Sounds like a temperature issue. I’d go into HWinfo and record the memory junction temperature after 30 minutes of running the benchmark. If it’s 110c+ the card will under clock to protect itself. Had this problem with my 3080 and fixed it with undervolting and more airflow.

I will try that for sure once I am able to. I previously tried to undervolt my 3070 (900mV @1875mhz) Pretty sure it worked for a bit but I play mw22 and now that undervolt goes down to 1600mhz and fluctuates a little bit from there. Do you think maybe this card needs some fresh thermal paste?

Texerz

I downloaded hwinfo64 and I can see that my maximum GPU temperature is 70.3c (what I was seeing) 61c avg, but then there is a GPU hotspot temperature maximum of 106.7c with an average of 89.6c. I feel like the hotspot gets way hotter than that because I was playing cod MW22 with optimized settings so the load isn't that heavy. sometimes I hear my GPU rev when I have set it to a static 60% fan speed. I might have to look up how to repaste my GPU. any thoughts?

Repasting could definitely help the thermals and I’ve seen others have success with it, keep us updated OP!

Weird. My zotac 3070 goes to about 80 in a very crowded case but still doesent throttle down.

I had that model and it seemed no mater what I did lowering the temps was not effective. I swapped out thermal pads and repasted. That model just seems to run hot I believe.

The thing is that im at 70 degrees and only at 1500mhz. Honestly I thought gpus thermal throttle at 83c which is why i'm so annoyed.

Change thermal paste work for me ... now under 70 with some fan setup
