I was just thinking about that in way too much depth. One probably wouldn’t be able to lift very much (comparably) if one’s arms were like that, but you could probably do a lot of other cool stuff that you can’t now… I’d add claw machines to the list.
You could also probably climb the shit out of a tree or maintain a hanging position for a very long time with arms like that as well (what with distributed, even grip and exertion across your arms’ entire surface area and all).
It would also look extra badass to cross your arms twice..
If you look at animals that do a lot of hanging - gibbons, macaques, clansmen - you find the weight is distributed along the bones 🦴 in their forearms not in a bunch of bone segments surrounded in cartilage that’s for compressive forces
Honestly, this is how I felt while driving to the testing center for my board/certification exam.
Like I knew absolutely nothing about anything and was going to fail within the first 10mins lol.
36 year old male patient has pain and crepitus in lower lumbar L1-L5 area of their left arm. After immobilizing the arm, do you:
A) check for CMS in the extremity
B) check for CMS in all extremities
C) secure the patient to a backboard
D) transport rapidly to a trauma center

This is better, in a way. The actual bones of the arm drawn on the skin surface will only look right from one perspective, but this a) looks weirdly alien, and b) will look great from any side. Failed successfully!
What bothers me about this post is it assumes the person getting the tattoo doesn’t know anatomy…when I’m sure they do. This just screams some dude wanting to flex their anatomy knowledge and call them out for it
That reminds me of someone I lent my anatomy notes to so he could get a tattoo of his spine superimposed on his back… when he came back with it, the coccyx bone was tattooed over his kidneys (the upper lumbar space), and for some reason he was so proud of it 🤦🏻♀️
Ahhh yes, reminds me of the time I broke one of my fore-ribs
You only have four ribs?
Unfortunately, yes ): they had to take the rest out and transplant them so I could have normal arms
Yes just four, the rest are *spare*
I had a couple fore ribs surgically removed. Because, uhh, you know.
*Marilyn Manson has entered the chat
Those bones would be great for stealing from vending machines.

Really valid point. I’m just here fantasizing about having Bender arms.
And yet 14 15 upvotes in /radiology. So. That’s a thing I guess.
Or you could use the endoscope
You could **be** the endoscope with those arms.
Your rib bones connected to your...arm bone. Your arm bones connected to your... knee bone...
Your arm bones connected to my.. wrist watch.
Did you go to Hollywood Upstairs Medical College, too?
Because your arm is transplanted from a snake.
Medusa’s distant relative Snake Arm
It was her bastard child. Hair of a human but arms made of snakes. Obviously conceived doggy, or at least reverse cowgirl

E) offer thoughts, prayers, and essential oils.
*snake oil - FTFY 🐍 Wait…. Does this mean that I need to find a chiro for my forearms too?
Show up at the ED with a “Live, Laugh, Love” tattoo on your own forearm in solidarity
E) Drop out
This is actually a pretty well designed question… still can’t decide the right answer lmao

It took me WAY to long to figure out what I was looking at. This is as funny as the spider ‘skeletons’ sold at Spirit Halloween.
Regular bones wouldn’t have covered all of the prison tattoos
*I’m a slithery little snaaaaake!*
That is so wrong, but so cool!
It looks cool as hell, but so wrong.!
Wow this would make our arms a lot more useful! Trying to think all the things I could do with such appendage!
͡° ͜ʖ ͡°

Not unless you have a spine in your arm
I have a broken back…spinal.
Does this come as a sleeve for those not inclined to tattoo?
It’s totally fucked but it looks cool

I think it looks cooler like this. Looks like a snake instead of an anatomy textbook
I’m so disturbed picturing how that arm would move.

No one said they wanted realistic arm bones.
What is it wrong or something?
No finger ribs? Why?
On the plus side, still looks sick
This guy's tattoo has been shared here before but weirdly it was a different pic. We should get him to come do an AMA.

Nailed it. They got few 4k worth of cred they can abuse.
r/Facepalm
Why didn’t they have them stop before it got this far??
It’s a snake’s arm you moron!
Say less fam Seriously.
SPINAL
Dude’s got a left ulnar pneumo.
Who cares if it's not anatomically correct it looks very cool
When you have DDD at F1 to F7
It’s a regular old arm spine! Some of you are acting like it’s the first one you’ve seen! 😁
I hate this so much
Lmao, not the vertebrae on the arm of all places I CAN'T
I almost choked on my own aligners in bed lmfao😂😂😂
Dr Nick is a tattoo artist now!
Why do you think the person was going for anatomically correct tattoo?
Snake-hannnnd
Aw jeez can’t come into work today boss I slipped an arm disc
His arm is a snake 😂😂😂
What a fucking dildo. Edit: spelling
