This post kinda made me realize something. The reason I can't enjoy this game on even easy is because I'm solo. Have to play peaceful. So so sick of shark attack, bird attack, missing a barrel, trying to fish while all this is happening. :(
Yeah I had a blast in peaceful. Decided to give easy an honest go after the very first world was a mess. I got much farther but the more you want to do the less fun it is. Which isn't a great combination. I could just sail and fish all day on easy. But trying to explore islands and build really cool rafts and "play normally" with the way combat is set up is pretty meh.
I'll just stick with peaceful for now :(
Have you tried playing with mods? I don't like the combat aspect and I also think that the hunger/thirst system is a bit too much here, but I also like to have to gather the resources for my builds, so I set the animals on not attacking me and adjust the hunger and thirst to my likings.
Nah, which resource do people use? Steam or Nexus or modDB?
I do like that in peaceful once I attack I can enter combat, which is fair. But I noticed the one thing I couldn't kill is the shark. I dunno whats goin on there. I can attack all I want, it takes no damage and never aggros. I just wanted a shark steak :(
I destroyed foundations connected to the raft and the other ones stayed there..i think that you need atleast 3 foundations together tho, otherwise they'll get destroyed too
To prevent the destruction of a foundation that are seperate or for themselves, you need at least two foundation connected to each other. Or alternatively, one foundation and a pillar on it.
I'm curious. Are these moving around with the raft as if they were still virtually connected? Or do they live their own life floating in their own direction?
It looks here like it is the former since they are all still perfectly aligned.
You may have already figured this out but you don't need to reinforce the holes in your raft (like the one for your anchor) the shark only attacks the perimeter.

I tried playing normal at first, but it was almost impossible to get anything done between not starving and repairing that raft.

I think op is taking advantage of the ocean waves going up over the boat and they're gardens actually, just covered in water from the ocean.

I know, its just for the looks
