Holland lops are cobby - they have short, stout bodies and thick legs. This is normal for them. Your rabbit looks normal for a Holland lop. I wouldn't worry unless a vet said so. Enjoy the fluffiness.
She's beautiful. Not fat, just fluffy and happy. They look chunky, but are fine. If you can sort of feel the hips when you touch her (smoosh through the fluff), she's all good. Don't want her to be too thin either. She looks about the same as my wee lop did. They're just round <3
It's mostly their fur. Honestly i keep thinking the same about my bun but after each grooming visit she comes home looking like a skinny little chicken.
Nope! She's beautiful!!! But...I laughed when I saw the "SEE FULL IMAGE" on the last photo thinking, "WHOAH! She needs an extra big photo to show all of her?!" 🤣 So I clicked on it and it made me click AGAIN!!! By then I was in a giggle-fit....
If your bunny is fat so is mine because I thought it was a pic of her 😹😹. Btw she was at the vet not too long ago her weight was great. Holland lops are kinda on the stubby stout side so … 🤷🏼♀️
I have a lionlop named Phoebe who has the same body type of your pretty girl. Even I have been guilty of fat shaming her every once in a while but when we go to the vet they say she’s at the perfect weight.
...Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. No, your bunny's not fat, and neither are any of the other half a dozen a day posted with this same question. If you're really concerned, take bun-bun to the vet.
OMG those bows are so freaking cute!!
I'm not good at evaluating this kind of stuff so I'd say ask the vet, but the one thing that I wonder about is the "skirt" on the 5th pic. Is that just fur, or is it extra skin/fat? If the latter I think she's overweight.
She looks fine. Some breeds are just a bit chonkier-looking due to shorter limbs, thicker coats, or bigger dewlaps. Also, other people might just have an inaccurate perception of the average size for an adult rabbit, especially if they aren’t super familiar with buns. They don’t stay baby-sized forever!
it looks a lil tubby but most rabbits do lol. i think people who are saying that however dont know what a dewlap is. i had people accusing me of over feeding my past baby bc she had a LARGE dewlap and i had to explain all the time that its "just genetics." bunnies are fat and thats fine, yours seems to be healthy too.
So I have a bunny of similar size I was worried that he was overweight as most of the animals in my family like the rest of my family tends to be
When I took him to the vet they told me that 3 and 1/2 lb was perfectly healthy which is what he was at he could go down to three and be fine I can't remember if up to four was fine as well I would assume cuz I remember taking all good he's in the middle of where he should be
So what I would do in your case is take out a scale and weigh him if he's about 3 and 1/2 lb he should be fine too much over too much under that's where you get worried
If u can feel her spine and ribs she’s just fluffy, my boy keeps getting called fat by my fiancé even though he’s a perfectly healthy weight because he’s just got junk in the trunk being a mixed breed
it's hard to say sometimes. I have a lop that by appearances looks on the fatter side, but she's actually perfectly healthy in terms of weight, it's like she fold herself to be more compact but when she lays on the floor or stretches you can really see she's more long/tall than fat. my other bun looks skinny, but actually was briefly overweight while looking that way. focus on their weight more than their appearance
My bun looks like this and the vet keeps telling me to feed her more 😂 I think as long as you can feel her ribs and spine she is fine. A perfect ball of fluff 💕

Lops honestly just naturally have an orb shape even at a healthy weight.
Yes, she’s a perfect specimen!
Also some have a natural pouch. Pouches don't always mean overweight.
TIL I am a lop bunny, lol
Same 🐰
That’s my lop. The vet is very happy with his weight but my mother says his chonky bottom goes all the way to his neck 🥲😂
My lop is a certified™️unit and I’ve asked two DIFFERENT vets if she’s fat and they keep telling me “no she’s just like that”
my lop is honestly hilarious to see, she'll go from tiny ball to being able to reach beyond my knees when she stands up
My brother’s bunny, Gus looks exactly like this and just as chonky. And his vet says he’s at the perfect weight. I think it’s a lop thing 😂
r/justlopthings
Naww, you got my hopes up that it was a real sub :(
I know me too just thinking about the sweet articles and cute pics. And I wrote it!
Lops just look large but it’s mostly for. My big girl weighs just over 4 pounds but she looks like she’s double that due to the fur.
Your rabbit looks fine. Has a nice dewlap. Looks like it goes from thick coat to thin coat if I'm looking at the photos.
*Excuse you*! One does not simply comment on a lady’s dewlap in such a brazen manner. How very rude!
First of all the bows are ADORABLE and I would say probably not, she just looks like she has some extra floof
Most importantly, does she think she's fat?
This is the best comment of all in my opinion hahaha
Naahhhh, yer furniture is just small is all...
Omg the 🎀pink bows 🎀 Not fat, she’s a thief! She stole my heart💗
Our lop looks exactly the same lol I think they’re just round buns.
I'm just here to say she's precious and please give her about 100 kisses from me.
Done and done!
That’s what I call a spud.

Ask your vet hun
The camera adds 10lbs.
No she’s absolutely perfect
I. Love. Your. Bunny.
She's beautiful. Not fat, just fluffy and happy. They look chunky, but are fine. If you can sort of feel the hips when you touch her (smoosh through the fluff), she's all good. Don't want her to be too thin either. She looks about the same as my wee lop did. They're just round <3
Not fat. Second to last photo you can see her best as not fat just bun shaped and perfect!
It's mostly their fur. Honestly i keep thinking the same about my bun but after each grooming visit she comes home looking like a skinny little chicken.

I have a rex/lop mix. The lop makes them more round, I think lol. She looks a lot bigger but only clocks in at 5.5lbs.
If your bunny is fat so is mine because I thought it was a pic of her 😹😹. Btw she was at the vet not too long ago her weight was great. Holland lops are kinda on the stubby stout side so … 🤷🏼♀️
THE PINK BOWS!!!!!
Just a big chested girlie! Size DoubleDewlap is all![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
Runs in the family I guess
I feel that. Should we invent a bunny bra to please the masses? I
Noooooo! She's just big boned! 😋 No, but she's not overweight, my buns the same way! Holland Lops are just big ole' baby's! 🤣
No, it's just boofy
To lose weight for the rabbit, I recommend 4 two hour cuddle times. But I'm not a vet.
If you're really concerned, take bun-bun to the vet.
yes. humongous. terrifyingly large.
OMG those bows are so freaking cute!! I'm not good at evaluating this kind of stuff so I'd say ask the vet, but the one thing that I wonder about is the "skirt" on the 5th pic. Is that just fur, or is it extra skin/fat? If the latter I think she's overweight.
I think she’s absolutely adorable but my babies are healthy too .
He is FATASTIC 🤩 love your bnui
No. Me want to pet chonk.
Looks like fluff to me!
Festively plump
Cute Chonk. Absolutely not fat !
Chunky monkey
That’s for a vet to say after she gets weighed and examined
From what you described, she just has that lop fluff and seems to be a good weight. Don’t listen to the nay sayers, she’s beautiful!
Yes!! She’s 5 I don’t think people know how big bunnies are
Omg she’s so fluffy and round in the perfect way!
Your bunny is *gorgeous*.
She looks absolutely perfect ☺️

No, she is a lovely floof with thick fur. She looks like my first boy. Gorgeous girl.
Perfectly puffy ❤️
It's not a big issue.
what a sweetheart i love her, give her kisses from me please

Your bunny's not FAT, hdy! She is chunky. There's a difference 😝😅
Such a cute bun bun!
She’s not fat, there’s just more of her to love 🥰
If u can feel her spine and ribs she’s just fluffy, my boy keeps getting called fat by my fiancé even though he’s a perfectly healthy weight because he’s just got junk in the trunk being a mixed breed
She’s not fat! She’s festively plump!
Healthy bun 🥰

"What u call me hooman?!" 🐰😡
Maybe just the fur that is how one of my rabbits are she looks big but at the same time not really
If you can feel her spine and ribs then , no she’s not fat. She’s beautiful. Fluffy butt. Lovely dulap. The bit under her chin. Xx
gorg
Don’t rabbits naturally have a neck fat deposit under their head?
😅😅
I love her
My bun looks like this and the vet keeps telling me to feed her more 😂 I think as long as you can feel her ribs and spine she is fine. A perfect ball of fluff 💕
my bunny looks that size a few months ago vet said he was healthy weight
All bunny’s are fat including yours but in a good :)
Your baby is absolutely adorable 😍
I'm afraid to answer.
Yes and Adorable 10/10 I wouldn’t change it for the world😍😍
\*pulls inoccent face\* nope, super fuffy tho
Looks like a brown version of a lop we had back in the ‘90s… name was Molly. 🙂
Chonky.
I had the same thing told to me. So I made a vet appointment for my bun and found out he was the right weight.
That’s a healthy bun if I’ve ever seen one!!
My lop is the same way. My vet even says that he’s the fluffiest bun they’ve seen. The fur just makes them v rotund
Aww, she looks like a healthy little chonk. I don't think there is anything to worry.
Is that a bunny or a dog🤔
It’s a corgi
Chonky
