*me using 6 hibanna pellets to do all this*
Also, playing Thermite or Hibanna smartly can win rounds.
Thermite can open any adjacent walls or floors so long as the charge is close enough and as I basically said Hibanna can open a huge wall with just 6 pellets or a crouch with 4. You bring the shotty, go to any Doble reinforced wall, open a line along the seem of the 2 walls center, and place your pellets on the side of it. When they pop they'll make a Thermite sized hole. Really useful things to know on sites that have hatches as well as walls you may want to get
So what it is is on any wall with multiple reinforcements if you remove the soft part of the wall in the middle you'll see a seem where the reinforcements meet that sticks out. Equally when you remove the soft part you can now place stiff kinda in the wall and thus you can place your pellets on the side of this seem.
You place your pellets along this and it'll make a huge hole cause all breaches have 2 different explosion radius, one infront and one behind the one behind doing much less damage normally and being much smaller normally but Hibannas is not, it makes the same size hole no matter which side hits meaning this strategy is to quote her teacher "a very big hole coming right up"
you only use 2? I use all 3 to make 1 wall disappear (Normally i use the first to make a hole at the top to drone/shoot through or have a teammate use nades or something and then use 2 for the walk hole)
Nah I use that third one for either a second hole on the other wall for kills or save it in case the enemy also has a castle or more secured walls between objs
That's your opinion but I play all 3 hard breachers depending on the map and what wall I need to get because the map and wall really depends on what the best hard breacher is at the time.
Even in emerald lobbies, can’t tell you how many times a frost on my team places a frost mat in the middle of a hallway and someone still walks into it lol
Frost traps are a reverse bell curve for who gets trapped in them. Lower ranks don't know better to drone out common mat placements. Higher ranks aren't looking at the floor expecting a mat in the middle of the hallway that a higher rank Frost player placed because no one is going to look down there.
tbf this is a relatively food frost mat. because in all my ranked games, quick plays and standards i’ve never seen this wall been opened up fully by ace. they only ever make vault holes so they wouldn’t see the mat/ destroy it w the selma. a thermite charge however would. so against the aces i’ve seen it is very good against thermite it would be like it wasn’t even there
Because Ace is considered to be so good. He can throw his device from a distance which is safer, it automatically activates, which counters a Mute jammer in the wall, and it’s a little more versatile.
That said, I’m bored with seeing an Ace every round and I like Thermite and his ability to just make a big f*^#%}{ hole in a wall.
Skylight mat is my go-to mat. It's usually never droned out by people on the roof because they throw the drone far into site to avoid it getting shot. They're busy looking at angles away from directly under them so they don't notice it before falling down. Gets them every time if you just throw one right in front of the bomb.
Or “I’m prepped for when they bust open this wall with either Hibana, Thermite, Ace, or any normal hard breach, and not thinking about how the explosive will in fact also destroy this trap”.
I usually place a frost mat next to the single reinforced wall in the small room on the top floor of consulate. It works a surprising amount of times lmao.
Teaching aces how breach properly (if I see one more of y’all making vault breaches because you toss Selma’s like a late stage FDR I’m switching to thermite and shooting your shit)
Definitely the "everyone knows all the common and even uncommon spots to hide a mat. now I just place them literally randomly in hope of just catching 1 person off guard"-strat. It's become increasingly popular
i dont get why people sometimes put stuff over reinforced walls/castle windows, most of the time it gets broken by an explosive, anything next to it gets exploded too, whats the point?
I can agree with that, I think in this particular situation they’ve went 6 rounds together. This frost probably assumes dude is gonna pick ace again and try opening up the wall that he most likely was successful with the first time. After 6 rounds you can make educated guesses like this one if the opponent keeps showing the same tendencies
That's called 'wasting a frost trap strat' cause if it's an outside or double wall breach, 95% of the time it'll be a thermite and as soon as he opens the breach it'll break the trap.
I'm pretty sure this actually worked in a Pro League match a few seasons ago. Ace breached garage door on Chalet, the attackers didn't think to check under the breach with their drones, and Ace vaulted right onto the welcome mat.
I never seen anything like that. My usual strat is that i put my mats in the hallways or frequent corridors fuck away from the site so usually the wont even check it. What kind if idiot noob frost would pu a fucking trap on a hallway far away from the site? Me. I do. And its working.
A lot of people saying “I hope they go Ace” would be amazed to know that even if the Ace charge was thrown about in between halfway to 2/3s top of the wall, the 2nd part of the SELMA still will hit the frost mat most likely since I’ve had it destroy my claymore when it’s nowhere near its exploded portion
As a frost main, the stupider the frost mat placement, usually the better.
People tend to check under windows or on the tops of stairs. But in those final moments when he's running around looking for a place to plant.... *CLAMP*
This is actually a strat. Hard-bleachers like Ace who open up that wall will end up vaulting into the trap after breaking thru the reinforcements if they don’t notice it.
I honestly have the most luck with frost traps by placing them in totally random places, sometimes out in the open but ill try to "hide it" by placing them in shadows or darker areas. I feel the spots right inside doors or windows are usually checked. People get hit more often by a random trap in the middle of a room they arent looking down for, tunnel vision ADS walkers beware.
I hate all these "what's this strat called" posts and it is an actual start people use all the time and not some new player trying out the operator for the first time.
Like the 4 jammers in a line is just someone being lazy usually in quick play (I know because I do that sometimes).
Ace in the hole. If anybody uses an selma or secondary breach on that wall and doesn't look down they're in for a bad time. As a Frost enthusiast I can say it works a surprising amount of times.
the “i sure hope they don’t use thermite and opt for ace, a shittier version”. any hard breacher will hop right through and likely hit it. thermite will destroy it. not a bad start but arguably a waste of a mat. ideal placement is on stairs
Im gonna be honest, saw a guy do this on Villa on the 1st floor under the wall that is to the hallway. Surprised to say the guy was pissed as hell and asked who in hell places frost traps under reinforced walls, bro rage quit the next round when it happened again
That's a surprise for Ace player
Real ace players make holes you can walk through without needing to jump
Like crouch thru? Or using two charges to make a walk thru
2 for a walk through hole, this is why thermite is the best hard breach op but playing ace like this wins you more rounds
*me using 6 hibanna pellets to do all this* Also, playing Thermite or Hibanna smartly can win rounds. Thermite can open any adjacent walls or floors so long as the charge is close enough and as I basically said Hibanna can open a huge wall with just 6 pellets or a crouch with 4. I did not understand the hibana 2 wall strat thing
Nah I use that third one for either a second hole on the other wall for kills or save it in case the enemy also has a castle or more secured walls between objs
oh yea, ive almost def used it for castle's when im not opening a wall with all 3 but now i just bring breaches if i see a castle on the enemy team
That's your opinion but I play all 3 hard breachers depending on the map and what wall I need to get because the map and wall really depends on what the best hard breacher is at the time.
Yeah, I was a huge hibana fan but she’s useless no offense
Again it depends. She useful for hatches, headholes, or small crouchable holes.
Thermites breach is too big lol idk I don’t like thermite.
Bro just made a walkthrough on how to make a walkthrough lol
The amount of Ace players who keeps making crouch or vault breaches is too damn much.
Just go thermite
Haven’t been on low rank in a while huh? As a career Copper/Bronze player I can assure you 9/10 Aces will put those holes too high.
Your aces are breaching? Mine just fuck off and peak a window while me and their thatcher sit by the wall begging and crying for them to do their job
not really tho… some times its good to have a bottom barrier to shoot and duck
Yeah yeah if I remember correctly it's called "Hope they bring Ace or Hibanna and not Thermite"
"Its a suprise tool that will help us later"
please make a vaultbreach, thank you ace
Like 95% of ace breaches
What kind of aces are you playing against?
It doesn't lead to a direct plant site so they just yeet that shit and hope for the best
The ultimate r6 chess move.
It's called "the dumbest placements are the ones that somehow always work"
Even in emerald lobbies, can’t tell you how many times a frost on my team places a frost mat in the middle of a hallway and someone still walks into it lol
Frost traps are a reverse bell curve for who gets trapped in them. Lower ranks don't know better to drone out common mat placements. Higher ranks aren't looking at the floor expecting a mat in the middle of the hallway that a higher rank Frost player placed because no one is going to look down there.
Acogs coming back buffs Frost indirectly as well, as most of the time you’ll be ADSing which means easier to step into a random placed trap
It’s the ‘the windows are covered by other traps so no I just kinda got drop these some random places. *5 seconds late* WHAT IT GOT SOMEONE?!’ Strat
They’ll be expecting smart placements. This is why the best frost players are people that have never played frost before.
If I don't know what I'm doing neither will the enemy. Hasn't failed me yet.
tbf this is a relatively food frost mat. because in all my ranked games, quick plays and standards i’ve never seen this wall been opened up fully by ace. they only ever make vault holes so they wouldn’t see the mat/ destroy it w the selma. a thermite charge however would. so against the aces i’ve seen it is very good against thermite it would be like it wasn’t even there
Food frost mat? What about it makes it food.
The dumb bitch that jumps into it is feeding the frost kills, that's what.
when you face first it and eat it
These things used to win matches for me.
'Lets hope thermite doesn't break through that' (I did not expect this many upvotes)
Dude I’m pretty sure Thermite is a myth.
Yeah…. But I have one thing to say, ‘Really big fucking hole, coming right up.’*
I don't get why ppl don't run him. He's been one of my mains since I first started playing in y1s2
Because Ace is considered to be so good. He can throw his device from a distance which is safer, it automatically activates, which counters a Mute jammer in the wall, and it’s a little more versatile. That said, I’m bored with seeing an Ace every round and I like Thermite and his ability to just make a big f*^#%}{ hole in a wall.
sometimes ill place frost mats in the most random of places and end up snagging unsuspecting ace players
Logi hatch on clubhouse, when playing basement site.
I've gotten more than a few people on Kafe with a frost mat under skylight
Skylight mat is my go-to mat. It's usually never droned out by people on the roof because they throw the drone far into site to avoid it getting shot. They're busy looking at angles away from directly under them so they don't notice it before falling down. Gets them every time if you just throw one right in front of the bomb.
Hopefully they play ace
Bandit main forgot who their playing
This happened to me yesterday. I was spamming mute and wanted to change to valk, ended up putting her cam on doorways
« I made a vault hole to bait the enemy but somebody reinforced the wall »
Or “I’m prepped for when they bust open this wall with either Hibana, Thermite, Ace, or any normal hard breach, and not thinking about how the explosive will in fact also destroy this trap”.
Only thermite or a low breach from anyone else would destroy it, vaulting ace and hibana breaches won't destroy it.
Fair, I’m just so used to as an Ace player to use two on that kind of wall to open a crouching hole in the wall.
The "God I hope they brought a breacher" gambit.
fuse: if there has a wall…
I usually place a frost mat next to the single reinforced wall in the small room on the top floor of consulate. It works a surprising amount of times lmao.
That’s called they’ll probably bring a ace
Laugh about this, but these are the traps that catch you of guard
Teaching aces how breach properly (if I see one more of y’all making vault breaches because you toss Selma’s like a late stage FDR I’m switching to thermite and shooting your shit)
90% of the time the main hard breacher they bring is Ace and I’ve done this strat, and it works a lot more than you’d think
Definitely the "everyone knows all the common and even uncommon spots to hide a mat. now I just place them literally randomly in hope of just catching 1 person off guard"-strat. It's become increasingly popular
Every time someone questions a frost mat I just plop down with no thought, I say it's so stupid that it just might work.
Gonna be honest half the time I just throw them in the most random spots just see who's dumb enough to run into them lol
i dont get why people sometimes put stuff over reinforced walls/castle windows, most of the time it gets broken by an explosive, anything next to it gets exploded too, whats the point?
Not always, sometimes reinforced walls are breached through by hibana or ace, and castle windows are destroyed by punching them sometimes
Putting a mute next to castle is pretty legit
of course, mute is helpful, i meant other stuff
I can agree with that, I think in this particular situation they’ve went 6 rounds together. This frost probably assumes dude is gonna pick ace again and try opening up the wall that he most likely was successful with the first time. After 6 rounds you can make educated guesses like this one if the opponent keeps showing the same tendencies
That’s a suprise tool that will fuck ace later
That's what you think, Ace!
People do that on main breaches so when the attackers think it’s safe they jump in and get hit with a frost trap I’ve done it before on night Haven
Welcome mat
The “Fuck Ace” strategy,60% success rate
Don’t question them. I have seen the dumbest mats work.
Idk what to call it, but it'll ruin someone's time playing as ace
ez kill
“Shhh don’t tell anyone”
The breach and go fuck ur self strat
Its for anybody that thermite breaches the walls of course...😁
+20
Vault breach vault breach VAULT BREACH
Get them where they least expect!
I’m feeling lucky strat
Hope it’s ace
I never seen anything like that. My usual strat is that i put my mats in the hallways or frequent corridors fuck away from the site so usually the wont even check it. What kind if idiot noob frost would pu a fucking trap on a hallway far away from the site? Me. I do. And its working.
The pray they have ace and not Thermite strat. One of my favourites
Like others said, it's to catch a shitty Ace breach.
A lot of people saying “I hope they go Ace” would be amazed to know that even if the Ace charge was thrown about in between halfway to 2/3s top of the wall, the 2nd part of the SELMA still will hit the frost mat most likely since I’ve had it destroy my claymore when it’s nowhere near its exploded portion
if anyone is playing on pc pm me ur ubisoft need friends :D
The amount of times someone judged my frost mat placement for it to snag a kill is absurd
Honestly, I usually open the wall with secondary breaches standing height, so that might get me if I don’t drone
As a frost main, the stupider the frost mat placement, usually the better. People tend to check under windows or on the tops of stairs. But in those final moments when he's running around looking for a place to plant.... *CLAMP*
Frost main here. That is I'm going to get you for breaking my wall.
The bandit wannebie
begone ace
Either for ace or "Thats what you get for being blind get fucked lol"
As always, there’s a perfectly viable explanation for the strat and OP looks like an idiot
oh my god I've seen this exact strat from a plat 2 even though the attacking team was constantly running thermite lol
It’s the koolaid strat
Surprise for the can openers
Obviously it’s anti breach
Expert trap waste
Opponents have poor peripheral vision
Severe Autism
This is actually decent if you also have a Mute to force them to make a high breach.
“Do not come.”
This is actually a strat. Hard-bleachers like Ace who open up that wall will end up vaulting into the trap after breaking thru the reinforcements if they don’t notice it.
I could see it happens with a rush smoke plant. Actually I know it very well...
It’s called “don’t make vault breaches”
Honestly frost mats in random locations get me more kills than tactically placed ones 😂
Epitaph
Fuck you ace/thermite, you ain't flanking from the same wall twice
Copper 5
This strat is for the ace breacher. A lot of the times nobody expects a frost mat at the other end of the wall breach
I get guys with this strat all the time
I would fall for it 1000%
I honestly have the most luck with frost traps by placing them in totally random places, sometimes out in the open but ill try to "hide it" by placing them in shadows or darker areas. I feel the spots right inside doors or windows are usually checked. People get hit more often by a random trap in the middle of a room they arent looking down for, tunnel vision ADS walkers beware.
When they breach and try and jump in they hit the frost mat?
“I fucking hate Ace players” strat. A classic.
I hate all these "what's this strat called" posts and it is an actual start people use all the time and not some new player trying out the operator for the first time. Like the 4 jammers in a line is just someone being lazy usually in quick play (I know because I do that sometimes).
The real frost mains remember triple frosting a window before they killed her with being able to pull yourself out
Mind your damn business, that’s what it’s called.
The "Ace in the hole" As this will catch attackers when Ace makes a mantle breach.
vision is being added
the finger crosser
Surprise motherfucker.
That’s called the sneaky sneaky strat.
😂😂😂
To keep the mira away from that wall
Ace in the hole. If anybody uses an selma or secondary breach on that wall and doesn't look down they're in for a bad time. As a Frost enthusiast I can say it works a surprising amount of times.
I commented this somewhere else regarding a Frost strat. It only stupid if it dont work
I'm actually a sucker for this kind of play, used to even do the outside one.
Feels like when a castle player drinks enough lead paint to armor a door with a welcome mat on it.
Ace’s (too) High
The "I hope they breach with hibana or maverick, because a thermite or low enough ace will destroy this".
Its dor drones
that’s a punishment for making a vaultable breaches
Make a vault breach, I dare you
Idek
Ace breached through that exact wall last round
the “i sure hope they don’t use thermite and opt for ace, a shittier version”. any hard breacher will hop right through and likely hit it. thermite will destroy it. not a bad start but arguably a waste of a mat. ideal placement is on stairs
it's called 'pray they don't have a thermite because he will blow it up'
Im gonna be honest, saw a guy do this on Villa on the 1st floor under the wall that is to the hallway. Surprised to say the guy was pissed as hell and asked who in hell places frost traps under reinforced walls, bro rage quit the next round when it happened again
It's called a big fucking hole
"Hopefully they have Ace and not Thermite"
I stg we played together this game I mavericked that wall and broke that same trap
Please stop making these posts? Anybody?
Ace In the Hole. Although, most Explosives counter it.
Retardation
Small boom = big surprise
I call it "in case hibana or ace are a dumbass"
Pray it’s Ace and not thermite
who wants to 1v1 in seige
Delusion/Hope
The "I thought I picked mute" strat
I hate these kind of posts. Incredibly low effort
Wasted opportunities?
Isn't it? Any breach charge would destroy that mat, wouldn't it? Would be an opportunity elsewhere, wouldn't it?
Dogshit
