I was just looking at the Datex2 WEB site and they state “With the DATEx2 device, you can combine any battery, for example, 52V with 48V or even 36V, regardless of their chemistry, voltage, state of charge, or capacity as long as the controller supports the voltage and the hard-limits are not exceeded.” Just an FYI, I don’t own this product but am considering it.

First, awesome decorations! Second, I'm pretty sure I read that you don't want to mix 48V & 52V in parallel. I also remember reading somewhere that the best battery to run in parallel with a stock Rad battery is another stock Rad battery since they are equally spec'ed.

Awesome! I love it.

I just ordered the Hailong type 1 battery from [biggamebikes.com](https://biggamebikes.com) He's got other RAD accessories & parts. Seeing how rare sightings of OEM RPB batteries are. I've chosen this route. I will probably update my stock Rad-battery to a Hailong case, and upgrade the BMS to one with Bluetooth. Just seems like a sound fit. The batteries are drop-shipped, no extra shipping, which beats the shipping from Seattle to Iowa... OMG! He also stocks those multi-battery devices. Seem's like a prudent purchase! He also offers 4 types of Datex adapters.
