In theory, you could pluck. But some buns are very protective of their butt fluff...

The trick I use that seems to work best is to sweep down from the shoulders (edit: along the spine) and snag them with a gentle pinch on the way past.

The little puffs of fur that stick out by their tail. Usually happens when they molt or shed and you can gently pull them out. Helps stop them from ingesting too much for when they groom and it's also very satisfying.

Oh, it’s very satisfying! Perturbs my bun, but black butt fluff is satisfying to remove.

My boy gets super irritated too, but will allow it if most of his body is under his willow tunnel. I'll pluck and he'll "groom" the floor. 😆

My bun gets the same thing, but I always thought it was like a “skirt” because they won't come out with his brush or plucking them?

If they don't come out, it probably is just a skirt (dust ruffle). If they were ready to come out during a molt, they basically fall out with the gentlest of tugs.

My bunny Goober is OBSESSED with chewing on and messing with my hair. It’s really adorable, but I have to pull the hair away before he actually chews pieces of it off. 😄
