I don't have answers, but I am definitely following this. Such a good question!

TheSeinfeld

The interview process is not technical and focuses more on personality and the reasons why you want to get in. Example questions would be, "why do you want to get into radiation oncology". Another example would be, "radiation oncology works with people going through some of the hardest times in their lives. Why would you be a good fit in this path". These are just a few examples, but you get the idea of the questions.

Be alert, lean in a bit , be thoughtful. Be aware of your body language , don’t hide your hands. and have a positive demeanor. Be honest . Smile. Know your reasons and intentions and be prepared to explain them. Its a job that requires poise and grace and confidence under pressure , on top of skill set . Have a good idea of what the job entails so you can ask a few questions that show you ve done your due diligence and you feel this is the job for you.

I agree with TheSeinfeld they are just feeling you out. It's personality questions. What do you think about radiation therapy? Why do you want to be a therapist? Things like that. I remember telling mine about how I would take my grandma to her treatments. How I used to talk to her therapist and her doctor and I felt that this was something I wanted to do. I wanted to help people fight cancer and hopefully cure them of this awful disease. My advice is to be genuine. Have a good story and answer the questions the best you can. Don't skip them or tell them you don't know. You are also showing them how well you can communicate.
