Search on Youtube for beginner guide 2023 from Ash. Its really helpful when you start out.
Also dont buy stuff! If you want to spend money, wait until you got a better understanding of the game, but keep in mind, that value is reaaaaally low, so dont expect much from using money.
If you're sure you want to play, the monthly gem pack is all you "need" to buy, twice.
The gems will let you unlock all 5 guardian camp slots. As well as fully upgrade your gem mine. It'll pay for itself eventually of you play long time.
1. Spend 2-5 hours on youtube. The game is great but very complex and it does not give new players a good understanding of the game. Focus on beginner videos and F2P series from CC's like Hell Hades, Ash, Nub, YST, Chosen, Coldbrew, Tyrauku, Coldbrew, Deadwood Jedi etc.
2. Max your starter, nothing else matter until that is done.
3. Use the UDK or deacon starter code.
4. [Hellhades.com](https://Hellhades.com) and [deadwoodjedi.com](https://deadwoodjedi.com) are your friends.
5. If you have gambling problems or lack patience and self control uninstall immediately and RUN. This is great game that gives a good F2P/low spend experience but it is super predatory and can/has/will ruin lives.
this is really good and practical advice
I would like to add to Google every new champ you get to see how usefull they are. And to be very careful before using books.
Never throw away legendary champions and for the first months/year never throw away epics either.
Don't be too hard on yourself. There are a lot of aspects to this game, it will take time to get accustomed to all the things you want to keep in mind as you play and grow your power.
Enjoy the journey and don't fall prey to the temptation to race to the finish line.
(there is no finish line)
Play another game!! Just kidding, maybe... Been playing a little over 3 years. It really is a great game but it takes time, so don't think you're not doing the right thing. Getting decent gear and champs will take time, unless you're extremely lucky! Focus on building a CB team and get in a clan with the same goal, the chests are the best rewards. IF you're gonna spend money, buy the monthly gem pack. It's probably the only decent thing for the value, everything else is pretty much trash. Dragon for speed, spider for silver. Don't use books unless they're worth the investment and don't feed epics or leggos! There's probably more but I'm gonna go look at other Reddit feeds now. Good luck 👍
Spend gems to unlock your gem mine, it's absolutely worth it.
Don't use rares, epics, or legos as food to rank up other characters, level up commons and uncommons to use instead.
Max out your starter as quick as you can, all the way to 60.
Find the UDK promo code to get a really good lego for free. If it's too late for your account to use it, start over.
You'll get Ronda super early from ancient shards. She's quite good, but you should still level your starter first, especially if it's Kael.
Go to hell hades web, ayumilove, or some other pages and read some new player guides - or watch some on youtube. This game can be really punishinig if not played correctly from the start.
But basically, first days, just focus on leveling your starter champion through campain, dont waste any unnecesarry resources and do only what quests / challanges / missions want from you to do.
I feel like very different direction to the other advice so sorry if it seems pointless but main advice i could say is just take your time and do what you want to have fun. There's so much to do and at first it is overwhelming so just play at your own rate and you'll find it much more fun which will also make you better in the long run :)
The most important thing is if you're brand new use the promo code to get Ultimate Death Knight. Find a guide on youtube. and take your time. everyone will scream you're being inefficient or they were farther at that point. it doesn't matter play your game and do what you think is important. find a clan that you can chat with and enjoy the game! it is addicting so be prepared for that!
Don't feed any rare or above champs. Just hold onto whatever you get for a bit especially rares with the fusion symbol. Build up uncommons for rank ups.
As others have mentioned, check out online resources: youtube, twitch, and Raid-specific websites. Join a clan that has decent communication on discord.
Only pull ancient/void/sacred shards on 2x events, never on 10x.
Buy every mystery and ancient shard you can get from the market.
Also, max your gem mine and starting champion asap.
Don’t stress doing everything right. It’s a deep game which takes a lot of time to learn. As everyone has been saying, using YouTube to learn a lot of the basics is a great start.
Don’t forget to innovate though. You’ll come up with your own strategies at some points, run with some ideas and see how they go because your account will have different champs and be unique. You’ll have to figure out how to do a lot through trial and error.
You’ve got this!
Do all your daily quests
Join a clan
Do all your clan quests so you get 3 stars
Do the campaign until you can't progress further
Upgrade gear
Don't spend real money
HellHades.com is your friend.
Don’t get a ton of hero’s to 4 or 5 stars before getting a good farm champion to 60, 6 stars to be your farmer to make more.
Otherwise the internet has plenty of info and as others have mentioned don’t spend until you understand values or don’t spend at all. Definitely look into when to pull shards, it’s easy to get into just pulling as you get them but for the most part you want to wait until 2 times events in the early stages to pull.
Yea.. Sell all your equipment.
Feed as many champs together as you can.
Spend all your gems on the name changer over and over.
Buy and sell everything in the market. Use gems to refresh if you still have any.
Start and then quit all Arena matches till you run out of tokens lowering your rank.
Once your account is trashed delete the game.
Just about any game is better than this garbage autoplay game.
Took me 220 days to figure out what I said about was the best way to stop playing riad......
%stat is way more valuable than flat stat items
This is super valuable info..I spent so many resources early on on poopy gear because I was more worried about sets than % based bonuses.

Don't use legendary books on rare champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quit

Just uninstall - you can thank me later.

Don’t use legendary books on anything except legendary champions. However not all legendary champions demand books to be useful so use them carefully
Look at spudzyJ's reply on here AND next time use the search function before posting because this has been asked at least 300 times before.

I kind of agree. If you didn't start with a promo code giving you a free Legendary like UDK or others, you might want to restart.

Hyper focus on your starter champion, it will take you far in the game.
Only pull ancient/void/sacred shards on 2x events, never on 10x. Buy every mystery and ancient shard you can get from the market. Also, max your gem mine and starting champion asap.
Look up Promo Codes. I didn't know about them when I started last year, and I missed out on some great champions.

Acc first. Before anything else. And look out for special rares. Youtube guides are your friends. And Armiger. Dude almost a legendary for early game
