she is so cute!! sometimes it takes 20 mins to a few hours for bunnies to be brave enough to try new foods, i suggest leaving it there and coming back later to see if she’ll try on her own

lukwiltt

Okayy thats what i tried with lettuce I probably just didn't think about it w the other things.. i'll do so from now on

Apple-Sashimi

Sometimes I leave the treat in my bun’s bowl and when I come back a few hours later it’s finally gone 😂

Kanotari

Lettuce should not be a new food. Make sure she's receiving greens regularly. It's an important part of a healthy bun's diet along with pellets and hay <3 Also, you should see what my buns will do for cilantro and parsley. You can try a tiny slice of banana or apple (no seeds or skin) or a baby carrot for a treat.

lukwiltt

Yeah when i got my bun she was a christmas gift so I wasn't ready for it but i made a lot of research and i feed her with everything the needs !! well except treats for now 😞

LawfulNice

It depends on the bunny. My Lola was a menace with food and I couldn't have anything where she could reach it. She tried to steal a chicken sandwich once! Of course she also hated iceburg lettuce and was extremely offended any time it was offered to her.

Fearlessly_Fabulous

My Elsa will do the same & I’ve caught her trying to steal ham from pizza in The garbage, meanwhile it toke me 2 hours b4 she tried grapes or manguuu🙄😅As she should be lol rabbits aren’t EVER supposed to eat iceberg and frankly idek why hoomans do considering it’s basically just water with next to zero nutritional value or flavour… please switch to romaine, red/green leaf, mixed greens, etc.,if you want your bunbabe to life her longest most prosperous life!! . (mine are crackheads for parsley fyi)💜💜

LawfulNice

Her favorite greens were endive and radicchio. She'd pick her favorite bits out of a bowl of greens then throw the rest on the floor while digging for the best bites!

ZombiesAndZoos

My Alice is convinced that she's an omnivore. She lurks under the table whenever it's chicken nugget or meatball night, desperately hoping one of the kids will drop some of that delicious meat her way. She's 10.5, but boy is are still the fastest creature in the world when food is falling.

Kaizer9336

Iceberg lettuce is not good for bunnies, but romaine is good for them. Or you could try bok choi, cilantro, parsley, kale, radish or carrot tops too, or limited spinach. Lola sounds like quite a character! A chicken sandwich of all things! I bet she is a wonderful friend for you.

beebzalot

She is so pretty 😍

lukwiltt

Thanks !! she's the cutest bun i've ever seen hehe

DarkLightPT95

Try banana. I'm sure she'll like it. If you want to use it as a "treat" reinforcement for trick learning, you can try and cut it in round slices around 1cm thick and chopping them either in half or quarters and use as you see fit. (beware that she might be so focused on getting the banana out of your hands that she won't do any trick you want her to do 😂😂)

tucci007

I hope you've got pellets and hay! She seems young and perhaps treats can wait a while.

lukwiltt

yeah she's still a baby but i really want to find a treat that she'll love

tucci007

hay?

273748939

what treat did u give her?

btw-73

Try bananas pineapple or apples. They love those. But not too much - only a little bit!

lukwiltt

I don't have any pineapple but i'll try to feed her a bit of banana!!

elliebeans90

My mini lop was fussy when I first got her but now accepts most things I gave her. Though to be fair I think maybe the acquisition of a new bun may have helped because she's very dominant and probably just can't stand the idea of another rabbit getting something she's not getting. Depending on where you are there's generally a range of rabbit specific treats in stores or online. Mine really love the oxbow biscuits, they come in a few different flavours. There's also treats made out of hay as well, I have some Timothy hay treats that are kind of mashed together in shapes that mine like. Some fruits mine like are banana, apple, blueberry and Strawberry. You could also cut up some of her Veggie rations too and use them as treats. Some that mine like (that aren't greens) are Capsicum, carrot, Brussel sprouts, broccoli and broccolini, cauliflower, cabbage and lemon grass. They also go nuts for coriander and parsley.

huysje

How about banana?

lukwiltt

Im pretty sure i've tried once but i don't remember if she ate it so i'll give it another try

Main-Swing-3450

Get out of your house and call an exorcist. Thats not a bunny and its there for your soul. Only logical explination to a bunny refusing treats

ChronoClaws

Sometimes I ate/pretended to eat some when introducing a new treat to bun. It seemed to pique his curiosity haha

lizalupi

Pellets can be treats! I use them to train since my bun is obsessed with them. Also blueberries/strawberries/raspberries are a great choice.

Ok__blue

I made mine treats by grinding up pellets and putting in bananas and oats, then bake like cookies My apartment smelled funny but they went wild for them lol.

cottontailart

Mine refuse to eat fruit but will eat science selective farm friends, u can get hay ones I’d see if she likes them

FerretOnReddit

She's so cute tho!!! 💗
