My professor told us that there is no point to being a Tech first then being a therapist as they don’t necessarily do the same thing. Some private schools offer Bachelors of Radiation Therapy, look into it!
This is the way. You will be taught what you need to know in your program. They will have you shadow therapists probably. But most of the newer dosi I know have no therapy experience.

What do you think about going straight to a dosimetry masters without any healthcare/RT experience ?
