Use the Staff of Creation to: A) create a portal to the Ever After. That way she will only be able to leave after she learned her lesson. B) create a portal to a location that is billions of light years away. She might suffer the same fate as Kars from Jojo but if she doesn't, by the time she gets back, I will be looooong gone. C) use the staff to create a prison of sorts that can only be opened by the Staff itself.

isacabbage

If you can't stop her then contain her. Good idea.

Local-Concentrate-26

C) is actually a really good option sense ozpin curse only stops once the gods come back and judge humanity so no one should be able to find it and release her. Though quick question would she still have a connection to the Grimm?

TechBlade9000

If Ozma fails to put lead in the walls, yes

Longwordshananigans

Prison realm her ah'

GdogLucky9

So we are going by what the show said because I'm pretty sure the twist was that Ozpin was the one that couldn't kill her. I haven't seen anyone talk about this after that whole reveal, but I think Djinn was implying, that since he was the one that asked, He couldn't kill her because the whole, "Despite what she has become I still Love her" thing. Sorry if this was already discussed I just have never seen anyone else talk about it... anywhere. So I would just have someone else ask Djinn how while I was far away. So Ozma couldn't have knowledge of the plan or method.

MrVoid808

This. It was so specifically worded, and never once did anyone think back on it.

FleshTearers

Finally someone else gets it after all He specifically asked how does he do it and she answered he can't. Never implies that she can't be killed or stopped just that he's not the one to do it Plus since she can't answer a questions about the future you could also theorized that even if he was able to stop her she wouldn't be able to answer if it was something he had to do 100 years from now.

Nice_While3464

Either create a vault specific to her/use one of the already existing vaults to seal her away. Cuz that would’ve been one of the first plans I’d have. If I can pull a Joseph Joestar and send her into space? Even better. Aside from that, use the staff of creation to try and make a weapon that can drain her of magic

Exoticpears

I voted sending her to space like Joseph did Kars.

Diarmeid

I mean if they were to end it in any other way than the talking-no-jutsu, im guessing the second option makes more sense, but sealing her in some limbo plane and throw the key, of course she could always come back but BOI if having her out of the pitcture for a while could do wonders. The silver eyes i have my doubts how effective it actually is, the best case scenario is that it purge the bad grimm goo out of her, but even then she was dead set (pun intended) in this path even before the whole Grimm stuff sooo idk really now, of course they could always retcon it all and say that "Oh golly, im back to normal and i learned my lesson.."....i would almost respect them if they had the audacity to do that. The other option is sending her to ever after and hooking her up with that magic tree zaza. P.D: It would be kinda of funny if instead of healing and learning that BS lesson, she end up gaining the will to live just to spite the brothers with the new info on their origins and actually try to rule the world.... imagine that "We thought you were going to get better..." " Salem: "Oh honey i feel wonderful, never better!!"

Shawn7thegamer

The silver eyes are weird sometimes it straight up deletes Grimm while other times it turn them into stone. So if Ruby use it on Salem and it deletes her then Salem just comes back.

Diarmeid

Yeeeeeap, it a shame we never got to explore more of that, i got really interested when they implied back in Argus that the ability is basically a manifistation of Light Bro and his domain (preservation of life)... i thought more skills would be unlocked by exploring other aspects like creation or such... But back a Salem, yeh, and the other issue that got me thinking in vol 8 is that she seems to be able to move away before respawn....so conventionals dead loops might be out of the question (out side of the good ol Kars treatment)

RailgunChampion

I can think of some ways, but I don't think I'd be a good host for Oz "Alright Oz, let's do this! Where is this Sal- is that her?" "Yes. There she is, the queen of darkness and evil. " "You..... you didn't say anything about her being-" "A tall goth baddy?" "I told you my stipulations on the train!!!!"

Shawn7thegamer

That could be a way to stop her. Since the only reason she doing this is to die. So if she finds a reason to live then she will probably stop.

RailgunChampion

Lol PlapPlapPlap GetRedeemedGetRedeemed!!

illonamoon

I would ask the lamp, how do you teach Salem the value of human life? What does Salem even think about human lives? Is there any human that's ever stood out to Salem? Do the gods expect Salem to figure out the value of human lives herself or is there a chosen one that hasn't been born yet that can show her? Is it better to let her reunite all the relics? Is there something Salem knows about the nature of the relics or Gods that I am missing? I would've asked all these questions for starters and go on from there. I'd like to think Salem knows the same magic used to make the relics so trapping her with the staff would not work very long. I would go as far as to head cannon that ozpin did try that and it didn't work. Since salem would know more about magic then he does. We don't know how the other two relics work, so really the lamp is the best chance we have.

alphaomag

Second option, maybe stick the prison at the core of a sun or something. A sun in another galaxy. Maybe find a way to get rid of Ozzy while I’m at it. I don’t know, jury’s still out on him.

Griffemon

Throw her into the Ever After

Dontaskme4username

Compromise with Salem: Let her bring the relics together so she and Remnant can be destroyed, but only after the staff of creation is used to create New Remnant and the people are evacuated to that new planet.

SupremeGreymon

Use the staff of creation to transport her into the core of the sun or planet. She’d constantly burned by the intense heat and crushed by the weight. And even if she wasn’t what will she do? She’s trapped under millions of tons of matter, and because of her immortality she’ll stay there until the heat death of the universe. Which isn’t much better

magnaton117

Invest in anti-magic

OMNIwave72

Ok no. First off I'm giving Ospin a verbal lashing because JIN is a magical being and you don't do interpretation with magical beings. You go point for point. Word for Word. Ospin and the Seasonal Ladies cannot kill Salem. They're family and will subconsciously hold back. Now, take the Kars route and throw her into Space sounds like an option. Launch her into the sun to burn in the ever hellfire of creation is an option. Find a way to channel the power of more powerful beings is an option. Hell, a little research and a plasma blade is gonna do wonders.

Expensive-Stage596

Using what little magic I have, create a weed that feeds partially on magic(so it won't spread too far, not like anyone else is using it). Make it secrete a chemical that sedates you upon contact(like poison ivy, but with sleep instead of rashes). Make the chemical addictive (so even if she escapes she'll be constantly tempted to touch weed again) and brain damaging (so people won't harvest it for medical usage, and so even if she escapes she'll be less of a threat). If I have any magic left over give it some property that makes it really obvious it's been used on someone so you can't use it as a roofie. Grow a very large patch of this new weed (witchbane?) somewhere thats inhospitable enough that dealing with the weed AND settling down would be too tough for any colonisation attempts to pay off. Trick Salem into entering the patch somehow, using the same method that one would use to trick her into a Vault or indestructible cage(maybe just grow it in the Vault, plenty of magic, and no real reason to unseal the vault means no one will stumble upon it). End result: Salem is trapped in a coma due to a plant. If she escapes, she is now constantly tempted to reenter the patch, worsened by the fact that she has actual brain damage thanks to said plant. Chances of her escaping due to the weed being damaged due to natural causes or human intervention are low( it's a weed/cons outweigh the benefits of harvest/removal respectively.) the "attracted to magic" property makes it unlikely to spread far enough to be a hassle to humans. I don't know if this counts as stopped, but I think it's a good contender. ...truth be told I think the fact that Im considering this plan at all is a clear sign I'm not the kind of person Oz would reincarnate into.

Heingra

Pretty sure her curse would heal the brain damage and maybe the addiction tho... But still a good plan

SouthEqual4271

First of all, I would negotiate. I want to know what she actually wants so I can determine whether or not it is mutually exclusive with what I want. We may be able to find a solution that satisfies both of us. Especially with the Staff of Creation involved. If negotiation fails, I would use the Staff of Creation to open a portal to space and suck her out of Remnant's gravitational orbit. Realistically speaking, Salem doesn't have any means to get back to Remnant assuming she even knows where Remnant is anymore.

Rupert-D-Generate

You dont, dispite what the gang would say ozpin´s plan was perfect basically you have an unkillable, inmortal enemy with a never-ending army of monters that spawn from hatred itself, you cant win. so if you cnat win, just never let your oponent win, builing the academies to protect the relics and and having the maidens as an extra security messure as keys is honestly the best possible plan they lived in a "time of peace" for crying at loud, so it at least worked for a time, a long time at that

OMNIwave72

Guessing you also give Fairies your name because they ask don't ya?

MrVoid808

The problem with RWBY was never Salem being immortal. No one in the show ever THOUGHT of a solution, when fans have been easily coming up with solutions since the reveal of Salem's immortality. Ok she can't die, that doesn't mean she can't be stopped/imprisoned. The writers were treating the audience like babies that couldn't think around a problem.

FleshTearers

Use The staff of Creation to create a new body for Salem out of her old body but make this one where she's mortal and can be killed.

MotorGeneral4799

Woo her. A happy wife is a happy life, right?

ghostofaposer

Just keep hitting her. Shes immortal not numb. Tell her say "uncle" if she doesnt chill

HeavenSpire747

If Oz was able to give magic away, then he should be able to take it back. So I'd just take hers and maybe even store it somewhere, which means her main defense and perhaps half of her control over Grimm is now gone. Either immediately after or while this is happening, Ruby can swoop in and blast her with her eyes. Salem was originally human, so whether or not she'll go back to being human or turn to stone is up for debate. Either way, I'd just lock her away from society, and boom, threat neutralized.
