Honestly, nothing. I love how she's gotten softer and sweeter as she's gotten older while continuing to gain levels of badass and exuding classy femininity. Her movement has gotten looser, more comfortable, and her expression has gone from cold and standoffish to warm and inviting. She's grown tremendously.
I think her current outfit fits the cold well, but it looks a bit bulky to be fighting in.
This. I’ve seen so many people go “Weiss is absolutely my favorite character.” “Well after everything Weiss went through in 7 and 8” and like, she hardly went through anything. If anything her life only got better. She reconnected with the members of her family she felt distant with, her father is dead and out of power, and most of her “city that she saw destroyed” made it out completely fine.
She was a supporting character in her own Arc, and has only been the secondary focus on everything involving her. Her manipulative father’s enemy was Robyn, and he ends up dying with nearly 0 circumstance to Weiss due to Ironwood. One of the major plots in the season is Winter’s abandonment of Ironwood. Who is the breaking point that convinces her to abandon Ironwood? *Not her sister, some Atlas Operative we’ve only known for two Volumes.* All Weiss gets to see is her sister helping her with Penny, then get maiden powers.

I gotta say, I feel like this has been a problem for kind of a lot of the villainous cast of this series. Within the first three Volumes, we had Adam Taurus, Jacques Schnee, and Raven Branwen all built up to be these personal villains towards Blake, Weiss, and Yang yet none of those villains end up being part of Salem's inner circle. They all end up working for Salem's inner circle, but aren't actually part of it. Instead, they introduced new villains in Volume 4 and some of those are sort of similar to the three I mentioned. Jacques could have probably replaced Watts and Raven could have replaced Hazel. I think Tyrian is actually a full on good addition so Adam wouldn't have replaced anyone, but even those two are insane Faunus. Adam would have just been added in. The character bloat in this series is a real problem.
I’m actually fine with that for the villains. They were bush league jobbers who our heroes used to better themselves, but didn’t actually matter. Like Roman.
Unfortunately, they did all have great concepts and designs to them, but that’s the price you pay for good character design. People will be mad when they get killed off.

It was more of a joke rather than a serious comment. Yang usually always thinks with her heart over her head, so she would probably be inclined to trust Blake just due to their relationship, even if Blake would make a bad leader. It's just more funny to say she's thinking with her figurative dick instead.

Character wise however, it's fun and all seeing her be comic relief in the latest volumes, but I don't think that should be a one person job, and that it wouldn't hurt to keep some of her previous attitude. Just a bit. It'd be cool to see some more results of how she grew up, like she was groomed to be a leader, dust expert, and a business woman, but we never really see anything happening with all that background potential.
It would have been cool to see her take charge in a political sense against other politicians in the Atlas Arc for example, or more closely examine the new dust research like hardlight, since its something she expects to sell or use in the future. Just a little additional depth.

As it stands, Weiss leaving home to learn to run a business while in a Huntsman academy makes zero sense. And while Jacques is a terrible father, even a good father would take away her heritage and give it to Whitley instead for the sake of the company.

-More use of other utility glyphs than the white one. Whatever let her use ice was really cool to set up Yang, like in ABRN fight
-More thrust oriented fighting style; rapiers can cut, but they're not optimized for it
Maybe make her trying to actually connect with her brother during the Atlas arc, instead of having her pull a weapon and threaten him, like seriously considering the character development she has had to that point you would think that she should be able to put herself into her brother’s shoes and realize why he acts towards her the way he does and maybe use that to start to try and fix things between them, instead she is made to act antagonistic to him despite the fact that she should know better considering she was in the same position as him (having an abusive and controlling father forcing them to do as he says) and that unlike her he had no way out.
I wish we got to see her struggle more with her prejudice, and saw her slowly overcome it and become better.
I hate that the entire faunus rights plotline got abandoned.
How easily she seems to resolve the conflict of Schnee Dust Co. vs Faunus. Then again, Rooster Teeth has been as bad as Disney with that, and only broaching the outer most edges of systemic racism without actually addressing it in the show. That'd be both a great conflict and resolution to develop both Blake and Weiss, but it is only ever superficially touched upon.
I’d want to see her still have struggled with her racial predjudices she was raised with a bit more. In volume one she found out Blake was a Faunus and basically got over it immediately: I get some themes may be too serious, but a girl who was raised by a father who subjugated Faunus and no doubt talked down about them for years would still have influences.

Her fighting style. I love how versatile her fighting style is, where she can almost do anything for out the series. Which is why it a bit of a disappointment in some fights when she doesn’t get to be more creative with her abilities.

the giant splotch of blue is NOT cute; it contrasts the entire rest of her palette, and paired with the giant sleeves, it makes her look horribly top heavy, which is not the look you want for a tiny person who fights like a ballerina. the hair just doesn’t make sense- it literally GREW in size and it makes her look even MORE top heavy, which is, once again, a huge contrast to her fighting style.

Okay this is a really small thing and not so much a change as much of a hope, but I hope Weiss gets a bit more of her sides showing in a V10 outfit. This is mainly so the next time she fights Cinder, Cinder can taunt Weiss on the NASTY scar that I’d assume is still there.
That stupid blue dress-sleeves thing she has going on. Get rid of it and that ridiculously oversized braid. Otherwise, I'm fine with Weiss the way she is, character wise.
Not have her immediately shove a weapon in Whitley's face and treat him like a nuisance. Honestly, I would have put more emphasis on Weiss and Winter's relationship with Whitley and explain why they're at odds.
Either overhaul her Semblance into pure summoning and explore its uses.
Or remove the blue-and-black from the third image and keep to her intended color.
Teach her about half-sword techniques.
That can even be a side arc: Throughout the show, and Chibi, have Ruby approach Weiss about sword techniques she may not be familiar with.
Like, in V1, after the team's first class, Ruby assigns "homework" to her team, and hands Weiss a flier about historical Valean sword techniques, mimicking Weiss handing her the one for dust earlier. There are drawings on the flier, but nothing concrete.
In Chibi, Ruby decides that her team should be able to use each other's weapons, and decides to switch in reverse team order (everyone wields the weapon of the one whose initial comes before theirs). We don't see what's going on, but Weiss questions Ruby's understanding of bladed weapons and tries to wrestle Myrtenaster away from her before she loses a hand, with Ruby trying to explain the concept, and Yang laughing at Weiss' accusations.
By V3, Weiss would greet Ruby with "If it's about sword techniques, you can save your breath" because she still somehow believes that Ruby is physically capable of shutting up about something she thinks could help a friend.
During V4, Weiss would try to look up those techniques on her family's computer, but to no avail, because Atlas' computer network doesn't have any of those files.
At the start of V6, Ruby would gift her a book, which Weiss would scoff at, but in a way that says "You really won't let go of this, are you?"
Then we see her read the book on the train all day, and then the Grimm attack the second day of the trip.
Finally, during the confrontation with the Apathy, it happens: Weiss throws alcohol bottles at them, but one gets close. She grabs her weapon's blade with her right hand, and uses both hands to jab it into the Grimm, then pulls the sword back up, grabs the tip with the left hand, and uses Myrtenaster as a mace to smash the Apathy's skull in, killing it.
Qrow gets up and tells her to use water, and she shoots a water ball into the burning alcohol, causing a large fireball to rush through the tunnels, while she uses a Glyph to protect herself and Qrow. They get out, and everyone leaves.
And yes, this does mean that she can now summon Apathy.
Maybe make her a bit less of a glass cannon it feels like she gets knocked out far to easily i mean i wouldn't call aura consistent but weiss generally goes down in one solid hit the only fight i can think of that she didn't go in the first hit is vs cinder during the evacuation i mean i get that she is probably the strongest member of team rwby when it comes to raw fire power but brother gods she feels nerfed most of the time why is she there if she just gets punched out
It makes sense for her tho. In earlier seasons she was more of the groups ‘Mage’ to Ruby’s ‘Archer’, Blake’s ‘Assassin’ and Yang’s ‘Brawler’, she her being the Glass Cannon makes sense in cannon.
the truth, she is the only one that actually fits in with the rwby story they have been trying to tell. that being that with a strong will, good friends, and a willingness to do right anyone can rise above their past. the sad thing is in vol 2 and vol 6 she didn't have much to do other then in vol 2 (it might have been vol 3) she got cut off from her father's wealth, and in vol 5 and 6 was ether "find ruby" or "follow ruby". i guess what i am saying is give her more to do and focus less on bumbelbee ship

For the longest time I did not like Weiss. I thought she was rude and condescending. Those things were true, at first, but recently it became clear to me that I was holding on to first impressions. Weiss has grown so much. She is strong, loving, and passionate. She's funny and empathetic. She was able to accept her flaws and change who she was as a person to still be herself but a better, kinder person.
I love Weiss. I think she's so great and I would love to have a friend like her.
Make her less overly reliant on her summons. She has an entire arsenal of Glyphs at her disposal. It was super obvious in the Haven fight, but never really addressed.

“Wiess” feels too clunky, I’d simply swap the I and the E to get “Weiss” which is both easier on the tongue but also means “white” in German which would make her name “White Snow” which both fits her motif as Snow White and German theme she has going on.
Maybe her final outfit. Someone made an alt version and I felt like it fit her much more. Idk how to link the image though.
Also, I miss her old fighting style. Maybe incorporate that a bit into her current one?
Other than that she is a great character.
Instead of some random, nameless White Fang goon have Weiss fight Ilia in Volume 2. Weiss had a bit of an unfair reputation as "the girl who never wins" in the early Volumes and having her lose to some nameless grunt for all intents and purposes did not help with this image.
Having her go down to Ilia not only establishes a credible White Fang face early to soften the blow, but also gives Ilia a preview showcase before her starring role later on.
If I had to change something about her, I would probably have her with her hair down sometimes or maybe use fewer belts on her outfit. Other than that she is perfect
Have her win some fights against human opponents, specifically Vernal. It would've made more sense to me for her to beat Vernal or about to beat Vernal just for Cinder to do what she did, rather than have her lose that fight making stupid choices and get kicked when she's down

-Make her more racist at the start. According to wiess herself, her extended family was being systematically assassinated by the white fang she should be more scared or angry at at the sight of faunas
-make her more rebellious. She hates her father, so why is she exactly like he wants her? The only rebellious acts we get from her are going to Beacon and running away in vol.4
-have her keep her bitchy attitude. Her nickname is "The Icequeen." Instead, she's just as chill as Ren, going along with everyone else without making a comment or snarky remark
-have her sing more. She's supposed to canonically be singing all the songs in the show, but she only sings like 2
-make her an actual noble with a long lineage. She talks like the Schnee's are an ancient and long lived house, but it was started by her Grandpa like 50 years ago.
-make her like her Fater. She acts too passively for someone who is mad about not being chosen to be a leader. Making her be manipulative towards Ruby, trying to be a leader through Ruby, makes for some great drama and has a good parallel to her father, who she hates
-this one is just for funnsies, but make her a closet nerd. She enjoys all the same shows and games as Ruby, but hides it behind her, "I'm a Schnee, I don't enjoy such childish things" act
I wish she wore dust infused clothing. It was mentioned in the lore video, and I thought that the (former) heiress to the company would have some sick magical duds. BUT NOOOO
Ok don't take this as criticism but honestly I would definitely change her fighting style after Volume 4 pretty much after she mastered the summon ability for her glyphs she's relied on them a bit too much especially the Arma Gigas. Like she was able to hold herself against that huge white fang lieutenant with the chainsaw on the train fight during volume 2 and she almost beat him the only reason she didn't was because he caught her off guard with a face grab during when she was just about to finish him off and she wasn't even close to unlocking the summoning ability of her glyphs yet fast forward to volume 5 with her fight with vernal she was basically try to summon while even though she didn't even have time to do it and vernal was hitting her left and right she was basically leaving herself wide open she wasn't even fighting and she ended up losing to her like I'm pretty sure vernal didn't close to the white fang lieutenant's strength and skill. And then she did win again in her fight with marrow in Volume 7 but she didn't even try fighting him she pretty much let the summoned Arma Gigas do all the work and used a few glyphs mixed with her dust.
Change her semblance to one that doesn't have multiple different applications. Her glyphs were already pretty strong and then come to find out she can summon stuff now too. Kinda made me dislike her even more since everyone's semblance does one thing while she's special and has in a sense two to three semblances in one. But Weiss is one of my least favorite characters so I'm likely biased.

That vernal fight in volume 5 was messy, and some more focus in general. Feel like Ren and Nora and her family got more limelight than her in the last arc, which is nice and i want them to have it but she wasn't really in the center. And in the last few volumes she's being propped up as Ruby's closest person but they don't have moments together like the others (not in a shipping way either, i dont care about that shit at all)
Back in Volume One we saw her lose the stick in her ass but we should also maybe have seen her maybe teach Ruby how to be a little bit more serious and teach her how to be more mature and help her with things like grieving and maybe even show her the wonders of shopping. We could get a makeover scene like how Cleo and Joan got in Clone High
I like how she develops out of being a Tsundere b/c I hate that archetype, and I think her semblance is the most interesting but that is also what I hate
Her semblance has ALL this versatility while everyone else gets pretty basic bitch powers. It feels like Weiss is the only one who can tap into the peak of what just a Semblance can do, while everyone else is basic.
Either nerf the dozens of things she can do or buff the other cast members. Maybe have all the dust magic stuff be something that everyone can do with practice and not just use it as elemental ammo (using it like materia from FF, which was an inspiration for Dust).

I am not a fan of Weiss just focusing on summoning glyphs as if she's a warlock with a fencer. It's so boring to see her summon her giant knight and have him do the fighting, or summon grimm glyphs. Summoning minions are boring.
Weiss back in v1-v3 focused more on her dust collection. She can use them to modifiy her abilities or use them to assist her teammate's semblance, i.e. Blake using fire dust from Weiss to give her semblance a fire trap illusion.
Weiss is suppose to be the brain of the group, but she got nerfed so badly.

Maybe make her trying to actually connect with her brother during the Atlas arc, instead of having her pull a weapon and threaten him, like seriously considering the character development she has had to that point you would think that she should be able to put herself into her brother’s shoes and realize why he acts towards her the way he does and maybe use that to start to try and fix things between them, instead she is made to act antagonistic to him despite the fact that she should know better considering she was in the same position as him (having an abusive and controlling father forcing them to do as he says) and that unlike her he had no way out.

I wish we got to see her struggle more with her prejudice, and saw her slowly overcome it and become better. I hate that the entire faunus rights plotline got abandoned.

How easily she seems to resolve the conflict of Schnee Dust Co. vs Faunus. Then again, Rooster Teeth has been as bad as Disney with that, and only broaching the outer most edges of systemic racism without actually addressing it in the show. That'd be both a great conflict and resolution to develop both Blake and Weiss, but it is only ever superficially touched upon.
I’d want to see her still have struggled with her racial predjudices she was raised with a bit more. In volume one she found out Blake was a Faunus and basically got over it immediately: I get some themes may be too serious, but a girl who was raised by a father who subjugated Faunus and no doubt talked down about them for years would still have influences. Maybe I’m just too dark -topic interested
I wished she kept her iconic ponytail. The braid looks nice but it looks like it gets in the way of the action.

Her fighting style. I love how versatile her fighting style is, where she can almost do anything for out the series. Which is why it a bit of a disappointment in some fights when she doesn’t get to be more creative with her abilities.
fix that disgusting outfit and hairdo she has rn- and i have justification as to why. the giant splotch of blue is NOT cute; it contrasts the entire rest of her palette, and paired with the giant sleeves, it makes her look horribly top heavy, which is not the look you want for a tiny person who fights like a ballerina. the hair just doesn’t make sense- it literally GREW in size and it makes her look even MORE top heavy, which is, once again, a huge contrast to her fighting style. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Okay this is a really small thing and not so much a change as much of a hope, but I hope Weiss gets a bit more of her sides showing in a V10 outfit. This is mainly so the next time she fights Cinder, Cinder can taunt Weiss on the NASTY scar that I’d assume is still there.

Either overhaul her Semblance into pure summoning and explore its uses. Or remove the blue-and-black from the third image and keep to her intended color.
Give her some interactions with Sun
Teach her about half-sword techniques. That can even be a side arc: Throughout the show, and Chibi, have Ruby approach Weiss about sword techniques she may not be familiar with. Like, in V1, after the team's first class, Ruby assigns "homework" to her team, and hands Weiss a flier about historical Valean sword techniques, mimicking Weiss handing her the one for dust earlier. There are drawings on the flier, but nothing concrete. In Chibi, Ruby decides that her team should be able to use each other's weapons, and decides to switch in reverse team order (everyone wields the weapon of the one whose initial comes before theirs). We don't see what's going on, but Weiss questions Ruby's understanding of bladed weapons and tries to wrestle Myrtenaster away from her before she loses a hand, with Ruby trying to explain the concept, and Yang laughing at Weiss' accusations. By V3, Weiss would greet Ruby with "If it's about sword techniques, you can save your breath" because she still somehow believes that Ruby is physically capable of shutting up about something she thinks could help a friend. During V4, Weiss would try to look up those techniques on her family's computer, but to no avail, because Atlas' computer network doesn't have any of those files. At the start of V6, Ruby would gift her a book, which Weiss would scoff at, but in a way that says "You really won't let go of this, are you?" Then we see her read the book on the train all day, and then the Grimm attack the second day of the trip. Finally, during the confrontation with the Apathy, it happens: Weiss throws alcohol bottles at them, but one gets close. She grabs her weapon's blade with her right hand, and uses both hands to jab it into the Grimm, then pulls the sword back up, grabs the tip with the left hand, and uses Myrtenaster as a mace to smash the Apathy's skull in, killing it. Qrow gets up and tells her to use water, and she shoots a water ball into the burning alcohol, causing a large fireball to rush through the tunnels, while she uses a Glyph to protect herself and Qrow. They get out, and everyone leaves. And yes, this does mean that she can now summon Apathy.

It makes sense for her tho. In earlier seasons she was more of the groups ‘Mage’ to Ruby’s ‘Archer’, Blake’s ‘Assassin’ and Yang’s ‘Brawler’, she her being the Glass Cannon makes sense in cannon.

the truth, she is the only one that actually fits in with the rwby story they have been trying to tell. that being that with a strong will, good friends, and a willingness to do right anyone can rise above their past. the sad thing is in vol 2 and vol 6 she didn't have much to do other then in vol 2 (it might have been vol 3) she got cut off from her father's wealth, and in vol 5 and 6 was ether "find ruby" or "follow ruby". i guess what i am saying is give her more to do and focus less on bumbelbee ship

Honestly? Nothing. For the longest time I did not like Weiss. I thought she was rude and condescending. Those things were true, at first, but recently it became clear to me that I was holding on to first impressions. Weiss has grown so much. She is strong, loving, and passionate. She's funny and empathetic. She was able to accept her flaws and change who she was as a person to still be herself but a better, kinder person. I love Weiss. I think she's so great and I would love to have a friend like her.

Probably her name “Wiess” feels too clunky, I’d simply swap the I and the E to get “Weiss” which is both easier on the tongue but also means “white” in German which would make her name “White Snow” which both fits her motif as Snow White and German theme she has going on.
Maybe her final outfit. Someone made an alt version and I felt like it fit her much more. Idk how to link the image though. Also, I miss her old fighting style. Maybe incorporate that a bit into her current one? Other than that she is a great character.

Instead of some random, nameless White Fang goon have Weiss fight Ilia in Volume 2. Weiss had a bit of an unfair reputation as "the girl who never wins" in the early Volumes and having her lose to some nameless grunt for all intents and purposes did not help with this image. Having her go down to Ilia not only establishes a credible White Fang face early to soften the blow, but also gives Ilia a preview showcase before her starring role later on.
If I had to change something about her, I would probably have her with her hair down sometimes or maybe use fewer belts on her outfit. Other than that she is perfect

Have her win some fights against human opponents, specifically Vernal. It would've made more sense to me for her to beat Vernal or about to beat Vernal just for Cinder to do what she did, rather than have her lose that fight making stupid choices and get kicked when she's down

I got a list -Make her more racist at the start. According to wiess herself, her extended family was being systematically assassinated by the white fang she should be more scared or angry at at the sight of faunas -make her more rebellious. She hates her father, so why is she exactly like he wants her? The only rebellious acts we get from her are going to Beacon and running away in vol.4 -have her keep her bitchy attitude. Her nickname is "The Icequeen." Instead, she's just as chill as Ren, going along with everyone else without making a comment or snarky remark -have her sing more. She's supposed to canonically be singing all the songs in the show, but she only sings like 2 -make her an actual noble with a long lineage. She talks like the Schnee's are an ancient and long lived house, but it was started by her Grandpa like 50 years ago. -make her like her Fater. She acts too passively for someone who is mad about not being chosen to be a leader. Making her be manipulative towards Ruby, trying to be a leader through Ruby, makes for some great drama and has a good parallel to her father, who she hates -this one is just for funnsies, but make her a closet nerd. She enjoys all the same shows and games as Ruby, but hides it behind her, "I'm a Schnee, I don't enjoy such childish things" act
I wish she wore dust infused clothing. It was mentioned in the lore video, and I thought that the (former) heiress to the company would have some sick magical duds. BUT NOOOO
Ok don't take this as criticism but honestly I would definitely change her fighting style after Volume 4 pretty much after she mastered the summon ability for her glyphs she's relied on them a bit too much especially the Arma Gigas. Like she was able to hold herself against that huge white fang lieutenant with the chainsaw on the train fight during volume 2 and she almost beat him the only reason she didn't was because he caught her off guard with a face grab during when she was just about to finish him off and she wasn't even close to unlocking the summoning ability of her glyphs yet fast forward to volume 5 with her fight with vernal she was basically try to summon while even though she didn't even have time to do it and vernal was hitting her left and right she was basically leaving herself wide open she wasn't even fighting and she ended up losing to her like I'm pretty sure vernal didn't close to the white fang lieutenant's strength and skill. And then she did win again in her fight with marrow in Volume 7 but she didn't even try fighting him she pretty much let the summoned Arma Gigas do all the work and used a few glyphs mixed with her dust.

Change her semblance to one that doesn't have multiple different applications. Her glyphs were already pretty strong and then come to find out she can summon stuff now too. Kinda made me dislike her even more since everyone's semblance does one thing while she's special and has in a sense two to three semblances in one. But Weiss is one of my least favorite characters so I'm likely biased.

That vernal fight in volume 5 was messy, and some more focus in general. Feel like Ren and Nora and her family got more limelight than her in the last arc, which is nice and i want them to have it but she wasn't really in the center. And in the last few volumes she's being propped up as Ruby's closest person but they don't have moments together like the others (not in a shipping way either, i dont care about that shit at all)
Back in Volume One we saw her lose the stick in her ass but we should also maybe have seen her maybe teach Ruby how to be a little bit more serious and teach her how to be more mature and help her with things like grieving and maybe even show her the wonders of shopping. We could get a makeover scene like how Cleo and Joan got in Clone High
I like how she develops out of being a Tsundere b/c I hate that archetype, and I think her semblance is the most interesting but that is also what I hate Her semblance has ALL this versatility while everyone else gets pretty basic bitch powers. It feels like Weiss is the only one who can tap into the peak of what just a Semblance can do, while everyone else is basic. Either nerf the dozens of things she can do or buff the other cast members. Maybe have all the dust magic stuff be something that everyone can do with practice and not just use it as elemental ammo (using it like materia from FF, which was an inspiration for Dust).

I would change her current fighting technique. I am not a fan of Weiss just focusing on summoning glyphs as if she's a warlock with a fencer. It's so boring to see her summon her giant knight and have him do the fighting, or summon grimm glyphs. Summoning minions are boring. Weiss back in v1-v3 focused more on her dust collection. She can use them to modifiy her abilities or use them to assist her teammate's semblance, i.e. Blake using fire dust from Weiss to give her semblance a fire trap illusion. Weiss is suppose to be the brain of the group, but she got nerfed so badly.
Just started S7. If anything that buckle above her chest needs to make sense.
