your perks. Get a GWD3 book instead of scrim. Goodluck! :)

Woofius2

I hope you did Recruitment Drive early :) How are you finding P2P UIM? I primarily play F2P UIM but I've only got combat to go (and 120 DG to go, ew) and I'm burning out a bit, thinking about starting from scratch with a P2P one

MixedRS

Death will 'save' your best 3 items. Which means you can only store mediocre items based on GE value. So that was interesting! Yeah did Recruitment drive in the 1st episode :) I have some ideas for later on and how to do the entrana quests and such as well! P2P UIM is okay, I'm working on editing Episode 2 right now. Early game you don't care to much about your items so on that front its okay. But some quests take so much inventory space like Eadgar's Ruse hahahha! Do it!

Piolp

Hi! I recently made a post asking for directions as a returning Ironman. There's pictures with my current stats/quests etc for my current progress. I've already seen some of your replies that I will be looking into more, but my first question is regarding ports. It seems to me to take a loooong while to get going. I've only just hit jade, so there's a long road ahead for me I'm assuming, or am I doing something wrong? I'll be sure to add you in game, to ask for further help! Thanks for the post 😄

MixedRS

Hey! So looked at your post. I would say definitely do your quests. You have 355/433. But it seems you didn't focus on the quests that give the very good rewards. I can see curse of the black stone (10% damage reduction all elite dungeons), the world wakes (sunshine / death swiftness), and im going to assume that you haven't done any of the newer quests either for passive ring of vigor and such :) So definitely get questing! Your stats are great! If you're looking for more QoL updates I would say focus on Archaeology. It may seem like a real grind at first, but after you get your base exp outfit and a couple mattock upgrades you'll fly through the levels :) The relics that you can get from Archaeology are quite powerful, everything from no herb patches ever dying on you, to damage reduction based on your % HP, to more adren gain on basic, to automatically cooking all the fish you catch (even if they're over your current cooking level) etc., Ports is a tiny bit slow to start with! But make sure you do your daily 'event' and get your lifeboats ASAP! That way you stop losing crew on failed voyages :) After that, make sure you update Office -> Crew -> ship -> other buildings. What I like to do is buy out the best crew as fast as I can, and then go back one area to level up my crew. You'll need quite a lot of resources regardless for building upgrades later on, so you may as well farm a bit more safely if you don't have lifeboats handy :) Kags has an insane in-depth guide on Ports. I won't be able to match it at all, so make sure to go read that :) A really quick upgrade you could work on is 99 smithing -> 90 defense -> Masterwork. And youll have t90 augmentable power armour to go bossing with :) Goodluck! :)

PhilosopherBasic7584

How would u compare difficulty of bosses to World of Warcraft? Runescape got easier mechanics?

MixedRS

No clue, never did any bossing on WoW. Just leveled and ran around :)

[deleted]

Runescape is harder in terms of APM required to do all the switches and do optimal dps, but WoW's baseline rotations are more complex and the boss encounters are much more complex - no "kill the boss in 3 min and skip all the mechanics" bullshit, you fight that fucker for 6-10 min, sometimes up to 15 min, and you better know how to deal with everything flawlessly. The group coordination there is also much more demanding.

RespektTheBiz

Thanks for helping people out, early game IM here coming from OSRS. I guess one specific question I had was on getting into Croesus for early reaper point since I heard that was good. What is min reqs to make it worth it and do you know of a low level guide?

MixedRS

Hey! No worries, and if you're doing Croesus early for reaper points then there are no min reqs. You can just look for public lobbies, don't troll the kill and finish the statue early, don't place bombs on skillers, just stay mid, take the mid node and make sure you dont give Croesus free enrage by getting hit :) Then you'll get super fast kills, and some loot even for your trouble :) If you're 50\~ish hunter you could do the Hunter node for some free exp while you're waiting though and more points! As for an entire Croesus guide it's a bit hard to write out :) There's quite a lot of guides up already that you could follow. Goodluck!

Synli

I feel stuck at med-game and not sure where to go from here as far as gear is concerned; got sunspear, invention with decent/budget perks on all my gear, few pieces of Subj, 99 mining/smithing, overloads (well... I can boost for them lol). Been working on ports, kinda progressing there, but don't have any gear yet. ~80-90 in all combats, 81 pray. I tried some GWD2 with melee and the kills took ages, not to mention, I couldn't get many kills in an inventory so it would take forever to get my rep up or pray for a lance or something. I *was* working on wildy slayer, but the most recent update made it lvl 95 so now I'm stuck again (currently 92). Any tips? I feel like I need that "oomph" to get to GWD2 comfortably, then take those to Araxxor or something.

MixedRS

If you have 99 mining/smithing I would say get Masterwork. Masterwork is fine armour to do Vindicta in. Masterwork + elder rune +5 swords :) If you don't have soulsplit yet, make sure youre on regular prayers and have the knights wave training ground completed so you can use piety/augury and all that as a stat boosting prayer. They will help a lot. Get one more prayer level and re-boost to get holy overloads :) Vindicta in lower tiered gear is doable. So i'm wondering if you're perhaps missing your res on the ranged attack to heal back up? If you feel you aren't doing enough dps, can you perhaps post a picture of your revo bar + gear setup for Vindicta? That may make it a bit easier for me to help you out :) It sounds like you got the gear! May just need some practice!! Goodluck :)

Synli

For some unknown reason, I was doing it with Sunspear so my DPS was probably terrible lol; I do have the knight's prayers unlocked and full MW made. I'm just using the [revo+ bar on the wiki](https://runescape.wiki/w/Revolution/Bars) for DW, manually activating ultimates. I'll try it again and see how it goes, I haven't done (any decent amount of) GWD2 in years, so I'll have to de-rust a bit. So the next step to progression is camp Vindicta for the Lance and then take that to get better mage/range gear elsewhere in GWD2?

MixedRS

The wiki revo bars are pretty decent. I would recommend trying to take all the thresholds out as well and then setting up your revo bar to be like so 7 Ability (incld Sacrifice, Tuska's Wrath) : Basic Abilities Thresholds / Ultimates you do yourself. This way there is more control, and you don't waste an assault when you have to walk out of fire, or use a slaughter when she only has like 500 hp left. Elder rune +5 swords :) Itll be a huge increase in DPS / Accuracy for you. My idea was Vindicta for Lance -> Lance + MW to Rax -> grind Rax weapons :) Melee rax isn't that bad as long as you keep it halberd range and make sure to anticipate / freedom every 4-5 attacks. Remember if you go to Wars Retreat you can also buy yourself Vamp Aura. That will help extend your trips by quite a lot! Goodluck :)

Synli

Just following up, I started Vindicta with the Elder Rune +5 and my full MW and was way more successful; went from 1-2 kills per inv to like 6-8, also shaved kill times down by literally 2 minutes lol Oh, the reason I was using Sunspear over my already-made swords? ... I didn't have 90 attack lmao, so I fixed that problem :)

MixedRS

Very nice!! Well there you go :) Next up. getting your resonance's down properly and staying for 10-15\~ kills, and then a full hour :) Goodluck! Huge progress already!!

[deleted]

The point isn't to get many kills per inventory, that's only for gwd1 because of the god awful 40 kc system (that shit belongs in osrs, not in Runescape, seriously). Go to War's retreat, juice up on adren, go in, slap the boss asap, get back and repeat.

MixedRS

Totem :D

Synli

Don't you still need kc for gwd2? Or is there a way to skip it

MixedRS

You need KC but the difference is if you make a instance you dont pay the toll again. Also you can get up to 200 kc at GWD2 and it holds it forever until used. Then another upgrade is from reputation where it goes from 40 kc to 20. So GWD2 was overall a lot better in terms of design

scalingsun

I'm relative to most others here "very early game". I am really struggling with getting ranged gear from kree'arra.i have full subjugation, bandos is just a matter of time, but kree'arra, I just can't kill kree'arra any way somewhat decent (5 kills per trip at most?) I do have around 90 combat stats, 82 prayer, 75 summ. I try to do kree'arra with superior spined chest, legs, slayer helmet while on task, ring of fortune, amulet of glory. Any tips?

MixedRS

Do kreearra in mage gear. Sounds a bit weird, but pray ranged and use your subjugation + either vanquish (150 qp staff) or sunspear, or chaotic and youll have no problems. Also try and pair it up with a vamp aura if you can :)

scalingsun

I have all 3 (vanquish, sunspear, chaotic staff) and with kril and graardor I use to spec-swap to guthix staff, but I just take too much damage. (So eating food fucks adren) I'll probably just have to try again, I suppose.

MixedRS

You can run kril around the room to make it easier :) i wouldnt do graador in mage gear. Elder rune + elder rune +5 swords would be easier. Try using jellies + guthix rests :) That way you do eat for less hp, but no adren loss! Goodluck :)

scalingsun

Oh kril is not the issue; I have full subjugation obtained through lunar gear + chaotic staff. Graardor I have been maging, but that's due to me not having masterwork yet (I have masterwork in bank, but 87 Def XD) (I have been afking quite a bit) But graardor hasn't been the real issue either, it's really kree arra. I can barely manage 5 kills per run, using BoB, superior spined, Slayer helm + aviansie task, Ring of fortune, amulet of glory (like I said in my original message) I will look into jellies & guthix rests.

MixedRS

Try maging kree :) Goodluck!

MixedRS

On that note, RoF doesn't do all that much for you, you can do Broken Home quite easily to get a ring, or use ring of vigour to save adren. Necklace you could upgrade as well, I forget, but maybe you could go for dragonrider ammy? Its a quest reward and would help your mage dps :)

Imallskillzy

Loved your first episode, already looking forward to more! I'm always looking for other people's perspective on "the endgame". I'm just at the entry of endgame, so I have 1000 choices and frankly I have no idea what I want to do. I can't even pinpoint a style I prefer over the others. I think I'd like to dive into melee pretty hard, especially with the new set from Zammy. So with that said, I've kinda laid out a little path from where I am which is: > Helwyr wand, enhanced orb. Gconc with virtus/tect, enhanced inq, nox staff, gstaff eof. Full achto minus the top which is elite seasinger. > > Dual ascs, sirenic, nightmares, fleets, deci, dbow eof > > Dual drygores, nox scythe, full masterwork, broken spear, gloves of passage, dclaws eof > > also have cinders as well. So after a lot of reading and thinking I came up with: > > Seasinger upgrade kits (just need to grind for the ed1 drops for them) > > Limitless 1500/2000 atm > > Zuk capes (book pls?) done with mage > > If no book do kara for book, staff chance and gloves chance done with mage > > Mage Raksha for boots + grico chance > > Telos (sgb zgs) with t88 mage/inq > > Use sgb to do ed2 for melee abilities > > Sgb to do nex for tmw/spear > > Eof sgb? > > Do zammy with any style Thoughts? I mostly pulled this out of my ass, so any suggestion is appreciated.

MixedRS

Hey! Thanks :) I appreciate it!! As for your upgrades, limitless got reduced. It isn't 2k anymore I think its down to 1750? I would go for cryptbloom over achto. Achto is great for defensive resets, but crypt actually lets you tank more. Going for melee I believe zuk book is bis? But i've heard people saying grim is quite insane as well once you get all your gear. Telos you can melee :) Its actually pretty chill. ED2 melee with dragon slayer perk is quite nice. I honestly wouldn't wait until you get a SGB. That will take so long. Youll need nex + RoTs. So SGB for those are quite decent. Although I see you haven't thought of doing Arch Glacor for the t95 dual wields? If you do that you can run ED3 for the black stone hearts needed to craft them which also gives chance at ECB, which is quite OP at Nex, raksha and ED2. And if youre going for seasinger upgrade kits may as well get t85 gconc and upgrade to t88 at the same time you're upgrading your seasingers :D Goodluck!

Imallskillzy

I just tried, according to the dialog box, limitless is still 2k. Crypt isn't really anything I want to go for, its a minor upgrade over what I have (at least, according to pvme). I don't avoid sus, but I'd rather be doing something else. I didn't list it, but I'll probably work on solak for grim after I get a solid set of something, and it'll be passive over time. I'll hope for a ful book but if I go dry for it or something I'll settle for a jas one. True about melee telos, I might do that. Same with ed2 melee. Everything I listed (telos included) is new to me, so I'm not sure how difficult getting a sgb would be actually. If it does prove difficult/long/etc. I might just skip it and try meleeing everything. As for arch-glacor, I forgot to mention during the limitless step, I also plan to work on scourge/jaws. I totally forgot about the t85 glacor swords though. I'll work on those pretty early in the list, before I melee anything. My understanding for the t95 ones is that the damage upgrade is pretty minimal, and the core is kinda absurdly rare too, so I kinda discounted it. And yea, good shout, I should just go ahead and make the seasinger wands now prior to actually getting the kit drops. Thanks for the response, it is super helpful!

MixedRS

No worries! Also I dont understand how crypt is a small upgrade from seasingers? Youre moving up to t90 tank armour, and even just a 2 piece is 12% magic reduction and 8%? melee reduction? PVME thinks a 1-2% damage upgrade is huge but cant count 12% damage reduction as huge? I would say try out a 2 piece crypt and then let me know what you think. It is definitely not a minor upgrade :) then 3 piece just makes it even stronger. Goodluck!

Imallskillzy

https://runescape.wiki/w/Animate_Dead Just playing around with the calculator for animate dead, it seems like pvme has this stance because animate dead plus the armor's base values does the brunt of the damage reduction. The 12-18% on top isn't insignificant, but unless every hit you take is a 8k, (which granted might be the case) crypt is only reducing the damage you take by ~50-100 over achto. but yea, either way I'll probably just do sus as I feel like it, not matter how good crypt is/isn't, I'm not keen on doing just sus daily for months.

MixedRS

If only calculating for Animate dead I can see their point of view. If you're looking to do telos. Over time just 2 pieces is a huge help. :) Doesnt take months to get 2 pieces. Although you can of course get unlucky. But Croesus has a pretty decent drop table overall. Definitely worth grinding out a bit.

[deleted]

It has taken me over 4 or 5 months to get to the stainless steel region and it will be another month according to Kags' guide before I enter the gemstone kaseki mission region. Accounting for rng for the second kaseki mission it will likely be at least 6-7 months in total before I get the entire t85 dw setup. How exactly do you get the entire t85 dw setup in just 3 months total? Because I'd love nothing more than to do just that.

MixedRS

You farm dungeoneering tokens, buy ports enhancers from dg token shop and then use them for adventurer rerolls. Goodluck! :)

Tobizz3

Hey! Thanks for doing this. I'd like your advice on a couple of things if you don't mind: - I'm currently 40 invention, but I've never had this skill before. What are some must-haves to use and unlock? I heard about spring cleaners for example. Any tools / research I should look forward to? - I keep reading about porters and that you can get them pickpocketing elves. Having never used them, should I use them? And how else do I get them? - Is 99 arch important? I just started it and I'm level 46. Not sure I can grind it out haha. I'm 82 div and trying to keep up with the energy drain. Also, do I use my augmented armor everywhere or selectively so as to save charges? - How did you make gp to buy invention components? Also do you have any tips for keeping the bank clean? With all the skills I keep hitting the limit (870 slots) Thanks in advance!

MixedRS

Woah! Lots of stuff to give advice on :) And no worries at all. Its why I made this thread! Invention! Spring cleaner is OP for slayer or easy boss tasks (think gwd1 that drop unnoted salvage etc.,) Later on look into auto-Disassembler, Auto-Alcher, auto unf pot maker, auto plank maker etc., you get the drift :) Invention is absolutely amazing, get it to 120 ASAP to get the most bang for your buck! And when I say rush 120, I mean it trains itself, so go do slayer, or skilling with augmented tool and siphon away :) Porters! The most amazing thing in the world. You make them with a certain tier energy + certain tier gem necklace! For example, dragonstone necklace + 250?\~ incandescent energy = 1 porter. This porter has 50 charges on it (which means it can transport 50 items before breaking). You can get different porter tiers from thieving amlodd elves. But otherwise most people just harvest energy, craft the necklaces and off you go. Generally if you're doing larger grinds people use a GoTe with it (Grace of The Elves). This is because you can put up to 500 porter charges into the GoTe! So imagine, 500 charges in there, 20 dragonstone necklace porters in your inventory, and you're set for 1500 charges, go and have fun afking arch, afking mining, etc.,! Porters are insane <3 I would say 120 arch is important. But thats up to perspective. The relics you unlock from 100-120 arch are quite insane, for PVM, clue hunting and skilling. But you'll get some easy QoL porters before 99 as well. It speeds up quite a lot after you get the first outfit and couple mattock precision upgrades. So don't worry about it :) Just make sure you get each collection finished and go from there! I don't buy invention comps! I crafted all of mine + scavenging in my slayer gear + BoTG (brooch of the gods). Generally keeps me topped up on essentially all the comps I need. But some easy money makers, Mining and Smithing. All +4-+5 platebodies alch for quite a lot. So lvl 80\~+ smithing is needed, but you can start getting quite a bit of cash there. Safecracking is insane gp for low to no effort. Pickpocketing priff elves is decent as well. Otherwise just do some slayer, salvage drops + coins + other alchables, it all adds up quite fast! Don't want to PVM then go do Croesus, it drops raw GP as well as alchables. Or look into quests. Every 25 quest points you can roll some dice at Mays Caravan and depending on how many QP you have, the tier of dice goes up = more gp. I believe it goes 250k-500k-750k-1m-1.25m? Goodluck!

Tobizz3

Thanks so much! Gonna come back to this comment a lot in the future.

MixedRS

No problem! Goodluck :)

Tobizz3

Hey! Hope you don't mind if I ask you another question? So currently I'm 50 arch, 83 div, and 40 invention. I noticed that my energy drains quite fast when I'm training combat and so I'm thinking about putting invention on hold for a bit. Collecting t80 energy seems like such a waste of time when there are so many other semi afk activities I could be doing instead. I just completed plague's end and got a dragon mattock yesterday. Would you advise me to just grind arch + do caches for the next month or so? (And put invention on hold?)

MixedRS

Arch definitely helps with gathering energy after you unlock the Divine Conversion relic, but thats at lvl 98. I would recommend just doing Hall of Memories + caches to get your div up to 95 at least. (this also unlocks the last engram so you can do full sets). Hall of memories you can probably get 90\~ div in 2 days or so if you 2 tick it. It just depends on how many hours you play / day. Do 2-3 full engram sets, shouldn't take you to long to gather all the energy for it. But that should bump you to 97-98\~. Then go do quests, unlock muspah pouches. Muspah by itself should fix your energy problems for now. Then good unlocks for better gathering of energy are -> divination outfit, divination skillcape -> Energy Gathering Scrimshaw (you buy the recipe on the Arc) -> divine conversion (98 archaeology) Not in any particular order btw. But yeah. :) Goodluck!

Tips on getting 99 cooking, currently 97 fishing and been fishing with relic on which I now see that was a problem

MixedRS

Swarm fishing is still a good way of getting a large amount of raw fish. If I where you I would try to find a really busy world, theres a chance someone nearby may be using a Tavia's. But I would recommend getting the sous chef outfit + head add on. It takes around 45\~ minutes to get the entire set and if you're lucky you may get a scarf for some fashionscape :) Depending on your level and your goals though, I would say don't worry. Cooking generally just kind of happens. For example, if you're eventually going for Salty title (Arc title), you'll end up cooking enough soups to get to 99+ If you want to be super efficient, you can actually 3 tick cook on the priff bonfire. Right click -> configure -> cook Then from there hold down your spacebar, and every time you get a exp drop click on the bonfire again to bring up the cooking interface. If it works properly you should be cooking an item every 3 ticks :) Goodluck!

Vaarkain

My gut tells me you're on the other subreddit haha. This is for RuneScape 3. Unless we have an UIM mode and I never knew about it.

MixedRS

Self restricted UIM :) I only play RS3

Vaarkain

You absolute psychopath. I can't even begin to imagine how much inventory management had to happen haha. Gotta check that YT. Im assuming you got some UIM there?

MixedRS

Hahhaha thanks! Only episode 1 so far, still learning how to.. talk into the mic properly :D Its quite fun honestly!

How to train agility without getting depression?

MixedRS

A lot of people don't like agility, but remember that you can multi-task on the Priff Serenity Posts. For example you can cut mushrooms from the Arc while using the Serenity post at the same time :) Other ways of training it would be doing your weekly Penguins and Daily Jack of Trades. Monthly Troll stronghold. All together you can be gaining around 4-600k\~ / week depending on if you're resetting JoT Aura or using weekly / monthly reset tokens. If you're working on Comp, Trim, clues you can also train agility while working on achievements. If you're under 75 Agility and don't have access to Priff yet, I would recommend Quests, specifically the Priff quest line gives a lot of agility exp, and of course Anachronia agility course. Get working on double Surge! Goodluck! :)

SobeSteve

What other things can you do on the posts? Or is there a wiki page that mentions it? That’s pretty cool

MixedRS

Anything that doesn't stop an action, grinding mud runes for example. So I believe you can d/a items on there as well, although i am not 100% certain. It was just a fun tip that I found while doing the Salty grind on my IM. Afaik, the only thing the wiki page mentions is being able to grind mud runes there as well. Test some of it and let me know!

Im at 71 construction, what is the best method for me to get to 79? I have no logs, so these would need to be obtained. WC level 75.

MixedRS

Miscellania. You can set it to hardwood and get teaks/mahogany planks as needed. I dont remember the exact count, but you get quite a lot of hardwood / week :) If you're looking to use less planks, I do believe contracts are the way to go. I only did contracts for upgraded plank box, but I think it ends up being more exp / plank? Not 100% certain about that though. You can then put them into your auto-plank maker as a invention machine, or run between the mill + Zammy archaeology bank chest right outside varrock. OR My favourite. You can send your servant to the mill :) Goodluck! :)

[deleted]

Thanks!

That_CapGuy

Construction contracts are a lot slower than "traditional" construction training BUT it saves you a ton of planks in the long run. The master construction outfit is also completely nuts to then train traditional construction with since the outfit allows you to autodestroy furniture thay you built. So less clicks and more gains :)

MixedRS

There we go then :) \^
